Celtic vs Hibs: Brendan Rodgers eyes revenge over David Gray’s side in Scottish Cup after Easter Road defeat – team news
SCOTTISH CUP action resumes this weekend with eight teams battling for a place at Hampden next month.
Celtic will move one step closer to clinching the Treble with a win at Parkhead, but it won’t be plain sailing for Brendan Rodgers in this quarter-final clash.

That’s because his side face David Gray’s Hibs team who are the Hoops’ biggest challengers for the trophy on current form after Rangers crashed out of the competition in the previous round.
It’s been a whirlwind first season as a full-time manager for the Easter Road legend after a ropey start in the dugout.
It took Hibs five games to register a win in the league and they found themselves in a shock relegation fight with Edinburgh rivals Hearts just a couple months ago.
But Gray has since turned things around in remarkable style and Hibs now sit THIRD in the Premiership after going unbeaten in 15 games across all competitions.
During that run Hibs have beaten Celtic, Hearts and held Rangers to a chaotic 3-3 draw.
Can they pull off another massive result on Sunday?
Well, beating either of the Old Firm on their own patch is always a much tougher task.
However, they will be backed by 7,000 fans of their own at Parkhead which will no doubt give them a massive boost.
SunSport has all the details you need to know ahead of the Scottish Cup showdown.
When is Celtic vs Hibs and what time does it kick off?

Glastonbury fans left fuming as ‘absolutely brutal’ festival clash between two massive stars is revealed
GLASTONBURY fans have been left fuming after discovering Charli XCX and Doechii are scheduled to perform at the same time this year.
The festival’s official line up was unveiled today, with The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young all set to storm the Pyramid Stage this summer.

But, while the bill boasts a diverse mix of artists to cater to every musical taste, one scheduling decision has left some fuming.
The official website confirmed the set times, revealing Charli, 32, will take to the Other Stage while Doechii, 26, headlines the West Holts Stage – forcing fans to choose between the two artists.
Festivalgoers took to Reddit to vent their disappointment, with one writing: “Doechii to headline West Holts when Charli is on the Other. Makes sense to have Neil, Charli and Doechii on at the same time for crowd control but will be sad to miss either C or D!”
A second ranted: “Whyyyyyy would they clash those two. Perhaps it’s scheduling, but it’s going to annoy so many people. Maybe they realised they needed to try to split the Charli crowd.”
Someone else said: “Absolutely brutal clash,” while another agreed, adding: “Very likely for crowd control.”
With the fest set to take place on Worthy Farm between June 25 and 29, Sir Rod Stewart will perform his classic tracks in the legends slot.
Up-and-comers like Lola Young will entertain the younger generation.
Both Olivia and Lola are headlining British Summer Time in Hyde Park this summer with the latter backed by his band the Chrome Hearts.
The Eavis family look to have found the perfect blend of acts this year with a better showing for female artists than in past years.
And there’s something for everyone whether you’re into heavy rock, indie, rap, jazz, acoustic, or dance.
Loyle Carner is headlining the Other Stage on the Friday, while Charli XCX is performing on the same day as godfather of grunge Young when she tops the second stage.
Dance legends The Prodigy will close the Other Stage on Sunday.
It’ll be party vibes with Raye and US rapper Doechii coming to the farm, while Deftones and Amyl and the Sniffers will get the mosh pits going.
Brit winners Ezra Collective will bring their genre-bending groove to Pilton, while Noah Kahan, The Libertines, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Wolf Alice and Biffy Clyro are other standout names.
Alanis Morissette, Busta Rhymes, Gracie Abrams, and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty are also on the bill.
Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall is performing at the event for the first time fresh from winning Best Pop Act at the Brits.
Britpop veterans Supergrass, rising star Myles Smith, indie stars Wunderhorse and Inhaler, Weezer, country star Shaboozey and noughties art rockers Franz Ferdinand are dotted around the line-up.
Some heavily rumoured names haven’t made the cut, as it stands, with Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan notable omissions.

How crossbow killer went from ‘unremarkable’ Army dropout to triple murderer after fixation with ‘sexualised violence’
CROSSBOW Killer Kyle Clifford went from an “unremarkable” Army dropout to notorious triple murderer after “sexualised violence” became part of his viewpoint.
The 26-year-old carried out the “completely unforeseeable” attack on ex Louise Hunt, 25, her mum Carol, 61, and sister Hannah, 28, in July last year.

Clifford has now been found guilty of tying up and raping Louise during the triple attack at the Hunt family home in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
Police have described the killer as an “entirely unremarkable individual” who had gone through an “amicable” break up with Louise.
But Senior investigating officer DCI Gardner also said there was nothing in messages between the couple to suggest “any violence, threat or stalking”.
It comes as:
- Clifford was today convicted of raping Louise in the day of the horror
- The monster watched Andrew Tate videos before murder
- Clifford cried fake tears in his police interview
Clifford had lost his job as a cooling engineer around the same time he was dumped by Louise – one of many he had lost over the years.
The detective explained: “He was unable to deal with this break-up, lost a number of jobs.
“He doesn’t come across as an intelligent or highly motivated individual in any way.
“It was almost like he couldn’t deal with the idea of a personal affront to him…strange when he is happy to carry out relationship’s behind Louise’ back.
“‘It is difficult to comprehend. He just went to the most extreme levels of violence for little or no cause.”
Clifford grew up in Enfield, one of four children – three boys and a girl – raised by their British father and Maltese mother.
Brother Bradley, now 30, was jailed for life with a minimum tariff of 23 years in 2018 for a road rage murder.
He mowed down two youths on a scooter after his Ford Mustang was damaged with a bottle and brutally beat 18-year-old Soban Khan as he lay dying on the ground.
Family friends say Kyle was close to Bradley and the pair kept in close touch.
Louise mentioned his brother in prison in a list she drew up of reasons why she was better off without Clifford.
She also mentioned Clifford’s opinion that road rage violence was okay.
Clifford himself had no previous history of violence other than getting into trouble for bullying on several occasions at school.
He has convictions for possession of cannabis and affray but did not serve a prison sentence for those offences.
Prior to the murders, he had been bouncing through jobs, including working briefly in security after leaving the military.
A former Army colleague told the Sun he had never fitted in at the Queen’s Dragoons after joining in 2019 before dropping out two years later.

