Celtic 90s title hero has Rangers takeover warning – and details the most important signing new Ibrox owners must make
ALAN STUBBS has told Rangers’ American investors that Celtic are a runaway train.
The Ibrox club are on the verge of a takeover by health insurance boss Andrew Cavenagh and San Francisco 49ers chief Paraag Marathe.

But former Hoops defender Stubbs says it will mean nothing unless the right structure is put in place.
He said: “Celtic have been unbelievable.
“The stature of the two Glasgow clubs is still enormous. But in terms of their spending power, we’ve got one that’s a runaway train.
“We’ve got one that’s trying to catch up and finding it very difficult.
“Even if Rangers get investment, it doesn’t guarantee success. I’ve seen that first hand with my team, Everton.
“Celtic had it a few years ago where their recruitment wasn’t great.
“Since Brendan Rodgers has come back, we’ve seen players go out and there’s been a real upturn in terms of the calibre of players they’re bringing in.
“If Rangers get taken over by the 49ers, the owners are there.
“But, and I’ve said this about Everton, the most important signing is a director of football. A head of recruitment, not a manager.
“Managers are going to come and go. It’s the DNA of the club and the style of play that needs to be set from the top down.”
Meanwhile Neil Lennon admits “genius” Jose Mourinho broke his heart — and could do the same to Barry Ferguson.
The Fenerbahce boss guided Porto to victory over Celtic in the 2003 Uefa Cup final in Seville.
Now, almost 22 years on, his side face Ferguson’s Rangers in the last 16 of the Europa League in Istanbul tomorrow.
And Lennon has warned his one-time Old Firm foe that he’s facing a dugout great.
He said: “Jose is a genius. He’s one of the best of all time.
“He broke my heart in Seville. He’s just an incredible manager and a good person as well.
“Think what he did with Porto and then Inter Milan, what he did with Chelsea, what he did with Real Madrid.
“He’s spiky, which I like. A lot of people don’t take to him. But his record is incredible.

“I always remember him finishing second with Manchester United and saying it was one of his best achievements.
“Everyone dismissed it but if you look at it now, Jose won the Europa League with United and won the League Cup too.
“He got Spurs to the League Cup final, and they sacked him before it.
“Jose’s a winner. He does it by hook or by crook. Maybe he’s not at his best now — but I loved him.
“Mourinho will want it, he’ll want this Europa League, so it’s going to be difficult for Rangers whether he’s Fenerbahce manager or not.
“Just the fact he’s there adds that X-factor to Fenerbahce.”

MAFS Australia fans shocked to discover couple are still together after groom was branded ‘walking red flag’
FANS of Married At First Sight Australia have been left stunned at realising that an unlikely show couple have defied all the odds and remained together a year on.
The raucous Aussie reality series has just launched a brand new series but it hasn’t stopped viewers from having a nosy in to what some of the most memorable contestants from the past have been up to.

It has left them shocked to see that controversial couple Jack and Tori are still going strong more than a year on.
Jack and Tori became one of the most explosive pairings in the franchise’s global history and it seemed almost certain that their union was doomed to fail.
But much to the surprise of fans, the couple are currently more loved-up with one another and regularly share a slew of snaps together on Instagram.
Realising they were still going strong, one fan said: “Love to randomly check up on old MAFS couples and I caaaannot believe Jack and Tori are still together.”
Another echoed: “I actually can’t believe Jack and Tori from MAFS are still together.”
A third penned: “I can’t believe Tori and Jack from MAFSAU are still together.”
Whilst a fourth added a very similar sentiment, writing: “I’ve Googled and I can’t believe Jack and Tori are still together.”
The couple recently opened up on how they have stuck together since the show.
Speaking to Mamamia, Jack said: “I believe adversity makes you stronger. Having the unfortunate journey on MAFS, [due] to NO fault of our own (minus a couple moments of poor judgement), has made us an indestructible couple.
“We had to learn extremely quickly to trust, love and respect each other under immense pressure, so continuing our relationship in the real world has been a breeze.
“Tori and I still share ridiculous banter daily, and continue to live, love and laugh.”
The pair currently live together in the Gold Coast of Australia.
When they first got together on the show, Jack was branded a “walking red flag” by fans.
In scenes screened when they first met, he told the camera: “She seems sweet. I think she’ll challenge me a little bit, but I definitely reckon I’ll sort her out, and we’ll have a good time.
“I definitely want to play that dominant role to Tori; it might be a bit of a power struggle. But I feel like she’s gonna be a good girl.”
Some viewers were worried about Jack’s comments about submissive women and immediately likened him to series 10 groom Harrison Boon, who was repeatedly called out by his co-stars and viewers for “gaslighting” bride Bronte Schofield.
One viewer wrote: “Jack is a massive instant red flag, he will end up being super controlling, gaslight and probably the first one to cheat.”
A second posted: “They’re not orange flags – they are the brightest of bright red.”
