Man Utd flop Antony could be joined at Real Betis by fellow Red Devils outcast as they target loan transfer
REAL BETIS are reportedly ready to offer Tyrell Malacia an Old Trafford escape.
The Red Devils have already sent Antony on loan to the LaLiga club for the remainder of the season.
Tyrell Malacia has been linked with a loan move away from Manchester United[/caption]Antony has endured a miserable time in the North West since signing for £85.5million in September 2022.
He joined Betis – currently 10th in Spain’s top tier – last Friday, but didn’t play in a 1-0 win over Mallorca at the weekend.
Malacia has also struggled at Old Trafford after becoming Erik ten Hag‘s first signing in June of the same year.
He has appeared in just 25 games across the last three seasons, failing to notch either a goal or assist.
Malacia only returned to first-team football last November after serious knee surgery.
The 25-year-old was sidelined for 15 months but has since been unable to nail down a place under Ruben Amorim.
According to The Mail, Betis are preparing a late loan bid for Malacia before Monday’s deadline.
The full-back is desperate for regular minutes, with United hoping to bring in Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu.
FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS
Should Dorgu join United before the deadline, Malacia would be pushed further down the pecking order.
He has appeared only seven times this season after making his triumphant return from injury.
All of those appearances have been off the bench, including in United’s dramatic 2-1 Europa League win over Rangers last week.
Malacia told United’s official website prior to his return: “I always want to play good games, so it doesn’t matter against who.
“I feel sharp and I feel ready. All I want to do is to play football.
“It’s been a long time so I’m happy to be back.”
MAN UTD PLAYER RATINGS: Maguire puts in superb defensive display but Garnacho caught running into blind alleys
MANCHESTER UNITED secured a hard-fought three points against Fulham.
Lisandro Martinez’s deflected strike proved to be the difference in what was the Red Devils’ only shot on target all game.
Harry Maguire impressed but Alejandro Garnacho once again failed to impress in what could have been his Man Utd farewell amid rumours linking him with Napoli and Chelsea.
Here is how SunSport rated the individual performances.
Andre Onana – 7
Good save low down to his left to keep out an Alex Iwobi shot early doors.
Other than that he was barely tested but no glaring errors mean it is a step in the right direction for the Red Devils No1.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Had a difficult time in the first half up against Iwobi who was Fulham‘s main attacking threat.
Switched to the left flank in the second half and supported Garnacho without posing much of a threat.
Matthijs de Ligt – 8
Another strong showing at the back from the Dutchman. Without his support for Dalot, Fulham may have created a goal down United’s right-hand side.
Harry Maguire – 9
A superb defensive display from the England star who has been one of United’s best players since Amorim took charge.
Pulled off a brilliant header at the back post to deny Rodrigo Muniz a certain goal.
Lisandro Martinez – 8
Superb last-ditch tackle to prevent Emile Smith Rowe from shooting as he burst through on goal.
His goal had a big slice of luck as it was deflected past Bernd Leno but credit to him for having the audacity to shoot.
Noussair Mazraoui – 7
Solid at the back and tried to get forward when he could. United looked more balance with him on the left and Dalot on the right, although the pair swapped at half-time.
Manuel Ugarte – 6
Showed some nice touches and was a bit of a menace in the middle – in a positive and negative sense. Kept a close eye on Smith Rowe and allowed him no time on the ball.
Booked for a foul on Adama Traore and was taken off shortly afterwards with an injury.
Bruno Fernandes – 5
Not at his best. Barely saw the ball in the first half and was not very effective when he did get it.
Amad Diallo – 6
Looked bright on the ball and United’s only real outlet going forward.
He worked tirelessly and pressed really well – his hard work paid off when he found the back of the net in stoppage time but his effort was chalked off.
Alejandro Garnacho – 3
Was cautious on the ball and ran into blind alleys too often. Final ball let him down on the rare occasion he did manage to beat a defender.
Rasmus Hojlund – 4
His hold up play is nowhere near good enough for this system or for a club like United.
He was too gung-ho at times and his erratic nature meant linking up with Amad and Garnacho proved difficult.
Hauled off before the hour mark which says it all about his performance.
Subs:
Leny Yoro (for De Ligt, 58mins) – 6
A more assured display given his shaky start to life in the Premier League.