After the Army, Clifford took a number of low-paid jobs before finding work in private security.
Despite his average lifestyle, there was a sinister side to Clifford – with jurors hearing how “sexualised violence” was a “significant feature” in his attack and part of his world viewpoint.
Prosecutor Alison Morgan KC said: “It might be said that the rape is at the heart of these events.
“Why he wants to carry out this attack on Louise Hunt and why he wants to…..it’s all about sexualised context.”
It can now also be revealed that Clifford was under the influence of misogyny “poster boy” Andrew Tate when he murdered the family.
He had accessed material from Tate on the internet within 24 hours of carrying out the brutal attack.
On the day before the murders, Clifford told “an acquaintance” he had been watching videos and was online “looking at Tate or some of his outpourings.”
His phone also showed he had tried to search for a podcast made by British and American former kickboxer champion Tate, who is facing rape and human trafficking charges.
Ms Morgan had attempted to introduce evidence about Clifford’s interest in Tate – saying he was a “widely known misogynist.”
She said: “That is what the defendant is searching for less than 24 hours before he is trying to get into the Hunt family home.
“He is searching for that Andrew Tate podcast.
“It misogyny. He is seeking to control Louise Hunt in a final act of spite.”
Police also revealed how Clifford’s interest in Tate was one of the key reasons why Louise ended her relationship with him.
Louise, who ran a dog grooming business from home, was upset when Clifford laughed as he played a video in front of her and friends showing Tate harming an animal.
Cops found a number of videos from Tate on Clifford’s phone following his atrocity.
Herts Police Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner said friends had commented about Clifford watching the Tate video.
He said: “There’s an incident where Louise and her friends have some sort of social event and he puts on an Andrew Tate video.
“It was something about animals being harmed and he seemed to find it funny.”

Dancing On Ice winner reveals emotional pep talk that left soap co-star Sam Aston fighting back tears ahead of final
DANCING On Ice winner Hayley Tamaddon has revealed the emotional pep talk she gave to her Coronation Street co-star Sam Aston ahead of this weekend’s series final.
Sam will be hoping to replicate Hayley’s 2010 success with his skate partner Molly Lanaghan when they go head to head with Anton Ferdinand and Michaela Strachan on Sunday night.

The actress, 48, made the inspiring call to pal Sam after another co-star and Dancing On Ice winner, Ryan Thomas, begged her to repeat the motivational talk she gave to him last year.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun on behalf of Heart Bingo, Hayley explained: “When Ryan was doing the show, I rang him just before the final, because I could see his confidence was dipping.
“And I rang him, and I said, ‘are you all right?’ And he was like, ‘I don’t think I can do it. Am I good enough? Can I do this?’
“I gave him a real kind of parental pep talk, and said, ‘Ryan, you’ve got to believe in yourself. You’ve got this. You’re amazing’.”
Ryan remembered the moment vividly and last week urged Hayley, who played Andrea Beckett on the cobbles for two years, to help their friend out.
She continued: “So last week, Ryan Thomas rings me, and says, ‘can you please ring Sam Aston, and give him the same talk you gave me a year ago?’
“So I did. A week ago, I left Sam a very, very long voice message saying, ‘please believe in you, Sam, because you can do this. You’ve got this.
“‘You are brilliant. You’re a fantastic skater’. And he messaged me saying, ‘I’m all choked up’.
“He said, ‘you’re exactly right. I just need to believe I can do it’. And out he skates, and gets his best score of the series.
“And I think sometimes, just having a friend to kind of go, you’ve got this. We are all supporting you. You can do it, really helps, you know?”
Single mum Hayley, 48, has a big year ahead.
She’s taking her one-woman show on board a cruise ship and, when she’s not at sea, she’ll be focused on bringing her self-penned sitcom to life.
The project, which was first started in 2019, has gone through various iterations and is now in production with hopes that it will be commissioned by a major channel or platform in the near future.
Hayley said: “I’ve worked really hard writing it. And I love writing. You know, it’s a real passion of mine.
“And I think just be happy. Just do what makes you happy. And do what you can to earn the money.
“You know, because that’s it now. You know, being a single parent, it’s just me. Me and my little boy and the help of my mum and dad, which is amazing.

“I take the work where it comes and I’m truly grateful for every job I get.”
Her sitcom took a major step forward in 2022 after Hayley entered it into a competition.
She was one of four winners out of 1,000 entrants and won the opportunity to have her script read to industry heavyweights Netflix, ITV, BBC, and Channel 4.
An all-female production company then came onboard and offered to help her make it a reality.
Hayley said: “I have rewritten it. So it’s nothing like what it was. It’s almost like starting again.
“But I’ve learned as a writer, this is how it is in this industry. You know, some people write things and they don’t see it on screen for another nine years. I mean, I’ve written myself as the lead.
“And when I started writing it, I was only 43 and I’m 48 now. So I’m hoping I can still play it in another four years from now.”
