The restored motor was named after its victory in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally[/caption]

It was named after its victory in the 1970 London to Mexico World Cup Rally.

The vehicle has been in fantastic condition since the late 1990s and boasts correct Black PVC upholstery, with original factory-fitted 140mph speedometer and 8,000rpm rev counter.

And it’s easy on the eye too.

Finished in its original Sunset Red and white, the motor has only had four previous owners.

The car is fitted with a 4-cylinder 1600 GT crossflow engine with the 711M block providing 86bhp.

Adrenaline junkies will be happy to hear that you can clock speeds of 60mph in just under 11 seconds and a top speed of 110mph.

Petrol heads will need to rock up Stoneleigh Park, Coventry on February 22, where the classic motor will be sold off by Iconic Auctioneers.

“The car also retains the original boot mat and incredibly the rear cardboard boot spring protector is present along with black light protectors which remain undamaged,” reads the listing.

“The jack and wheel brace are within the original fawn muslin bag held down by the correct rubber band.

“The model will be presented with an accompanying comprehensive history file that contains two large booklets spanning the entire life of the car from the initial Order Form in 1972 through to the latest service using Ford Motorcraft items in July 2024.

“There are also historic MOT Certificates, the original service book, maintenance invoices and many AVO Club Valuations, including an early one from Mexico Registrar, Andy Percival, for £2,750.

“Also present are many photos of the meticulous restoration carried out in the late 1990s, which is also magazine-featured, and is a testament to how well the car presents today over two decades later.

“This model is fitted with the correct pressed steel wheels with the cooling slots measuring 5.5 x 13in immaculate chrome hubcaps, and a matching set of Goodyear GT Sport 175/70 R13.

“The remote servo-assisted brakes powered by the early Girling Powerstop AHV 550 Mk2A help grip the front discs and the rear drums more than adequately.

“This remarkable Sunset Red Mexico would be an asset to any enthusiast of these era-defining, characterful, sporting Fords.”

Meanwhile,

Racing Legend Michael Schumacher‘s first Ferrari is going on sale on February 4.

His Ferrari F355 GTS retains its original chassis, bodywork, and gearbox.

The Ferrari is fitted with a traditional six-gear manual gearbox, which was a preference made by Schumacher.

This offered a welcome departure from the high-intensity demands of F1, gifting the F355 GTS a personal touch that won’t be found on other models.

And Enzo Ferrari’s personal car also recently went up for auction for a staggering price.

The 1962 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 prototype coupe Pininfarina is thought to be only one of two in existence.

Shane Lowry’s wife Wendy jokes ‘it only took four months’ as she shares adorable pic of daughter ‘warming up to Paddy’

WENDY LOWRY shared a cute photo of her and Shane’s daughter “warming up to Paddy” – joking that it “only took four months”.

The Lowry household welcomed their pet dog in October of last year and gave the animal the classic Irish name.

Wendy shared a cut pic of their daughter Ivy after warming up to the dog

While it is not known just how friendly their eldest daughter Iris is with Paddy, Wendy revealed just how long it took for youngest Ivy to get acquainted.

Alongside a photo of the four-year-old walking side-by-side with the pooch, she joked: “Just took 4 months for Ivy to warm to Paddy”.

Indeed, it took some time for Ivy’s golf star dad to come around to the idea of getting the dog in the first place.

When Wendy revealed that they had got him last October, she declared: “Welcome home Paddy ….. Shane finally caved” alongside a photo of the pooch.

And a matter of days later, the Offaly man was bonded to the animal, sharing a photo of the two together with a Step Brothers-inspired caption.l

He quipped: “Did we just become best friends? Meet Paddy.

Paddy has since become a popular fixture of the Lowry household, so much so that fans are instantly taken aback when he is not part of their social media activity.

Last December, the family went on a sunny winter holiday to the Bahamas without taking their dog with them.

In pics from the holiday, the family is taking in all of the amenities at the Atlantis Resort, including a swimming pool and mini golf.

However, some in the comments noted the absence of their pet dog Paddy, with one saying: “Where’s Paddy ??”

By and large, however, fans flocked to comment lovingly about the holiday, with one saying: “Great photos!” and another saying: “Fabulous”.

Shane Lowry got his 2025 season underway at the Farmers Insurance Open last week.

However, it did not go according to plan for the 37-year-old as he missed the cut at Torrey Pines.

It comes after his most successful season on the PGA Tour to-date in 2024.

The Irishman finished 9th on the FedEx Cup ladder.

The 2019 Open champion netted €8.73 million between both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour.

He went on to have 7 top 10s on the PGA Tour, and equalled all-time major low-round at the USPGA Championship at Valhalla.

The Clara ace also secured a win alongside Rory McIlroy at the Zurich Classic in April – the only team tournament on the tour’s rota.

He only missed the cut on twice on the American based tour during the 2024 season.

The 37-year-old was in contention for three of the four major heading into the final round this season.

The world number 28 had two third-placed finishes and finished between fourth and 10th on five occasions, underlining his remarkable consistency.

He also represented Ireland in the 2024 Olympic Games prior to being flag bearer for his country in the French capital.

Huttle, from Hobart, around 40 miles south east of Chicago, had been freed for his role in the 2021 Capitol riot just days earlier.

He was shot dead by a Jasper County sheriff’s deputy when he was pulled over on the Indiana State Road 14.

Police said they were attempting to arrest Huttle before an “altercation” led to the fatal shot.

“An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect,” cops said.

Huttle had been in possession of a gun at the time of his stop, but no other information about the fatal incident has been released.

Police have also not revealed why Huttle was initially stopped.

“Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased as any loss of life is traumatic to those that were close to Mr. Huttle,” Sheriff Patrick Williamson said.

Huttle ended up in with a six month jail conviction in 2023 due to his involvement in January 6.

He was handed a misdemeanor charge after he pleaded guilty to entering a restricted building and was released from jail in July 2024.

Huttle had traveled to Washington D.C. with his uncle to attend a the 2021 pro-Trump rally.

The now 42-year-old recorded the 16 minutes he spent inside the Capitol building on that day.

He was one of 1,500 people pardoned by Trump for their involvement on January 6.

The president signed the mass executive order just hours after his second inauguration last week.
