Playing a rambler, he compliments Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) on her Yorkshire tea after ordering it.

Hoyle said: “Incredibly, Emmerdale has been on our screens for more than half a century – shining a light on the lived experience of others; entertaining viewers with its hard-hitting storylines, while also making a major economic contribution to the North.

“It has been an honour to help the cast celebrate the 10,000th episode of this enduring Yorkshire-based soap, with a visit to the Woolpack.

“As a Lancastrian, I am hugely impressed by the talent and warmth of our friends on ‘the other side’ of the Pennines.”

He visited the soap for its 10,000th episode in May 2024, but producers could not use his footage because of restrictions before the July election.

Since Emmerdale first broadcast on October 16 1972, there have been more than 150 deaths and 100 weddings.

Lindsay Hoyle, was elected Speaker on 4 November 2019, following the retirement of John Bercow.

He is also an MP for Chorley and has received a knighthood.

Scott Thomas’ furious brother Ryan in massive u-turn as he slams Love Island’s Luca in online rant

SCOTT Thomas’ furious brother Ryan has made a massive u-turn about his stance on someone in the villa.

The hunk’s brothers are famous soap actors Ryan Thomas and his twin Adam Thomas – and they both love to share their reactions online of Scott’s Love Island stint.

Ryan, who starred in Coronation Street as Jason Grimshaw, is the eldest of the brothers at 40 years old.

While Love Island hunk Scott and Adam, who starred in Emmerdale as Adam Barton, are twins who are both 36 years old.

But it is Ryan who has made a u-turn on his opinion on someone in the villa – Luca Bish.

Just mere days ago we reported that Ryan shared how Luca was his “favourite” Love Island: All Stars contestant when he seemingly snubbed his brother.

Now, after a huge erupted between Scott and Luca, Ryan has branded him “snakey” in a scathing rant shared on Instagram.

“I’m sorry Luca,” Ryan could be heard saying as he sat on the sofa watching Love Island on Sunday night.

“That’s a snakey move, that. That is a snakey move to do that publicly. I am so upset with him,” he fumed.

In the next slide, Ryan said: “This is horrible, you know.”

He then later added: “I’ll be honest, wasn’t very fair that from Luca.

PUBLIC SPAT

“To do it publicly around a table like that, in front of all them people.”

Ryan then said: “Scott’s right, you know. I don’t think there’s any coming back from that.”

“I mean, it is ironic,” Ryan added, “On Friday night I’m going ‘come on, we need some drama’ and our Scott is in the middle of an absolute s***storm.”

This comes after tensions rose during a game of truth or dare when Scott said he’s had a truth he would ask Grace, but wouldn’t.

Luca instantly became annoyed and said: “Say it. If you want to go there, go there?”.

Love Island All Stars 2025 official line-up

Love Island All Stars is back on TV for season 2.

Here we take you through the line-up of all the Islanders who are in the villa so far.

Bombshells

Each series brings with it a string of hot single bombshells making their epic entrance into the villa.

Here’s who has joined the villa so far:

ROW ESCALATED

Scott insisted:Bro I’m being respectful to you.”

But the row escalated further and the other Islanders were forced to step in.

The group tried to continue playing after the first row, but things take a turn for the worst when Luca was dared to kiss who is in here for fame.

He kissed Scott on the cheek and said he thinks he wants to get far in the villa, adding “that’s why you’re with Tina and you’re not feeling it now”.

CONFIDING IN EACH OTHER

The row came after Scott confided in the boys about how he was really feeling about Tina – who he is coupled up with.

He said: “I dunno where I am… something’s stressing me out a little bit… when she’s in the garden I’m not wanting to rush over… this girl is so good for me and the fact I’m not buzzing p****s me off.”

Luca then said: “You can’t help how you feel, definitely keep that to yourself though.”

Scott agreed: “We’ll make a pact – don’t say anything to our girls cause if that gets back to Tina it needs to come from me.”

She posted: “One of my favourite things is seeing the light on the horizon just before sunrise.

“Nature has a way of grounding you — reminding you to breathe deeply and stay in the present.”

Sunset Boulevard charts the tale of silent film star Norma, who enlists the help of an aspiring screenwriter to revive her Hollywood career.

Soon, the characters begin to discover feelings for each other.

Andrew Lloyd Webber revived the show in the West End last year, casting Nicole and Tom, who have already won Oliviers for their performances.

Now, the Broadway version is creating a real buzz as one of the ‘hottest tickets in New York’.

American Nicole won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical and earned $1million in sales in the first week of October.

Violent drug dealer dodged deportation because his daughter might be transgender

A VIOLENT drug dealer dodged deportation as his daughter thought she might be transgender.

The 48-year-old Jamaican was allowed to stay under European human rights laws, despite being jailed multiple times.

