Arsenal player ratings: David Raya saves all three-points for Arsenal but Trossard’s woeful deliveries an issue again

ARSENAL finally won a match with ten-men after Myles Lewis-Skelly was controversially sent off.

The wonderkid was surprisingly given a red card for a foul on Wolves star Matt Doherty at the end of the first-half in a decision that was described as “nonsensical”.

It was the Gunners’ fourth sending off this season and they had not won any of their matches without 11 players this term.

But Arsenal showed their character and battled past Wolves 1-0.

Here is how SunSport rated the players’ performances.

DAVID RAYA – 8/10

Very little to do until the 63rd minute when he brilliantly tipped a deflected Cunha effort wide.

He then stopped Ait-Nouri in a one-on-one in the 84th minute.

MYLES LEWIS-SKELLY – 6

Was having another fine game before being the victim of one of most ludicrous red cards in Prem history. His cynical trip was worthy of a yellow and nothing more.

WILLIAM SALIBA – 7

Arsenal just look so solid with him in this backline. A welcome return from a minor hamstring injury. Kept Cunha at bay.

GABRIEL – 7

Led from the front and put his body on the line. Constantly headed away from danger.

JURRIEN TIMBER – 6

Hit with some nasty challenges that required treatment – including one that had Joao Gomes sent off – but carried on playing and was resolute.

DECLAN RICE – 7

More of a goal threat than in recent weeks and stood up when Arsenal needed him.

THOMAS PARTEY – 7

Steady Eddie for most parts back in his favoured midfield position after spells at right-back this season. Displayed his importance to this side once more.

ETHAN NWANERI – 6

Unfortunately made way at half-time as a sacrificial lamb following Lewis-Skelly’s sending off. Was a lively, creative spark in the first-half.

LEANDRO TROSSARD – 5

In the absence of Bukayo Saka, the Belgian is on corner-taking duty, but his deliveries were woeful. A quiet afternoon that sums up why he is in and out of the team currently.

GABRIEL MARTINELLI – 6

Was lacking that clinical edge in the first half, but came up with the cross after the break that led to Arsenal’s vital opener.

KAI HAVERTZ – 7

Missed two glorious first half chances with his head and another in the second half, but worked tirelessly on his own – especially with Arsenal down to ten.

SUBS:

RICCARDO CALAFIORI (NWANERI, 45) – 8

The sort of goal that keeps title dreams alive. Added real height and danger aerially, as well as a sweet volley from a tough angle.

KIERAN TIERNEY (MARTINELLI, 87) – N/A

It has been suggested singer Mabel could be under the mask[/caption]

Now, singer Mabel has been suggested as the anonymous star under the mask.

Born Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey, the 28-year-old’s 2019 debut studio album High Expectations was certified platinum.

She comes from an impressive lineage, being the daughter of Brit Award-winning Swedish singer Neneh Cherry.

Her uncle is singer Eagle-Eye Cherry, while Mabel’s father is music producer Cameron McVey.

Writing online, a fan shared how Pufferfish’s clues could possibly link to Mabel.

They penned: “Mabel? voice may fit.

“Yet another with Food Luck song, which is actually hers. Good luck was sald again tonight.

“She’s written for Four of Diamonds, hence, sparkling clue. Has a BRIT award and performed at the BRITs.

“Very musical family, her mum is Neneh Cherry.

“Worked with 2 acts with 5 then 6 letters in their names like the dice, Harry Styles and Clean Bandit.

“There seem to be Mabel pumps from Sarah Jessica Parker.

“There seems to be a game called Reverse Falls with a character called Mabel Gleeful.”

They concluded: “Some of that may be a stretch, but we say so even the real clue answers get revealed too!”

In their first appearance, the star sang Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!”

Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?

Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.

Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.

Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.

Here’s who has been unmasked so far:

Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks

Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray

Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity

Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.

Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.

Pufferfish followed this up with a rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s classic “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”.

Other names speculated include Netflix star Jenna Ortega, The X Factor legend Dannii Minogue and West End performer Samantha Barks.

Fans will only discover the character’s true identity once the mask comes off.

The Masked Singer airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

Inside the ‘Jacuzzi of Death’ where anything that DARES enter will be killed & left to disintegrate in toxic waters

A TERRIFYING salty circle of tragedy known as the “Jacuzzi of Death” is filled with tragic creatures that have been killed in its toxic waters.

This horrifying spot in the Gulf of Mexico is known to kill everything that goes inside it.

Nearly all creatures that have dared to enter the area have died
Map showing the location of the Jacuzzi of Death in the Gulf of Mexico.

The dead zone is a 100-foot-wide “bottomless” pocket filled with toxic substances.

This concoction of methane, excessively salty water, and hydrogen sulphide means nearly everything that crosses its path is killed.

The murderous underwater lake sits nearly 3,000 feet below the Gulf of Mexico.

Its briny waters are so dense the death trap has been dragged to the bottom of the gulf and cannot mix with the rest of the ocean.

This death pool is four times more salty than the ocean waters around it, which ensures these bodies never mix.

Terrifying images reveal how these toxic waters slowly disintegrate the unfortunate crabs and fish that end up in the death zone.

This dangerous spot was found by scientists 10 years ago when they realized creatures would enter never to be seen again.

Erik Cordes of Temple University who discovered the site 3,300ft below the Gulf’s surface told Seeker.com: “It was one of the most amazing things in the deep sea.

“You go down into the bottom of the ocean and you are looking at a lake or a river flowing.

“It feels like you are not on this world.”

Other scientists pointed out shocking scenes of “pickled” crabs who died in this treacherous death pool, according to The LA Times.

A marine chemist, Scott Wankel, said: “These larger organisms really don’t like to be in this fluid — or maybe they just come here to die.”

The terrifying zone was dubbed a “jacuzzi” as the temperature of this pool is warmer than the waters around it.

Surprisingly only one living creature can survive in these toxic waters.

Mussels can withstand these horrifying conditions and this “jacuzzi” is lined with them.

Colonies of bacteria have also been able to survive in this terrifying underwater spot.
