Ben Affleck and his child Fin Affleck stepped out in style for a fun day with some pals in California. The Batman actor and his middle child were photographed while strolling with friends at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach on Sunday, February 16.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Fin, 16, showed off a new, longer hairstyle with two ponytails and bangs. Fin wore a Bob Marley T-shirt and green pants for the outing as well as a white and blue jacket, glasses, black sneakers and a black crossbody bag. The teen previously rocked a buzzcut that was dyed pink during an outing with Ben, 52, in 2024.
Ben for his part wore a sleek nude-colored shirt with a matching jacket and cream-colored pants along with white sneakers. The Oscar winner wore sunglasses in the photos from the outing. The outlet also reported that in addition to visiting the aquarium, Fin was seen getting behind the wheel of a Toyota and practicing driving as Ben sat in the passenger’s seat.
It was previously reported by multiple outlets in August 2024 that Fin went to the DMV to get their driver’s permit with their mom.
In addition to Fin, Ben also shares daughter Violet, 19, and son Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The doting dad is often spotted spending time with his children in California, most recently watching an NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors with Samuel at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 6.
Ben has been leaning on his family in the wake of finalizing his divorce from Jennifer Lopez in January. The divorce was finalized just 20 weeks after the “On the Floor” singer initially filed, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. And while their two-year marriage ultimately didn’t work out, an insider told In Touch that they wanted to remain in each other’s lives for the sake of their children. J. Lo, 55, shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“It’s a really hopeful sign that they managed to get through this without hating each other, because they would like to preserve their friendship,” the source told the outlet in January. “It’s also imperative to her that the kids continue to have a friendship as well. They’re both on the same page which is wonderful.”
J. Lo’s two kids became close to Ben’s kids during their marriage and were often spotted hanging out together. The exes hope that their kids’ friendships will continue despite their split.
“They have a lot of love and respect for each other and ideally would love to stay in each other’s lives,” the insider said.
Ben and first wife Jennifer, 52, are also close as they continue to coparent their children.
“Ben has managed to have a divorced relationship with Jennifer Garner that is so beautiful, so he does see it as possible,” the source added. “J. Lo is certainly showing all the signs and actions that she wants the same thing and not just with Ben, she doesn’t want to lose the bond she has with his kids.”
