I tried viral ‘Dubai chocolate’ bar made in Ireland as orders ‘skyrocket’ with up to 20 day wait due to huge demand

THE viral ‘Dubai chocolate’ bar has caused a major frenzy among chocoholics – and demand for the sweet treat has “skyrocketed” in Ireland.

Sugar Plum Sweetery, based in Westmeath, has created its own Dubai Chocolate Bars.

The “Dubai chocolate” trend gained momentum on social media platforms like TikTok, captivating dessert enthusiasts worldwide.

Knafeh, a traditional Arab dessert, gives the Dubai chocolate a nice crunch.

We put Sugar Plum Sweetery’s Irish-made viral Dubai Chocolate bars, costing €9.95, to the test.

The clear wrapping reveals the chunky chocolate with green, gold and glitter detail.

Munching into the chocolatey goodness, the viral cocoa bar certainly lived up to its reputation.

I was pleasantly surprised as the pistachio wasn’t as overpowering as I imagined.

The pistachio, crunchy kataifi pastry, tahini, and the creamy milk chocolate were a dream.

Its unique flavours reminded me of a Ferrero Roche and Kinder Bueno blend.

And the combination of the filling and chocolate ratio was just right.

I filled up quickly on this lush bar but couldn’t stop myself reaching for more.

It’s the perfect choice for chocolate lovers who need a different indulgence.

The award winning Irish Chocolatier said the “absolutely scrumptious” chocolate delivers an “unparalleled taste experience”.

They said: “The most scrumptious handmade viral Dubai Chocolate Bars made using the most premium ingredients including pistachio and kataifi pastry by your favourite Irish chocolatier.

“Try it here in Ireland, even better than the original Dubai Chocolate Bar.”

Owner Denise Buckley said the demand for this bar is “unlike anything” they’ve ever seen.

She said: “Orders have skyrocketed by over 500 per cent, and people are reordering in bulk.

“The feedback has been phenomenal — people are absolutely in love with this bar.”

WHERE TO BUY

The Dubai Chocolate Bar is set to exclusively launch at Avoca Stores in the coming weeks.

For now customers can find the bar stocked in their Mullingar store or order it online.

A large team of master chocolatiers are now working 24 hours a day to produce this liquid gold.

They have had to triple the size of their team over the last two months to keep up with demand

And they’ve even dropped 10- and 20-bar multipacks to keep up with the insatiable demand.

For those who may prefer a little less pistachio, their Bueno Bliss Bar, costing €4.95, oozes with a creamy hazelnut filling.

Those who like a little sweet and savoury, the homemade salted caramel frogs, retailing at €8.95, will take you on a trip down memory lane.

The Mullingar based chocolate factory and sweet shop, which opened in 2022, has caused a major stir on TikTok.

Sugar Plum Sweetery’s Denise and David Buckley said: “Inspired by the magic of Willy Wonka and the nostalgia of childhood wonder, we embarked on a quest to craft extraordinary chocolates that were not just unique but exclusive to our sweetery.

“And there’s more…hidden within the packaging of some of our products are Golden Tickets!

“Yes, just like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, we’ve added these tickets randomly, waiting for you to discover. If you’re the lucky finder of one of these Golden Tickets, you’re in for a treat.”

Eagle-eyed Apple fan spots ‘clever’ HIDDEN secret in three iPhone wallpapers – but can you see it too?

A SAVVY Apple fan has spotted a “clever” hidden secret in the official iPhone wallpapers.

The Easter egg is carried across Apple’s latest three models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and the new iPhone 16e.

The iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16, and iPhone 16e, all lined up – can you spot the trend?

Apple only unveiled the iPhone 16e last week, and it won’t be in stores until Friday, February 28.

The shiny new gadget is the cheapest of the lot, coming in at £599 / $599.

And this fresh addition means that there’s a fun design treat in the design of the wallpapers.

The discovery was made by a Reddit user, who admitted: “Didn’t even notice it until Apple lined up all three phones next to each other.”