The dad of three, granted anonymity by the courts, was convicted of dealing crack and heroin and also attacked his partner in front of his kids.

He was jailed for three-and-a-half years in 2021 — his fifth spell in prison since arriving in the UK in 1991.

Known only as “GH”, he appealed against a Home Office deportation order after his release.

His lawyers argued one of his children “became withdrawn” when he was in jail and “continued to struggle even after his release”.

They added: “The same child was experiencing issues with her gender identity, which she had only been able to discuss with her father.”

Judge CL Taylor controversially ruled GH should remain.

She said his right for a family life outweighed public interest under the European Convention on Human Rights.

The Home Office then unsuccessfully appealed against the decision at a hearing in London.

Reform MP Rupert Lowe blasted last night: “If you come to our country and commit serious crime, you should be deported.

“We do not care about the criminal’s right to a family life.”

Former Tory minister Sir Alec Shelbrooke added: “I am stunned by how poor a decision this is.

“We have to disentangle British law from the ECHR to stop decisions like these from being made.”

Majority of people think those who blare music from phones are rude – but we’re too scared say anything, survey shows

MOST of us think people who play loud music on their phones are rude — but we are too scared to tell them, a survey shows.

Eight in 10 hate it when others blare out videos and tunes on transport or in public spaces.

Most of us think people who play loud music on their phones are rude — but we are too scared to tell them, a survey shows[/caption]

And more than half of those surveyed said they witnessed it at least once a month, the poll revealed.

Four in ten believe the habit is on the rise — but six in ten say they would not ask the culprits to wear headphones out of fear of being ignored, shouted at or intimidated.

Among women, seven out of ten said they stayed silent worried about what would happen, the poll for survey specialist JL Partners found.

The company’s director, James Johnson, said the behaviour “has become a familiar nuisance for those of us who regularly travel on public transport”.

He went on: “But while most of us clearly think this behaviour is unreasonable or rude, we are unwilling to intervene as we are fearful of what may happen.”

TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp has described the noise nuisance rise as part of a wider “epidemic of selfish and rude behaviour”.

And Labour MP David Taylor told The Sun: “It is very concerning we are seeing this become more common.

“The public hate it.

“I will continue to ask ministers to look at possible ways to tackle noise nuisance, which may be especially harmful to some disabled people.”

Six Israeli hostages to be released this week by Hamas terrorists in ceasefire deal after kidnap hell in Gaza

TERROR group Hamas are set to release six more hostages this week, according to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Three young Israelis, including Arbel Yehud, will be rescued on Friday before another trio are freed on Saturday – finally ending their 15-month nightmare in Gaza.

Arbel’s freedom will come as a relief to the watching world after she has been at the centre of a heated row for days.

Israel delayed the return of Gazans to northern Gaza in the past 24 hours as they claimed Hamas breached the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas didn’t release Arbel during either of the first two batches of hostages despite the evil Iranian-proxy promising to free Israeli civilians first.

On Saturday, Karina Ariev, 20, Daniela Gilboa, 20, Naama Levy, 20, and Liri Elbag, 19, were all handed over to the Red Cross by balaclava-wearing Hamas thugs.

The women were all captured soldiers rather than innocent civilians caught in the horror October 7 massacre.

A week earlier, Brit Emily Damari and fellow Israeli captives Romi Gonen, 24, and Doron Steinbrecher, 31 were also freed.

Since the ceasefire deal came into force, more than 200 prisoners have also been released by Israel.

Peter Crouch reveals what TV show Jurgen Klopp watches to cheer himself up

JURGEN Klopp and his wife watch a TV prank involving Peter Crouch and model Abbey Clancy if they need cheering up.

The ex-Liverpool football manager revealed the Saturday Night Takeaway stunt has Ulla and him in fits of laughter.

Ex-player Peter told the Therapy Crouch podcast: “I interviewed Jurgen Klopp and he said ‘Honestly, sometimes when we’re feeling down, we just put it on’.”

Crouchie added: “That makes me feel so good.”

For the stunt, Crouch and wife Abbey were told show hosts Ant and Dec would feed them comments through earpieces to give to party planners — filmed by spy cameras.

Peter is first told that whenever the planner says the word “party” he has to shout it back out, sounding over-excited.

He also had to burst out from behind a door shouting “Boo”, then ask to play hide and seek.

Abbey had to make a phone call using his foot.

The model also reads out her list of unacceptable words for the party including “fart”, “toilet”, “sun of a biscuit”, “Michael Buerk”, “Ging gang goolies” and “Jog on you chicken nugget”.

Eventually lanky Peter and Abbey get a delivery of a framed photo of themselves – but where his head’s been cut off – so he stands behind the picture and asks the planner to take a phone snap which they can use to include his face.
