Jon Rahm’s team announced the news of their new addition on their social media this evening[/caption]

It is believed that the deal was in excess of $5m just to sign with the rebel league.

2024 individual LIV Golf winner Jon Rahm has long been linked with a move for the player to join his team after the relegation of Kieran Vincent from the individual standing in the league.

McKibbin joins Spaniard Rahm, England’s Tyrrell Hatton and American Caleb Surrat on the Legion XIII side.

The Northern Irish golfer won a PGA Tour card last season after claiming one of the ten dual cards up for grabs on the DP World Tour end-of-season order of merit.

Taking to social media, LEGION XIII announced the signing on their X account.

A video was posted unveiling McKibbin in their black and pink colours, along with a caption that read: “It’s official. Welcome to Legion XIII

But will forfeit his playing privileges on the PGA Tour after penning a deal with LIV.

The world 107 will now have to rely on invitations to major championships as there’s no world ranking points on offer at LIV.

He’ll be able to play certain DP World Tour in order to boost his OWGR.

If LIV golfers were previous members of the DP World Tour, they have fulfil a four-event quota to keep their membership, but fines must be paid if in place for LIV golfers to take part.

The stipulation apparently helps to strike a balance between the interests of the two organisations and the players.

McKibbin joins fellow Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell on the league ahead of the season opener next week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Why aren’t Man City’s new signings Marmoush, Khusanov and Reis playing in their final Champions League game?

IF Manchester City are to progress through to the Champions League knockout stages tonight, they will have to do it without their three new recruits.

The Eithad club welcomed Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Omar Marmoush for big money in the last week.

Man City require a win if they are to progress to the playoff round for the last 16[/caption]

Marmoush had a massive impact on City in their 3-1 win against Chelsea and while Khusanov was at fault for the goal, he grew into the game.

However, the trio of £123million signings won’t be able to have any impact on the European stage despite being fit to feature.

Why can’t Man City’s new signings play in the Champions League?

According to Uefa rules, squads must be submitted before the League Phase begins and cannot be added to until the knockout stages.

City are allowed to add up to three new players into their Uefa squad if they progress into the knockout rounds, but it remains complicated.

The club must balance the homegrown quota – a minimum of eight “locally trained” players on their squad list with four from the club’s own youth system – with any new additions.

Will they be able to play if City qualify?

Uefa reminded clubs that its regulations, outlined in Article 32.02, allow additional registrations (beyond three) in specific scenarios for leagues that start and finish within the same calendar year:

  • Four registrations: If more than five players from List A are no longer registered with their national federation as part of the club after the group stage, the team can add one additional player, increasing the total to four new eligible players.
  • Five registrations: If more than seven players from List A are no longer part of the club under the same conditions, two additional players can be registered, raising the total to five.

Furthermore, Article 32.04 specifies that any or all players registered under these rules may have played for another team during the qualifying rounds, playoffs, or group stage of the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League.

As it stands, City have exceed the limit with five locally trained players leaving just seven of the eight homegrown slots usable.

The stipulations may restrict how many January arrivals City could register with potentially leaving one or more out.

Map lays bare UK’s poverty crisis with HALF of kids living below breadline in hardest-hit areas – where does YOURS rank?

A MAP has laid bare the UK’s poverty crisis with half of kids living below the breadline in the hardest-hit areas.

The findings, compiled by the Sun based on data released by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, shows 14.4million people – or 22% – are living in poverty.

Damning findings by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation has revealed that over 14 million people are living rough in the UK[/caption]

The average poverty rates in England (22%), Wales (21%) and Scotland (21%) converged at around the same level, while
poverty rates were much lower in Northern Ireland at 17%.

Meanwhile, the data shows that child poverty rates in Scotland (24%) are considerably lower than those in England (30%) and Wales (29%).

In Northern Ireland, the rate is a lower but nonetheless alarming 23%.

By 2029, it is estimated that almost one in three children in England will be below the breadline.

“We can’t expect children to be ready for school or able to learn if they’re going without the basics”, fumed JRF chief executive Paul Kissack.

“Growing up in poverty can also lead to poor health, increasing pressure on the NHS.

“Child poverty will only be driven down through focused, deliberate and determined policy action.

“Even very strong economic growth won’t automatically change the picture.”

“Policy action must start with the system designed to help people meet their costs of living – social security.

“At the moment that system is not only failing to do its job but, worse, actively pushing some people into deeper poverty, through cruel limits and caps.”

The fresh findings ranked the West Midlands first for its poverty levels across the board at 27%.

Nipping at its heels is the North West (25%).

London follows closely behind at 24%, while Yorkshire and the Humber slumped at fourth with 23%.

With the exception of the Big Smoke, around three in 10 of working adults are unemployed in those areas.

Lower down, one in five Brits in the East, South East and South West of England are out of work.

“Currently, our social security system doesn’t reflect the cost of life’s essentials as well as the reality that some families have higher costs or need to make one income stretch further, including larger families and lone parent families,” the JRF said.

“These families are disproportionately impacted by specific welfare policies such as the two-child limit and cap on benefits.”

The shocking findings have attracted sharp criticism from politicians.

“From their refusal to scrap the two child benefit cap and their heartless decision to cut the Winter Fuel Payments, this government has done next to nothing to tackle the growing poverty pandemic in this county,” Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesperson Daisy Cooper MP said.

