Champions League draw simulated in FULL as Arsenal and Liverpool find out when they’ll meet and City learn horror tie
THE new-look Champions League group stage has finally been completed, with 24 teams now preparing to learn their fate in the competition.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Barcelona were among the clubs to earn automatic qualification to the last-16, while the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain will have to progress through a play-off.
The Premier League champions face arguably the hardest pick of the bunch as they will be drawn against either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid for the grudge match.
Meanwhile, we could also see a huge all-Serie A clash as well as two Dutch giants going head-to-head.
With the play-off draw not scheduled until tomorrow, SunSport has completed a simulation to see which path each team could potentially face.
Each play-off club is in a position to face one of two possible opponents, giving them a 50/50 chance – for example, Man City have a 50 per cent chance of facing Bayern Munich and a 50 per cent chance of facing Real Madrid.
This week’s draw will only determine the play-off fixtures, not which side of the bracket each of the 16 teams – not including the eight automatic qualifiers – will be on.
We have selected each team one by one, placing them into brackets for the sake of the overall simulator.
The first of each pairing has been put in the first half of the bracket and the second in the other.
In the simulated play-off draw, Man City have been pitted against Bayern Munich in arguably the pick of the bunch.

The list of fixtures completing the first half of the draw are; Monaco vs Benfica, Brugge vs Borussia Dortmund and the all-Italian clash between Juventus and AC Milan.
In the second half of the simulated draw, Dutch sides Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven have been put against each other.
That side is completed with Brest vs PSG, Sporting Lisbon vs Atalanta and Celtic vs Real Madrid.
The round-of-16, quarter-final and semi-final draws will take place on February 21, so we will not officially know which side of the bracket each of the play-off winners will be on until then.
However, SunSport’s simulated draw sees Monaco/Benfica facing Barcelona, Brugge/Dortmund against Aston Villa, Man City/Bayern vs Atletico and Juventus/AC Milan vs Arsenal on one side.
That means fixtures between Breast/PSG and Liverpool, Sporting/Atalanta and Lille, Celtic/Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen as well as Feyenoord/PSV vs Inter Milan will be on the other.

‘Do not open door’ garda warning over ‘tarmac scam’ involving people dressing up to target elderly & vulnerable people
GARDAI have issued a stark warning over a man or men “claiming to be a builder” and turning up at the doors of unsuspecting victims.
Homeowners have been urged to be wary of the “tarmac scam”, which sees men going door-to-door claiming to be a builder and offering cheap work the person who opens the door to their knock.
They are calling to homes and telling residents that they have leftover tarmac and will then offer to carry out work on the driveway or surrounding area at a discount.
Gardai say they are mostly targeting elderly or more vulnerable residents, with most reports occurring in Donegal.
The men will take the money and then fill in any holes in the ground with gravel chippings covered with engine oil, or other materials that won’t last.
Gardai warned: “A man or men typically go door-to-door, claiming to be a builder/s working on a contract who have some leftover tarmac and offering to conduct work on a driveway or surroundings of a building at a low cost.
“The material then used is often gravel chippings covered with engine oil or not the right depth and type of materials to form a lasting road surface.
“These conmen may target elderly, vulnerable residents or businesses and claim to be official contractors working on roadworks to add credibility.”
While doing the work, these men have been reported to increase the cost.
They claim that the job has required more material than initially expected and often move on to issuing threats to the homeowners.
Gardai added: “They often increase the cost during the course of the work claiming that the job has required more material than expected and they may then start issuing threats.
“We received reports of these types of bogus callers in the Glenties area today.
“They were travelling in a white Land Rover Defender although please keep in mind that various vehicles would be in use by them.
“Please be vigilant and inform Gardai immediately should you have callers at your home or business who are offering to lay tarmac.”
Gardai are urging the public to not open the front door to anyone unless you are sure you know them and advised people to never agree to work carried out by callers to the door.
Tips on how to avoid scams
Garda advice on how to avoid vishing, smishing and phishing is as follows:
Vishing – Calls
- Be wary of cold calls received. Ask the caller their name, their phone number and if you are concerned hang up and ring your bank / service provider from a number advertised in a phone book, on your bill or from a Google search.
- Just because the number looks Irish does not mean it is – fraudsters use VOIP and spoofed numbers.
- Never act on advice received or instructions from a cold caller.
- Never give away personal data like bank account details, PIN numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, one time codes, PPS numbers or Eircodes.
- Never download any Apps as these allow the fraudster to take control of your device.
- Be aware that State bodies including the Revenue Commissioners will not ring you to advise that you are under investigation.
- Do not transfer money in any way.
- Before taking any action, seek advice from a trusted person.
Smishing – Texts
- Be wary of such texts even if they are contained within the thread of previous genuine texts from banks.
- Never click on links – by doing so you are accessing cloned websites.
- If you’re expecting a delivery and receive such a text, be very careful.
- Banking institutions will never send a text containing a link.
- An Garda Síochána advise people not to respond to such texts, to take screenshots of the texts received and delete them and to report it to the bank or relevant company and local Garda station.
Phishing – Emails
- Phishing emails can look official – make sure you are certain it’s legitimate before opening an attachment.
- Hover over any hyperlinks so you know where they lead to before you click (or go directly to the source).
- Beware of requests for personal or financial details or requests to reset passwords.
- Delete any suspicious emails, block the sender and don’t forward the email to anyone else.
- Don’t store passwords on your browser. If any of your passwords are compromised, it could lead to a chain of disasters and compromise all your accounts.
- Avoid using personal or untrusted removable devices (such as phones, tablets, iPods, SD Cards) on office systems.
- Beware of generic, impersonal greetings, such as “Dear Friend” or poor spelling and grammar.
- Check the displayed name against the actual email.
- Limit what you share online – cybercriminals use information you post online to learn how to gain your trust.
- Stay updated with security policies and best practices.
A garda spokesperson said: “Do not open your door to anybody unless you are sure who they are. Use a chain lock for extra security.
“DO NOT agree to have work carried out by these types of callers and do not provide them with your personal details.
“Should you come across these callers, please contact us immediately in Letterkenny on 074-9167100, Buncrana on 074-9320540, Milford on 074-9153060 or Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.”
Gardai ask that homeowners take note of their direction of travel, their description and registration numbers.
If any camera footage is captured such as doorbells or dashcams, it is advised to make this available to Gardai.
This Morning viewers furious as couple have sex on ‘female viagra’ in racy TV experiment
FURIOUS This Morning viewers have been left choking on their cups of tea after a couple were sent to a hotel to have sex.
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard chatted to volunteers Ray and Karen about so-called ‘female viagra’ in Thursday’s show before the couple agreed to try it out.
Karen took a supplement live on air before Cat and Ben waved her and her hubby off to do the deed.
Once at the hotel, Ray gave the cameras a thumbs up before Cat told Ben and viewers: “He’s got a twinkle in his eye!”
The This Morning hosts confirmed that Ray and Karen would be returning to the studio at 12.15pm to tell the nation how they got on.
Fans of the ITV1 daytime show, however, were horrified by the scenes.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one said: “What has this show turned into?! Female viagra on morning tv!”
Another added: “Is this how low this show can go? Sending a couple off to a hotel to see if the “female viagra” works? Utterly pathetic.”
A third fumed: “Could they not have got the couple to try the viagra before they appeared on the show?”
And someone else quipped: “Thankfully I’m off to work. I’ll check the hashtag later for the Viagra results from the Travelodge.”
The shock segment on Thursday’s episode of This Morning aired at around 10.15am.
Resident medical expert Dr Zoe said: “Ray and Karen, here are two supplements that some studies support the notion that they can help with libido. One is called maca root, which is a Peruvian root, and the other is fenugreek, which raises testosterone levels.”
Karen was then seen swallowing one of the supplements while swigging out of a mug.
The couple then disappeared off to a nearby London hotel after promising to head back two hours later.
At 11.20am, during a round up of what was still come in the rest of the show, the couple were seen closing their hotel bedroom door behind them.
Ben told viewers they would be back at 12.15pm, saying: “It’s the result we’ve all been waiting for.
“Have Karen and Ray had a successful morning? The claim is increases women’s libido in just 15 minutes.”

