Most will already know that the front button on the Sky Q box allows you to track down your existing remote.

This causes your controller to beep.

But if it’s out of range or has no battery, it won’t work.

Instead, there is another handy option available to viewers – and that’s a virtual remote.

For the moment, it only works on iOS, so an iPhone or iPad.

But there are plans to build a version for Android in the future.

This is also one of the few features that Sky Q has exclusively versus the company’s other TV products, Sky Glass and Sky Stream.

The tool is hidden within the Sky Go app.

To benefit from it, ensure it is set up on your phone now before you lose your main controller.

“Lost your remote? Out of battery? Or just too lazy to stand up and get it?” Sky says.

“No matter the reason, we’ve got you covered.”

How to find the Sky Q hidden remote

To find the Sky Q virtual remote you’ll need the Sky Go app installed on your phone.

Ensure that your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Sky Q box too.

Then, just open the app and look for the remote icon, which can be found at the top right of the homepage next to search.

Here you will see the full menu of controls that should link up to your Sky Q box.

And if multiple boxes are connected, you can switch between set-top-boxes through the settings icon on the remote page.

Tricks for your Sky remote

Try a whole host of Sky tricks to take your TV to a whole new level.

Yet despite his huge Hollywood presence, Sam Claflin managed to take a low-key trip on the London Underground.

He wrapped up in a denim jacket and hat, with a snug pink hoodie also worn over his head.

Sam donned a moustache and plugged in his earphones for a spot of privacy as he sat down for his journey.

After exiting the station, clearly not having reached his final destination, he hopped on a Lime bike for the rest of the way.

The dad of two, who graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2009, captured his journey on social media.

He stunned fans as he posted the scenes to Instagram Stories after he wrapped his trip.

Back in 2022, we reported how the star lived in a swish West London pad – so will be very used to navigating the Tube network.

Speaking about his home and life during lockdown, the Peaky Blinders alum recently said: “I’m based in West London, and we’ve got so many great parks to explore.

“That’s been quite wonderful — and I think I’ve literally been to every park within walking distance of my house.”

The unique property features a stylish expose brick wall in the kitchen and there is an impressive garden featuring a football goal for the children.

He lives alongside his toy cockapoo Rosie.

HOME LIFE

Sam and his wife – Inbetweeners star Laura Haddock  – split in 2019 after six years of marriage, leaving their fans shocked.

She has starred in Transformers: The Last Knight as Vivian Wembley and played Meredith Quill in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

At the time of the break-up, Sam released a statement which read: “Laura and I have decided to legally separate.

“We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another whilst we continue to raise our family together.

“We won’t be commenting on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time.

“Both of us x.”

Back in October, Sam split with his model girlfriend Cassie Amato – before it was revealed he was dating again.

I got a £3K Universal Credit payment this month but I’m a broke, pregnant 21-year-old mum-of-3 & with £2 to survive on

A 21-YEAR-OLD mother has revealed that she receives £3,000 a month in Universal Credit, but on the same day of her payment, is left with just £2 in her bank.

Millie, a 21-year-old mum-of-three, who is ‘attempting to budget better & save more’, explained that her nursery fees cost her over £2,000 a month alone.

A pregnant mother of three explains that her £3,000 Universal Credit payment is already spent.
A young mother has revealed that despite being paid £3,000 from Universal Credit, on the same day, her bank account has been left with just £2

Not only this, but after her bills, she is left ‘skint’ with three kids.

To top things off, the mum-of-three is now pregnant with baby number four, due in September 2025.

The young woman, who is from the UK, has a job and also makes “a little bit of money” from her TikTok videos via the Creator Fund, took to social media to share her situation.

Millie, who is eligible for Universal Credit, which is given to UK residents with a low income or who need help with their living costs, as well as child benefits, uploaded her short clip with the caption ‘I can assure you this isn’t rage bait or whatever else you like to accuse me of. Roll on payday’.

The content creator, who previously revealed that haters called her a “benefits scrounger”, pays £3,056.55 on nursery fees and bills every month.

As a result, she said: “I got paid £3,000 from Universal Credit today and it is all gone.

“I’ve paid the most important bills and I’ll just have to wait until I get my wages to pay for the rest of them, which isn’t a problem, but I have been left with £2 even though I had that £3,000 in the bank this morning.”

The young mother explained that her nursery fees are “absolutely through the roof”, hence why her Universal Credit payment doesn’t last long.

