KING Callum Walsh will headline an Madison Square Garden in New York for St Patrick’s Day weekend.
The Cork native will look to maintain his perfect pro-record against Scotland’s Dean Sutherland (19-1, 7 KOs) in the Big Apple.
The scheduled bout will take place in the arena’s smaller Theatre venue on March 16.
Walsh is coming off a win over Polish fighter Przemyslaw Runowski in two rounds at the Three Arena last year.
The overmatched Pole – in his 26th pro bout – was no match for ‘King Callum’ who moved his record to 12-0.
The Dana White backed Irish talent has 12 victories in the paid ranks, which include 12 knock-outs from as many bouts.
23-year-old Freddie Roach trained prospect will now defend his WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight title against the Scotsman.
Speaking on the announcement of the bout, the super-welterweight star was delighted with the booking.
He said: “It’s a thrill to be fighting back at Madison Square Garden for the third time and again on St Patrick’s Day Weekend.
“I’ll be ready to put on a show for the biggest Irish celebration in New York City.”

“This fight provides Callum another opportunity to prove that he is the best and most marketable young fighter in boxing as he headlines this famed venue for the third time.”
The bout will be streamed around the globe on the UFC Fight Pass subscription service.