Joshua Zirkzee (for Hojlund, 58mins) – 5
Like Hojlund he had a difficult time holding the ball up but United improved with him on the pitch.
Toby Collyer (for Ugarte, 76mins ) – 6
Solid display again from the youngster who was often in the right position to clear, including one on the line to stop a Joachim Andersen header from going in.
Kobbie Mainoo (for Garnacho, 80mins) – 6
Provided energy in midfield and shored things up alongside Collyer.
A brilliant one-two with Amad set up the winger to score before VAR ruled Amad offside.
Tyrell Malacia (for Mazraoui, 80mins) – 6
Brought on in an unfamiliar right wing-back role but did what was needed to see out the clean sheet.
United are hoping Antony can rediscover to form which made him one of Europe’s most exciting wingers at Ajax.
Since joining almost three years ago, the Brazilian has made 96 appearances but only contributed 12 goals and five assists.
Antony has picked up 14 yellow cards during this time – more than the amount of goals he scored.
Patrick Kielty’s wife Cat Deeley wows in trendy two-piece Zara suit on This Morning as blazer’s bargain price slashed
PATRICK Kielty’s wife Cat Deeley stunned on air in an affordably priced blazer from Zara.
The Birmingham beauty was back on This Morning alongside her usual co-host Ben Shephard for another jam-packed episode.
Cat Deeley stunned on air in an affordably priced blazer from Zara[/caption] Cat paired the suit with a pair of chic heels from Dune[/caption]Cat, who is renowned for her trendy sense of style, both on and off screen, looked incredible on today’s show.
The 47-year-old took to Instagram before the show to share some snaps of herself posing backstage at the ITV studio in London.
The popular presenter sported an elegant mocha coloured suit from popular high street brand Zara.
The chic suit was comprised of a beautiful over sized blazer with a notched lapel collar and two front flap pockets.
To style it her way, Cat rolled up the sleeves of the blazer and wore a white t-shirt underneath.
The blazer is also brilliant value on Zara’s website as it has been reduced down to just €19.99, marked down from its original price of €69.95.
She paired the blazer with similarly styled wide-legged oversized trousers; they are currently sold out on Zara’s website.
To round off her stylish on-air look, Cat donned a pair of pointed-toe heels from Dune.
The gorgeous heels just barely peeked out from under her oversized pants adding some shape to the overall look.
Cat’s husband, Patrick Kielty is the host of RTE’s hit Friday night chat show, The Late Late Show.
And last week viewers were hailing one of his interviewees on the show after the pair had an “inspiring” chat.
Garron Noone appeared on the Late Late Show for the Country Music Special last year where he surprised viewers with his outstanding rendition of a Kieth Whitley song.
But this time around he made an appearance to open up about his rise to fame over the number of years on TikTok.
INSPIRING
The musician went on to speak about some of the challenges he faced in his younger years.
Garron explained: “I used to suffer from agoraphobia. I started having panic attacks when I was about sixteen.
“One of my friends had died and that sort of started them. They got worse over time, over a few years and eventually, it got to the point where I couldn’t leave the house without having a panic attack.
“I spent about five years completely house bound, having panic attacks every day, couldn’t go to the shops.
“I worked in a phone shop, I could go there, I’d have panic attacks at work but I didn’t do anything else. No social life, no nothing, pretty much just stayed to myself.
“And I put it out there on New Year’s Eve that I felt at that time for many, many years – I felt that my life would never go anywhere, I was never going to have a life that was going to be worth living, I felt really hopeless.
“Out of nowhere, by keeping with it, life has given me so much and I’m doing things now that I never thought I’d be able to do, like you know, being on telly – that would be one of them.”
When I proposed to my wife, I didn’t expect to be married to her parents too
DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I proposed to my new wife, I didn’t expect to end up married to her parents too.
But nine months into our marriage, it feels like there are four people in our relationship – me, her and her mum and dad.
I’m 30 and my wife is 28.
I knew she was close to her parents when we got together. But they have far too much control over our lives.
She insists on spending every weekend with them and speaks to them on the phone every evening, sometimes several times.
They pop round unannounced – which she doesn’t seem to mind.
She also takes their advice on everything from where we go on holiday to what curtains we should get.
I’m so fed up with it that it’s causing arguments, and negatively affecting our marriage.
Yet when I try to talk to her about it, she can’t see the problem.