They revealed: “Each iPhone 16 model’s wallpaper is inspired by the number of camera lenses it has.

“I think it’s pretty cool how the abstract wallpapers for each iPhone 16 model cleverly reference the camera lenses they have.”

Once you notice it, you won’t be able to forget it.

Plain as day, the iPhone 16e has a single camera – and one big circle on its wallpaper.

Then there’s the iPhone 16, with its two vertically stacked cameras. Its wallpaper? Two circles, one above the other.

And for the iPhone 16 Pro, with a triangle arrangement for its three cameras, we get a similar tribute: three circles, overlapping but slightly offset.

Other Apple fans found themselves impressed by the discovery, which had been hiding in plain sight for months.

After all, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro were announced back in September 2024.

One Reddit user joked about giving the eagle-eyed fan a virtual “like”, saying: “Take your upvote.”

Another said: “Woah, I didn’t even notice it!”

OTHER HIDDEN IPHONE SECRETS TO SPOT

Apple fans will know that the iPhone is packed with plenty of clever visual secrets.

For instance, take a look at your iPhone’s Clock app. Don’t tap it – just check out the symbol on your Home Screen.

You might have missed this: the icon is actually a working clock that’s telling the real time.

It’s not just on the main Home Screen, either. It’ll even work if you’re looking at the icon through the drag-down Home Screen search.

It’s the same story for the Calendar app, which will show you today’s date correctly.

Now take a look at the Apple Maps icon. Notice anything interesting?

It’s actually a cut-out of the real map from Cupertino, California, where Apple’s HQ is based.

In fact, you can see the giant ring-shaped Apple Park campus in the top-right corner.

Next, head into the Control Centre (swipe down from the top-right corner) to look at the torch icon.

If you tap it, it’ll change colour to show that the torch is lit up.

But if you look closely, you’ll also notice that the tiny button on the torch moves to signal that it’s switched on. Neat.

Who is Jude Bellingham’s girlfriend Ashlyn Castro?

Ashlyn Castro, 27, is an American influencer and model who hails from Los Angeles, California.

In January 2025, the model made headlines after The Sun exclusively revealed that she had been on a string of dates with Jude Bellingham.

Ashlyn has previously dated US basketball star Terance Mann and has been linked with a string of A-listers in recent years, including actor Michael B. Jordan and basketball star LaMelo Ball.

Aside from this information, not much else is known about the model as she has previously stated that she has ”never been one to share anything too personal” online.

In 2021, after losing her dad to Covid, she took to Instagram to share a tribute which read: “I’ve never been one to share anything too personal on [social media].

“I keep the people I love most closest to my heart, I want to protect them at all costs.”

String of dates

According to pals, the pair have been on several dates, including one in which Ashlyn met Bellingham’s parents.

In January 2025, while in Real Madrid’s Wags and family box, the model was seen chatting with his mum Denise, and dad Mark.

The couple were later spotted heading for a lunch date in the Spanish capital, and Ashlyn was snapped with the midfielder and his family in the stands for a game against Girona in February 2025.

When she’s not supporting Bellingham from the stands, Ashlyn is keeping her huge fanbase updated over on social media.

The American influencer regularly shares stunning selfies and snaps from her travels on Instagram.

She has also amassed a huge following on TikTok where she posts makeup tutorials and shares fashion advice with fans.

However, in December 2024, Laura confirmed that she was single.

Zoe Ball in surprise return to TV for hit BBC series after quitting Radio 2’s breakfast show

ZOE Ball looks set to make a big return to TV after signing up for a fan favourite TV show.

The popular presenter recently stood down from hosting her BBC Radio 2 breakfast show after six years at the helm.

Zoe, 54, stood down as she revealed she wanted to focus on family after her mother Julia passed away from cancer.

Now, just a few months on from her departure, The Sun can exclusively reveal that she has bagged herself a top new TV role.