Millie then continued: “But I am making changes as of next month to make sure that this isn’t gonna constantly be the case because I wasn’t expecting it to go up as much as it has.”

Despite trying to cut back on costs, Millie shared: “And also to top it off, TikTok decided to disqualify one of my videos from the Creator Rewards Program, so I am £200 down on that so this is just a little cry for help to see if I can get this video up to as many views as I have that one, just so I’m not losing out on any money.”

Subsequently, she confessed: “Life is rough, it is so bad at the minute.”

Am I entitled to Universal Credit?

According to the GOV website, if you’re on a low income or need help with your living costs, then you could be entitled to Universal Credit.

To claim, you must live in the UK, be aged 18 or over (with some exceptions if you’re 15 to 17), be under State Pension age, and have £16,000 or less in money, savings and investments.

Other circumstances are if you are out of work, or unable to work, for example because of a health condition.

Parents rush to support

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @millie.2103, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 85,700 views, 1,789 likes and 113 comments in just 24 hours.

Other mothers were eager to support Millie and many flocked to the comments to share messages of love for the young parent.

Supporting you girl! Hopefully you can get the nursery fees sorted

TikTok user

One person said: “You’re doing great! You need them in childcare to work. The haters would hate even more if you didn’t work.”

Another added: “Ridiculous how much nursery fees are.”

How much is child benefit worth?

THERE are two child benefit rates, one for the eldest child and another for younger children.

  • You get £21.15 per week for your eldest or only child (£1099.80 a year)
  • You get £14 for each of your other children (£728 per year, per child)
  • You get the money for each child under 16 (or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training)
  • If families split up, how much you’ll get for each child depends on how you claim.
  • If you have 2 children and one stays with you and the other stays with your ex-partner, you’ll both get £21.15 a week for each child.
  • If one parent claims for all the children, you get £21.15 for the eldest and £14 for each younger child.
  • Only one household can claim for each child

A third commented: “Supporting you girl! Hopefully you can get the nursery fees sorted.”

Meanwhile, someone else questioned: “No hate but surely it’s not even worth you working if you’re left with barely anything once you’ve had to pay nursery.”

To this, Millie replied and confirmed: “No it’s not, I’m planning ahead and trying to figure out how to go about it all. Tied to a contract for at least 2.5 more months.”

Next up is JP McManus’ Majborough who is currently a best price 4-7 for the Arkle.

His odds collapsed after Nicky Henderson confirmed former favourite Sir Gino would miss the Festival for the second year in a row.

Then things really hot up.

Owner Rich Ricci suggested Lossiemouth could still line up in the Mares’ Hurdle.

Mullins said she had been trained for the Champion Hurdle all season but Brighterdaysahead defecting to the feature race could force a classic late switcheroo.

Following his comments on Wednesday night at Sun Racing’s Cheltenham Preview, Lossiemouth was eased out to 6-1 for the Champion Hurdle and was cut into 11-8 from 7-2 for the Mares’ Hurdle, while she is odds-on across the board in non-runner no-bet markets.

Ricci said: “She disappointed at Christmas and she had a horrible fall at Leopardstown in a race where we really didn’t learn anything.

“We had a chat with Willie on Tuesday night, she’s been left in both races and I think we’ll wait and make a call at the weekend.

“Paul chose to ride State Man at Leopardstown and I’d like to see who he is going to ride in the Champion.

“I know it will be difficult for him to get off State Man, he won the Champion last year, but who he chooses to ride is a factor.

“I’m not embarrassed to say we’ve campaigned her as a Champion Hurdle horse and it hasn’t worked out.

“UItimately, it will be Willie’s decision and we’ll have some input and make it over the weekend.

“She has got one more piece of work to do so we’ll see how she goes. Remember, she is only six, she is still a young horse.”

If Lossiemouth does line up in the Mares’ then it leaves Constitution Hill as the final leg of the four-fold.

He will have a hell of a race on his hands against Gordon Elliott’s mare – and it could go down as an all-time classic.

Constitution Hill is 8-11 currently and the biggest loser in the book across the week for Paddy Power and BetVictor.

A spokesperson said: “The prospect of four odds-on shots on day one wouldn’t have been welcomed by us, and it’s questionable how much it would have served up to the betting public.

“Now we have a true challenger to Constitution Hill in Brighterdaysahead.

“I think come the day, and depending on the shape of the race, we could just see briefly a little bit of odds-against on Constitution Hill, who as it stands remains our standout worst ante-post result in the book.”
