Beatrice and Edoardo first met in September 2018, a short time after Beatrice’s sister Eugenie tied the knot with her husband.
The princess had previously been dating Dave Clark, who worked at Uber, but split from him in 2016.
A friend close to Beatrice and Edoardo told The Sun: “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum.
“They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together. They’ve been on holiday together and Beatrice introduced him to Fergie and her dad.”
“Everyone is thrilled that Bea is so happy and in such a good place right now.”
The couple married in a small ceremony at Windsor Castle, on July 17, 2020.
As the ceremony took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was only attended by 20 guests including the late Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Phillip, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew.
Welcoming a child
The couple have three children together and welcomed their first daughter on September 18, 2021.
The Palace said at the time: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.”
They named their daughter Sienna.
However, Beatrice is also a stepmother to Edoardo’s son from a previous relationship.
Their son is named Christopher Woolf, whom they nickname Wolfie.
A third child
Beatrice and Edoardo announced on January 25, 2025, that they had welcomed their “tiny”, third child.
Named Athena, she reportedly weighed only 4lb and 5oz.
The Palace released a press statement which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, January 22, at 12:57pm.
“The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
“The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
“Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.
“Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.”
The birth came just months after the couple announced Beatrice’s pregnancy in October 2024.
