In scenes yet to air, she struggles to keep her financial struggles a secret from sister Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick).

Meanwhile, Pollard (Chris Chittell) summons Tracy to the Woolpack for a chat.

Although she tries to hide her dread, will Tracy be found out?

Previous storylines depicted Tracy and former husband Nate’s (Jurell Carter) financial woes.

She had the idea to open up a nursery and Nate’s uncle Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) offered to help financially.

This led to her and Caleb later embarking on an affair – which was eventually uncovered.

Nate ultimately left the village for good last year, departing for a new start in Scotland.

Meanwhile, a recent storyline saw Tracy involved in the soap’s horror limo crash.

Fans were gripped when a party limo filled with beloved regulars was sent plunging into an icy lake – leaving multiple lives in the balance.

Tracy survived the incident, along with most of the others who were impacted.

Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) all lost their lives.

It was also hinted that Nate may have met a grim fate after leaving the Dales.

During terrifying scenes, viewers saw a corpse trapped underneath the lake, wrapped in a tarpaulin and weighed down with chains.

It was heavily hinted to be Nate, with one key clue sticking out to fans.

Biggest soap stunts

By Conor O’Brien

Soaps are no stranger to dramatic stunts in the storylines. Not only do these moments create a spectacle for viewers, they also fundamentally change characters’ lives.

Here is a look at some of the biggest soap stunts from over the years.

CORONATION STREET

  • Tram crash (2010): The ITV soap marked its 50th anniversary with a intense tram crash – and live episode to boot. Overall, the crash and its effects were broadcast across a week in December 2010. Its resulting chaos saw regular characters Ashley Peacock (Steven Arnold) and Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) die.
  • Richard Hillman tries to kill the Platts (2003): Of all the men unlucky-in-love Gail tied the knot with, Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) is probably the one she regrets most in hindsight. In 2003, murderer Richard tried to kill his step-family: first by gassing them with car fumes and then driving Gail (Helen Worth), Sarah (Tina O’Brien), David (Jack P. Shepherd) and Bethany (Amy and Emily Walton) into a canal.

EASTENDERS

  • Queen Vic fire (2010): In September 2010, EastEnders bid farewell to matriarch Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) as a permanent fixture on the soap – she returned as a guest before the character’s death in 2016. In the build-up to her initial exit, Peggy had trapped crack cocaine-addicted son Phil (Steve McFadden) in the Queen Vic. However, he escaped and set the boozer on fire.
  • Bus crash (2017): In April 2017, a total of 11 Albert Square residents had their lives at risk in a terrifying bus crash. The stunt saw a double decker bus – the 764 to Barking – lose control and crash through the Albert Square market before hitting a low-level bridge. Notable passengers at the time included Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper).

EMMERDALE

  • James Barton’s death (2016): Interestingly about James’ (Bill Ward) death was that it came in a spiral of events. After wife Emma (Gillian Kearney) locked James up in a jealous rage, he escaped and they tussled on a bridge over the bypass. Emma pushed him and James fell into traffic, in turn causing a 12-vehicle pile up, As well as James dying, key characters including Ashley Thomas (John Middleton) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) were injured.

The body’s arm was wearing a bracelet identical to Nate’s, as made for him by daughter Frankie.

A viewer wrote: “Okay anyone thinking John had something to do with Nate? That tarp wrapping has got me thinking. Might have to go back and watch to see if I can spot the connection.”

Another penned: “John was and he was the one who said Nate had left without saying goodbye. Hope we don’t just leave Nate there now.”

Emmerdale continues on ITV1 and ITVX.

Will Cassie succumb to what Tracy presents her with?[/caption]

So, she’s thrilled when Cassie is turned away from shifts at the Rovers in scenes yet to air.

Tracy is not happy, however, when Ken (William Roache) compares her and Cassie.

After venting at Craig (Colson Smith) for failing to make the arrest, Tracy takes matters into her own hands.

She summons Cassie to No.1, serves lunch and suggests they work out their differences.

Determined to ruin her new foe’s life, Tracy hands a bag of drugs to Cassie.

As Tracy urges her to get stuck in, Cassie is left feeling tempted as she stares at the drugs.

Will she succumb to the pressure?

In previous scenes, Tracy was horrified to learn Cassie had been drugging her stepfather Ken.

As part of the scheme, she had even been making extravagant purchases on Ken’s credit card.

Viewers were stunned last year when Cassie began poisoning Ken – having begun caring for him after an injury.

Although Ken let her go due to financial strain, she started drugging the soap veteran to keep him reliant on her.

She continued doing this despite suspicion from Tracy and other residents.

On February 26, everything came to light and Ken forced her to leave.

However, a further dramatic twist saw beloved Ken suffer a terrifying heart attack.

He was rushed to hospital, where he disclosed what Cassie had done to his family.

Cassie attempted to flee Weatherfield, but was later apprehended by officers.

Coronation Street continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
