Dancing On Ice’s Brendyn Hatfield’s heartbreaking post as he crashes out of show with Ferne McCann and will NEVER return
DANCING On Ice star Brendyn Hatfield shared a heartbreaking post as he crashed out of the show with Ferne McCann.
Pro skater Brendyn, 38, who announced he is leaving for good in October, uploaded a photo of the empty studio to his Instagram Stories, marking the end of his show journey.
Dancing On Ice star Brendyn Hatfield shared a heartbreaking post as he crashed out of the show with Ferne McCann[/caption]Brendyn and Towie star Ferne, 33, were sent home during Movie Week after receiving the lowest scores from the judges.
Overcome with emotion, Ferne broke down as the result was announced.
Fighting back tears, she said: “I’m so gutted, but it is what it is.”
“It’s been amazing. Thank you so so much. It’s just been brilliant. So fantastic.”
Her pro Brendyn said: “We’ve had just the best time skating together and learning and growing, and she had so much more in her.”
Ferne performed a Trolls-themed skate to September by Earth, Wind And Fire, which features in the animated movie.
Fans rushed to comment on the surprising result, with one person commenting:
“Ferne going is OUTRAGEOUS.”
A second commented: “The no skate off makes it so abrupt & just feels a bit disrespectful to the contestants. It’s basically you’re out come here and have an immediate interview & you’re surprised they’re upset?!”
While a third added: “What the actual f**k.. Ferne deserved to be in that final. This is why this show is s**t because all the good ones go home..”
And a four raged: “Another horrible result! They really need to bring back the skate off ASAP if it’s actually coming back at all. Ferne was average, but compared to Steve she looked like a professional ice skater!”
The exit came after comedian Josh Jones was forced him to withdraw from the competition due to a “twisted ankle”.
The 32-year-old did return to the show, but not the competition, telling presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern: “So we were skating, and I went over on my ankle (during rehearsals)… and I kind of twisted my ankle.
“And I’ve got a cold sore as well, so I’ve got a lump on my leg and my ankle.”
The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Edgar went with a James Bond theme on Sunday’s show, scoring 31 points as he opened the competition, but was quickly surpassed.
Coronation Street star Sam Aston earned 32.5 points, and was told by Ashley Banjo after initially being “hesitant”, he did some “serious skating” to Robbie Williams and Olly Murs’s rendition of I Wanna Be Like You, from Disney movie The Jungle Book.
Michaela Strachan performed as Maria from The Sound Of Music, with a Connie Fisher version of the song, and earned the joint highest score so far with Aston.
Coming last with the judges was Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave, with 20 points on the leaderboard.
Judge and former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse said Sir Steve “told the story really well”, but urged him to showcase “more skill” in future.
Footballer-turned-pundit Anton Ferdinand took on the comic book character Wolverine after the blockbuster Wolverine And Deadpool used Madonna’s Like A Prayer last year in the movie, and earned 30 points.
On the same level, was The Traitors star Mollie Pearce, who did an enchanting routine to Disney’s Beauty And The Beast song of the same name.
Fans felt she was undermarked for her performance and felt others had been favoured.
EastEnders star Charlie Brooks earned 27 points, with Oti saying the performance to Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers – which was used in the pottery scene from the 1990s romance movie Ghost – was the “most beautiful we’ve seen yet”.
But the judge added that her “nerves get the better of you”.
Last year, Dancing On Ice fans were left shocked after Brendyn revealed he was quitting the show.
In a statement on social media, he said: “Here we go! Excited to be back for my 6th and final season of Dancing On Ice.
“Let’s make this one the best one!”
Brendyn is in a relationship with S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens after the pair met when they were partnered for the 2022 series.
Last year, he competed with comedian Lou Sanders.

Judd Trump calls for changes to £550,000 snooker tournament as he hails event as one of top three in the calendar
JUDD TRUMP reckons one tournament on the snooker calendar doesn’t get the love it deserves.
World number one Trump has rated the German Masters as one of the top three events of the season and wants more to be made of the tournament he has won three times.
Judd Trump has called for more to be made of the German Masters[/caption]Trump, 35, reckons the crowd at the Berlin Tempodrom is up there with the Crucible and Alexandra Palace.
He told Metro: “Berlin is probably third place in terms of the crowd interaction and how good the crowds are, especially when you get to that final weekend and how passionate they are.
“The crowds in Berlin and the noise when you come into the final is very close to, or on a par with, the Masters.
“I think those two are out there on their own in terms of how good you feel when you play on the final weekend.”
However Trump, who won the German Masters in 2020, 2021 and 2024, reckons that more could be made of the tournament.
Claiming that the total prize pot of £550,000, of which £100,000 goes to the winner, doesn’t reflect the prominence that the event deserves in the calendar.
He added: “I’d like to have seen it grow somehow, I think the tournament deserves to be bigger than it is.
“I don’t think it should be on a par [in terms of prize money] with some of the other events like the Home Nations, although Northern Ireland is the exception.

“I think Germany should be up there, just behind the UK [Championship], but it’s not really gone anywhere, it’s stagnated a little bit.
“There should be a few changes to make a bit bigger than it is because the crowd over there deserve it.
“It’s a little bit disappointing because I feel like they could even hold the Tour Championship or something over there.
“The crowd deserve something bigger. Its excellent to have a tournament there, but the fans deserve a bigger, more prestigious event.”
The German Masters gets underway today and runs until February 2, with Trump beginning his efforts in a clash against David Grace.