I love her but I don’t want to live in her parents’ shadows for the rest of my life. What can I do?
MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE
DEIDRE SAYS: It’s important to iron out this problem now, because one thing is certain, if you have children, it will become more challenging.
Sit down calmly with your wife and explain to her that while you like her parents, you’re now a team of two.
Suggest that you need to establish boundaries with her parents. For example, that you see them every other weekend, and they don’t come round unless it’s pre-arranged.

Love Island couple on the rocks AGAIN as they clash before stunning bombshell arrives
THE Love Island All Stars gang are heading for a bumpy ride with the arrival of two new bombshells.
But cracks have already appeared for one couple AGAIN.
Ekin-Su and Curtis have come to blows again in the villa[/caption] Their dispute was interrupted by a shock text[/caption] The couple quickly learn the news of the two new bombshells[/caption]Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard have come to blows even before Sammy Root and Danielle Sellers make their comeback during a debate on a day bed.
In a first look video at tonight’s episode of the ITV2 reality show, Ekin can be seen complaining to Curtis for talking over her.
She tells him: “Every time I want to say something about how I feel, you have something to say which then… the conversation I want to say gets taken somewhere else.”
Curtis replies: “That’s rubbish. You say how you feel all the time. I can probably count 15 times in the past three days.”
Ekin tells him: “No correct. But if there’s something in particular I want to say…”
The pair are then suddenly interrupted by the noise of a text.
Ekin jumps, sits up straight and puts her hands over her mouth, repeatedly saying, “Oh no, oh no”.
The sneak peek video then cuts to newcomers Sammy and Danielle strolling into the villa.
Fans have been quick to share their thoughts on Ekin’s gripe with Curtis, with some accusing her of ‘backing off’ following Tuesday night’s public vote.
Viewers had been asked to pick their favourite islanders and Luca Bish was revealed as the most popular boy, with Elma Pazar voted as the most popular girl.
Commenting on the official Love Island Instagram page, one fan said: “Was Ekin wanting Curtis to be the favourite boy? She now seems to be shaking the pot.”
Another added: “Ekin finding a problem with Curtis now he wasn’t the favourite boy.”
And a third agreed: “Basically Ekin is ready to ditch Curtis as he wasn’t a favourite….”
Sammy, who won the 2023 series with his ex Jess Harding, and 2017 alumni Danielle will be seen making their big Love Island All Stars entrance on Wednesday evening in a shock twist.
In a show first, the pair will head straight to the Hideaway Retreat before each picking an islander to join them in there for the entire night.
Former Page 3 girl Danielle has admitted she has her eye on both Curtis and Scott Thomas, meaning she’s likely to ruffle either Ekin-Su or Tina Stinnes’ feathers.

How do I support my terminally ill daughter when she’s pushing everyone away?
DEAR DEIDRE: THE news that my daughter is dying of cancer has broken my heart.
I want to be there to support her but she’s pushing everyone away.
I’m 60 and my daughter is 35. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer five years ago.
At first, we thought the surgery and chemotherapy had been successful. But a few months ago, tests showed her treatments weren’t working and it had spread to her lungs, liver and brain.
She’s been told there’s nothing more they can offer her apart from palliative care.
I am devastated but trying not to show her, as I don’t want to upset her more.
She’s been very brave up until now, but she has withdrawn and says she doesn’t want to see anyone – even close friends and family.
The treatments have been hard on her physically, and she’s lost all her confidence.
To me, she is still my beautiful daughter. I don’t care if she’s put on weight, or if her hair hasn’t grown back.
I just want to hug her and look after her. But I also don’t want to go against her wishes.
I’ve bought her some gifts – a cuddly toy and her favourite film, Notting Hill, on DVD, and would like to take them to her for comfort.
She lives 75 miles away, so I can’t just pop in.
Should I just send them by post instead?
MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE
DEIDRE SAYS: This is a terribly sad situation. Facing the prospect of the loss of your child must be unbearable, and of course you want to support her.
But if she has asked not to be disturbed, it’s best to respect her wishes. She’s probably still reeling from the prognosis.
Send the gifts with a note, saying you love her and are there for her whenever she’s ready. I’m sure she will ask for you soon.
In the meantime, you need help too. See my support pack on and contact Macmillan Cancer Support (macmillan.org.uk).