Zoe has signed up to be one of the stars on the next run of the BBC show Who Do You Think You Are?

The show follows celebrities as they trace back their past and to learn more about their ancestry and their heritage.

An insider told The Sun: “Zoe comes from a famous family but not much is known beyond that.

“She was really excited to get be asked to the do show and is really looking forward to seeing what they find.”

Who Do You Think You Are declined to comment when approached by The Sun.

The new TV venture comes just days after it was revealed that the star, once the second highest paid BBC star, was working “at her local cafe”.

She reunited with her ex-husband Norman Cook for the shifts after escaping London for a cosier life in leafy Sussex.

Her son Woody Cook, who starred on Channel 4 show The Circle, told the MailOnline: “In the last five years, it’s been funny watching my parents take up gardening both of them.”

“These crazy party people I grew up with are now gardening, making puzzles and working in the local café,” Woody said.

“It’s very funny to see that transitional period, just as I’m kind of leaving the nest and now at the start of something big for me in music.”

Zoe and musician Fatboy Slim – real name Norman Cook – were married from 1999 to 2020.

The DJ and record producer owns the Big Beach Cafe in Hove and is often seen working there wearing a name badge reading: “Norm.”

‘You have to deliver’ – PDC chief defends darts rule change players slammed as ‘kick in the teeth’ and ‘soul-destroying’

PDC chief Matt Porter has defended the changes made to the European Tour following criticism from stars.

Last month the PDC announced players in the top 16 in the Order of Merit would receive a bye to the second round at European Tour events.

Ryan Searle has been a vocal critic of the new ruling[/caption]

That means the likes of Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen would not have to compete in the first round, but those in the top 16 of the ProTour Order of Merit would, such as Dave Chisnall.

There has been a considerable backlash to the change but PDC chief executive Porter believes there are now more opportunities for players to earn a living.

He told Online Darts: “That product is there for the player’s benefit. That product is not a particularly commercially prolific product.

“It doesn’t have a crowd, it doesn’t have broadcasters, it’s a product that is live-streamed on our website and on certain betting websites for obvious reasons.

“Ultimately, it is a product that is there to give the players an opportunity to make a living.

“If you’re a Tour Card holder now, you’ve got the equivalent of 104 tournaments, one a week over the two years of your Tour Card now. That’s a lot of opportunities.

“When you look at individual sports, if you’re being given the opportunity, on average, once a week to go and earn a living, then there comes a time when you have to deliver. Otherwise, maybe you’re not ready for the status that you’ve got.”

World No18 Ryan Searle was one of several stars to hit out at the change, saying: “What is the point of the ProTour Order of Merit? The one that shows the true form and consistency of players. Asking for a friend.”

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

He later doubled down on the comment, adding: “The top 16 are protected as it is anyway, and that only makes it worse. So yeah, obviously I do a lot of travelling going to all the Euro Tours, I try and do as many Pro Tours as I can and it just feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth.

“It’s just one of those things and I’ll deal with it. I try not to moan too much, I’ve said this year that I’m not going to moan. I’m just going to get my head down, put a lot more effort in than I have in the past and see where that takes me.”

Fellow player Willie O’Connor hit out at the ruling, which he labelled “soul destroying”.

He said: “It’s relentless, it’s so difficult.

“Like, the tour is, it’s soul destroying. You can go in and play in the best darts of your life and still go home with no money in the bank.

“So yeah, the tour is so hard, it’s the best players in the world.

“It’s not the best players in Ireland or England or Germany, it’s the best players in the world, and that’s what you’re against every week.

“The European Tour is such a huge part of the Pro Tour, and now eight qualify for the Pro Tour?

“I’m sorry for the Europeans, it’s like we haven’t a chance. How do you break into the top 32?

“How do you break in? I mean like whatever opportunity I have to pull it out from under you, and it makes it so difficult.

“So even if you qualify for one or two of those in the year, it’s going to be huge.

“You can’t catch the big boys. They are where they are and they’re going to stay there.”
