Incredible footage of Riyad Mahrez’s unbelievable first touch and goal for Al-Ahli emerges sending fans into meltdown
SILKY Riyad Mahrez is still able to send social media into meltdown despite now playing in Saudi Arabia.
Mahrez, 33, showed he still oozes class as he scored a magnificent goal to put the cherry on top of a 5-0 win for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.
Riyad Mahrez put the cherry on top of a 5-0 win for Ah-Ahli[/caption] Mahrez raced on to a long ball upfield[/caption] His first touch then took his beyond the defender before he scored past the goalkeeper[/caption]The former Leicester and Manchester City trickster starred as his team thrashed Al-Riyadh by scoring five goals from five shots on target.
Ex-Brentford ace Ivan Toney opened the scoring in the fourth minute assisted by Mahrez.
The lead would then not be added to until the 60th minute when Ziyad Aljohani netted.
Former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino then got himself in on the act in the 63rd minute before Toney scored his second from the penalty spot nine minutes later.
But Mahrez’s goal in the 88th minute was arguably the pick of the bunch.
After claiming a cross from a corner, ex-Chelsea star Edouard Mendy fired the ball up-field where he had spotted Mahrez making a run.
As the ball came down to land, Mahrez managed to capture its flight perfectly before producing a deft first touch which left a defender scrambling to recover.
In clinical fashion, Mahrez then whipped a shot into the top right corner of the goal.

Davy Burke insists ‘there was no panic’ despite Roscommon’s ‘chaotic’ and ‘mental’ win over Down in Division 2 clash
DAVY BURKE described his Roscommon side’s victory against Down as ‘chaotic’ and ‘mental’.
The Rossies recovered from seven down early in the second half to prevail at Dr Hyde Park.
Burke’s boys scored two goals and missed a penalty in the opening half as wind-assisted Down surged into the lead.
But the hosts bounced back, aided by Ciaráin Murtagh’s rocket.
Burke said: “It was chaotic, it’s mental. We could’ve been five up or five down at half-time. There was no big panic.
“We had the likes of Ciaráin Murtagh, Ben O’Carroll, Donie Smith and Senan Lambe to bring on. We felt they could get us over the line and they did.”
The Rossies had a dream start when Enda Smith netted but he later missed from the spot. And Down nailed six two-pointers — four from Pat Havern — to lead 1-14 to 2-6 at the break.
The big moment came on 58 minutes. Rossies debutant Colm Neary made a block and fed Cian McKeon, who teed up Murtagh to kick to an empty net from 40 yards.