“Ministers need to reverse these policies or we will continue to see these intolerable situations.

“It’s heartbreaking that so many people are still struggling to afford the very basics – with the numbers only growing.

“And it’s unacceptable that in 2025, families have to worry how they’ll keep a roof over their children’s heads, and some pensioners have to choose between heating and eating.

“This deep poverty is a scar on the nation made by the Conservative Party but the Labour government has so far just sat on its hands.”

Top 10 most impoverished areas in Britain (%)

  1. West Midlands (27%)
  2. The North West (25%)
  3. London (24%)
  4. Yorkshire and the Humber (23%)

Wynne Evans’s Strictly co-stars rally around him as he battles to save career

WYNNE Evans’s Strictly co-stars have rallied around him following his decision to step back from the tour and his BBC work commitments.

Insiders told The Sun that Wynne, 53, was at home in Wales with close pals “keeping an eye on him,” as the BBC put him in touch with a welfare officer.

The opera singer is battling to save his career, including his £1million Go Compare contract after making crude sexual “jokes” to Strictly crew and co-stars.

He stepped down from the tour and his BBC Radio Wales show on Tuesday following his remark to Janette Manrara about a “spit roast”.

Wynne left Liverpool on Tuesday and returned home to be with his friends and family.

A source said: “Wynne is surrounded by people who are supporting him and the BBC have assigned him someone to talk to.

“He is incredibly apologetic and knows what he says was misjudged.

“Wynne’s Strictly co-stars have all rallied and are backing him all the way,

“They all love Wynne and have a lot of time for him.

Janette has nothing but affection for Wynne. They just want him to be alright.”

Last night Wynne was holed up at his home in Wales with close pals looking after him.

He spoke out on Tuesday and issued a statement confirming he was stepping back from his radio show and from the Strictly Live tour.

He said: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that l’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

“Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”

Taking to X, his brother Mark, a baritone performer and children’s author, also praised his brother’s character while addressing the controversy.

He said: “As a brother, I want to express my unwavering support for him during this challenging time.”

He continued: “Wynne has a heart of gold and the courage of a lion, paired with a talent that outshines most.

“His charisma and humour have brought joy to countless people.”

Wynne alluded to a threesome by using the term “spit roast”, outraging fans of the Strictly and prompting bosses to remove him from the production.

It followed an incident early in last year’s series when he was criticised for placing his hand on dance partner Katya Jones’ midriff before she quickly removed it – though both insist there was no issue.

Following his remark on the Strictly tour, Wynne split from his girlfriend Liz Brookes.

Wynne Evans' Strictly scandals

‘Grope’

Wynne encountered a backlash after his Strictly pro partner Katya was filmed removing his hand from her waist.

Fans insisted she looked uncomfortable as she moved it away – but Katya later insisted there was no problem.

In joke

They then sparked further fury, when she was seen refusing to high-five the Opera singer.

The duo were quick to issue a video apology and insisted it was all an innocent “inside joke”.

Crude joke

Wynne came under fire for allegedly telling a “crude” joke to one of the show’s make-up artists.

Insiders claim the opera star made a joke that the folds of his double chin “looked like a vagina”.

A source said: “It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.”

Vile comment

Wynne was recorded suggesting a three-way sex session with presenter Janette Manrara, using the term “spit roast”.

His remark came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, which pro Janette, 41, is hosting.

He reportedly pulled a suggestive face at actor Jamie Borthwick as Janette moved between them — which is when Evans allegedly made the joke.

Wynne has apologised saying: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”

People have been driving around to multiple stores trying to find the sold out jacket[/caption]

People have been heading to multiple Asda stores to see if they can find the £38 leopard print puffer coat but for many, it has been an unsuccessful trip.

Plenty of fashion fans have been begging for it to appear online and have been checking the website daily in the hopes it does.

And now they have reason to celebrate, as that day is just around the corner.

Fabulous’ deputy fashion editor, Abby McHale revealed: “This viral leopard print coat from George at Asda is online tomorrow.

“So set your alarms.

“I know so many people who have gone to like five or more Asda’s to try and find this, but you do not need to anymore.”

Man your computers, as the 30th January is when the jacket will be available to purchase online at 5am.

That’s despite reports that it would be hitting the website on Monday 27th January.

Many shoppers set their alarms on Monday morning in the hope of adding one to their shopping baskets, but were disappointed to see that just a plain beige version of the jacket was available online.

“Waited up, it’s still not on the website!” one person wrote.

“I had an alarm set for 6am,” another added.

“Checked website, not on, drove to my local and it’s not there either!”

“I tried at 12am, 6am and 7,” a third fumed.

“Are people just having us on?”

“I think it’s all a hype – it’s not on there,” someone else said.

“Been awake half the night,” another raged.

“Still not on the f**king website!”

Fashionistas have been taking to social media in their thousands to gush about the coat – which is a dupe of a Ganni one, but £587 cheaper.

Carrie was one of the lucky shoppers who managed to get her hands on the jacket, after craftily deciding to hit the supermarket late in a hopeful bid to find it.

She took to her TikTok page to share a video of herself modelling the product, as she put her son in charge of filming her from “all angles” so she could see if she liked it.

All proceeds from the range go to The British Fashion Council to help promote young designers, so a win win!
There also seems to be a return to quality in the clothing range.