Sebastian Cancelliere brace of tries leaves Connacht in perilous position in URC following defeat to Glasgow Warriors
SEBASTIAN CANCELLIERE scored two tries to break Connacht hearts at Scotstoun.
The Argentina winger crossed either side of half-time as high-flying Glasgow held on for a three-point victory, which leaves Connacht third from bottom of the URC table, with seven defeats from ten outings.
Duncan Weir was captaining Glasgow for the first time, in his 158th appearance for the club, and the fly-half opened the scoring with a penalty.
But David Hawkshaw scored the first of his two tries for Peter Wilkins’ visitors in the 18th minute.
The former Leinster centre crossed over after charging down a kick from Ollie Smith.
The hosts responded quickly, working the ball to Cancelliere to score.
Man of the match Ben Afshar got Glasgow’s second try before the interval, with Weir’s two conversions helping Glasgow into a 12-point lead.
Hawkshaw finished off a brilliant move within 60 seconds of the restart and JJ Hanrahan converted.
But Cancelliere got over to make it 22-12 before the hour-mark.
Piers O’Conor set up a thrilling finish when he went over with two minutes left and Hanrahan moved Connacht within three points but Glasgow saw out the game.
SCORERS — Glasgow Warriors: Tries, Cancelliere 2, Afshar, cons, Weir 2, pen, Weir. Connacht: Tries, Hawkshaw 2, O’Conor, cons, Hanrahan 2.
I’m trolled for letting my daughter get pregnant at 14 – I’ll be a gran at 38, it was a shock but we’ll support them
A MUM has found herself trolled after her daughter announced her pregnancy aged 14.
Falen Vaughn, 38, is set to welcome two grandchildren in the coming months, with both of her daughters now expecting.
But it was teenager Bella’s news that led to Falen – who lives in Van Buren, Arizona – facing some backlash on social media.
“We were not expecting her to be pregnant, especially at 14,” she sighed.
“And we’ve got a lot of hate and backlash about being supportive.”
Meanwhile, the negative remarks Bella received has even led to her deleting her TikTok account – a decision she remains confident in.
“We’ve had a lot of backlash about it,” she said.
“I have got a lot of hate on TikTok for it, but I deleted it because I don’t really care.”
It was during a trip with her boyfriend’s family that Bella began feeling persistently sick, initially attributing it to her period.
But when her period didn’t arrive, and the symptoms continued, she decided to take a pregnancy test.
When she told her boyfriend the news, she said he thought it was a prank at first.
But when he realised it wasn’t, Bella said he was immediately supportive, and has been ever since.
His family were also shocked by the pregnancy news, but have since come around.
“Because of the circumstances that I got pregnant with, there’s been a lot of crazy rumours,” Bella admitted.
“Some of his family wasn’t very happy and then my family wasn’t.
“But now my boyfriend’s mum is super excited.
“He said he would be supportive, and he has been this entire time.”
Bella and Falen are both preparing for a baby shower coming up in the near future, and revealed she’s expecting a boy in March 2025.
Which areas of the UK have the highest rate of teen pregnancies?
- Middlesbrough (43.8)
- St Helens (37.1)
- Halton (34.9)
- Hartlepool (33.2)
- North East Lincolnshire (33.2)
- Blackpool (32.9)
- Hyndburn (32.8)
- Kingston upon Hull (32.7)
- Norwich (31.3)
- Salford (30.7)

To make matters more interesting for the family, Bella’s 19-year-old sister is also pregnant and expecting to give birth in May.
“So, on a better note, she will be having a baby shower in a couple of months,” Falen smiled.
“My 19-year-old daughter is due in May, they’re pretty close anyway so I’m hoping that the babies will be close too.”
Bella has even had to delete her TikTok account due to the comments she was receiving about the pregnancy[/caption]Fans spot Barcelona star’s stunned reaction to Lamine Yamal’s ‘downright unfair’ skill against Valencia
FANS were left in awe by Lamine Yamal as he nutmegged a Valencia defender with an audacious piece of skill.
The Barcelona winger helped his side to an incredible 7-1 win to maintain pressure on league leaders Real Madrid.
https://twitter.com/MichaelEmilio_/status/1883620455954940141Yamal, 17, produced an assist in the match along with the most eye-catching moment.
The winger attacked the box down the right flank but came up against two Valencia defenders.
So he stepped over the ball and dummied to cut back, only to flick the ball through the defender’s legs before bursting into the box.
As soon as he pulled off the skill his team-mate Fermín López put his hands to the back of his head in shock.
Fans found the reaction amusing with many left in awe at the nutmeg, which Barcelona’s social media team called “downright unfair”.
One reacted saying: “Fermin is Lamine biggest fan lol.”
Another added: “Fermind is all of us ”
A third wrote: “A lot of kids are going to fall in love with football because of Lamine Yamal.

And another commented: “What a baller.”
Yamal has been in fine form for Barcelona this season with nine goals and 12 assists in all competitions, and found the net in Barca’s 5-2 Supercopa win over Real Madrid earlier this month.