A WOMAN who works in a legal brothel has revealed how she knew it was her dream job.
Catherine De Noire regularly shares what it’s like working in the sex industry despite not being a sex worker herself and the behind-the-scenes that goes into running a brothel.
She has revealed the brothel is one of the largest in Europe and recently spoke to News.com.au on how she got into the industry.
Catherine revealed she was studying psychology with plans to become a therapist.
That’s when she discovered neuropsychology, which examines the connection between thoughts and brain structures and what forms them.
“I discovered this field and it was amazing. I always had this passion for research, my father is a researcher. I thought it was my career,” she said.
Catherine stumbled into the industry after coming across a paper from a manager of a brothel. It was called They Call Me A Pimp But I Protect Women. In the paper, the business, the way women are treated and the legalities.
“It basically said how this business is the same as any other business,” she said.
“It got me thinking. I finished the article and I was like, ‘I want to do this. This is my dream job.’”
While she had no experience in sex work or management, she decided to apply for a role as a brothel manager.
Catherine tracked down the company the paper’s author worked for.
“I wrote them an email. I told them I didn’t have any experience. I was 22, had no experience managing people. I didn’t even have my degree,” she said.
“At the time, the company was only hiring managers with psychology qualifications.”
A few days later, human resources called her for an interview. She was eventually offered a job.
“It’s been eight and a half years now,” she recalled.
When Catherine first started she recalled being shocked by what working in a brothel was really like.

“I remember, I was standing in front of the building. I was wondering, would they be like ‘proper pimps’? Would they be wearing fake fur, these kinds of stereotypes,” she said.
“But when I walked in, everything was so normal. There was receptionists, security, HR department, IT department and a marketing department.
“I was like, this is a normal company. The owner is such a sweet guy. If you could see him, you’d say he was very lovely.
“That was the first shock.”
Catherine added it was hard to be seen as a manager because she was just 22. She said some of the women she was working with were older than her, and at times they needed a mother, a friend and a boss.
“It’s very hard to balance this,” she said.

“I make sure I don’t have any screen time an hour before bed and I like to write lists, saying goodbye to the day and getting rid of anything that I would potentially lie in bed and think about,” she said.
When it comes to her attire for between the sheets, Lisa likes wearing “nice nightwear”, but added you can also be “naked if you want to be!”
“If I’m really struggling to nod off, I listen to Deepak Chopra’s guided sleep meditations,” she revealed.
