Major supermarket slashes the price of lingerie to £1.50 in mega sale – there’s kids clothes for less than £5 as well

ON average, a good bra will set you back around £20 – but now thrifty shoppers have spotted affordable lingerie going for just £1.50.

So, if you’re in a dire need of a new bra but don’t want to fork out a fortune, fear not, as Facebook users have got you covered.

One deal hunter, Nicola Steele, took to the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group after spotting loads of cut-price wardrobe essentials in ASDA.

According to the mum, from Manchester, the mega supermarket has slashed prices across its lingerie, kids’ clothing and even homeware sections.

The thrifty shopper managed to get hands on piles of bargains, including different bras for as little as £1.50.

The monster haul included a sexy pastel yellow set (knickers for £1.50 and bra £3.50) that’s perfect to welcome spring, as well as a bright blue T-shirt bra, slashed from £6 to just £1.50.

Another gorgeous find was a sparkly Padded Plunge bra, which was going for a mere £1.50, down from £8, saving Nicole a fortune.

The money-smart ASDA customer also managed to snap up a Two-Pack T-shirt Bra for just £2 – or a quid each – down from a whopping £16.

According to Nicole, who did her shopping in the Horwich branch, all underwear was being flogged for £1.50 to just £3.50.

Meanwhile, the children’s section was packed with purse-friendly outerwear – boys’ coats were going for £4.50 and a fiver, whilst girls’ coats were priced at £12.

All chuffed with the mega haul, Nicola – one of the 2.6million members of the page – said she also snapped up a Stitch-themed cutlery set for the little ones, or any Disney fan, for £1.23.

Informing fellow bargain hunters about the epic offers, Nicola wrote in the caption of the post: ”ASDA Horwich this was yesterday only just managed to get round to posting.”

Since then, the post has taken the internet by storm, winning the Facebook user a whopping 120 likes in less than 24 hours.

Dozens flogged to comments to tag their friends and family members, with some sharing their fabulous buys.

One woman said: ”I just got hoodies down to £3 and 3 pack of T-shirts down to £3 too!”

A second moaned: ”Won’t see prices like that in our asda, most £6-£9 in sales clothes and boots roughly half original price.”

How Asda has upped it's game

By Fabulous’ Fashion Director Tracey Lea Sayer

All the discontinued drinks, snacks and sweets from brands like Walkers and Cadbury that are coming back to shelves

EVERYONE has a much-missed chocolate, sweet drink or snack that has disappeared from shelves.

Brands like Walkers and Cadbury as tapping into the trend for nostalgia by bringing back iconic discontinued products.

A host of brands are introducing new and returning products to shelves[/caption]

And some major brands have been shaking up their offerings to keep shoppers on their toes in recent months.

Some have brought back items last seen years ago while others have introduced new flavours.

We’ve rounded up some of the best new arrivals and returning favourites to hit shelves.

Coca-Cola

Eight-pack of new Coca-Cola Lime.
Coca-Cola has brought back its iconic Lime flavour

Coca-Cola has brought back its Lime-flavoured drink after axing it around 17 years ago.

Shoppers were left devastated after the beverage, combining the classic Coke flavour with lime juice, was discontinued.

As of December, Farm Foods was selling a pack of eight 330ml cans of the drink.

Shoppers can find their nearest Farm Foods store by visiting www.farmfoods.co.uk/store-finder.php.

Ocado and Iceland are also currently selling a 1.75litre bottle of Lime Coca-Cola for £2.50 online.

Cadbury

Cadbury Mini Rolls caramel candy bars.
Cadbury Caramel Mini Rolls were recently unveiled

Cadbury has launched a host of new and returning chocolates including one not seen since the 90s.

The chocolatier recently unveiled Caramel Mini Rolls, with a pack of 10 available exclusively at Asda for £2.38.

They’re set to hit Tesco and Morrisons shelves soon as well.

Last year also saw Cadbury bring back “yummy” 90s bar Top Deck – and it’s still on sale.

Shoppers can pick up the bar in a 110g size, with the price cheapest at Tesco where it’s £1.65.

Iceland is also selling a 95g bar of the chocolate, but it’s on sale for £1.75 – 10p more expensive than Tesco.

Tesco shoppers can also get their hands on new “Made to Share” Cadbury 180g bars for £2.65.

The bars are available to buy across Express and Superstores and via the retailer’s website based on local availability.

The bars feature playful packaging that divides the chocolate into sections labelled with relatable scenarios like “who cooked”, “who cleaned” and “who ate”.

Chocoholics will be able to get their hands on new Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscoff within days too.

Cadbury confirmed last month the hybrid chocolate would be on shelves in just over a months’ time.

We’ve checked and they’re not on sale at the major supermarkets just yet, so it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled.

Walkers

Walkers has been teasing the return of Worcester Sauce crisps on social media

Walkers has brought back its legendary Worcester Sauce flavour crisps after stirring up speculation they would make a return online.

The popular flavour, which was axed two years ago, has made a return, but only since March 4, for five days.

That means shoppers have just five days to plan their trip to the Wests Midlands town.

Plus, they only available exclusively at Charlie’s Convenience Store, 59 Barbourne Road, Worcester.

Nestle

Nestlé Caramac chocolate bar and multi-pack.
Caramac fans were left devastated after finding out the bar would be axed

Nestle discontinued the Caramac bar in November 2023, citing dwindling customer demand and sales.

But it has since made sporadic appearances, including most recently on the Discount Dragon website.

Shoppers can pick up a multi-pack of 48 of the 30g bars for £18.99 instead of a recommended retail price (RRP) of £26.40.

Ferrero

Hand holding a package of Kinder Crunchy Cookies.
Shoppers can’t get enough of the new Kinder Crunchy Cookies

Shoppers have been rushing to their nearest B&M after Ferrero launched new Kinder Crunchy Cookies.

The cookies are made up of a mixture of milk and white chocolate chips, coming in a pack of eight.

The new sweet treat, scanning at tills for £2.99, is being advertised as the perfect accompaniment to a cold glass of milk.

Britvic

Tango Strawberry Smash sugar-free can.
Britvic has unveiled a new flavour of Tango – Strawberry Smash

Britvic has unveiled a new flavour of Tango – Strawberry Smash – but shoppers can only pick up the fizzy drink for a limited time.

The beverage combines sweet strawberry with tropical pineapple flavours for a tangy punch.

Shoppers can pick up the new drink across a host of supermarkets in can or bottle form.

We spotted a 500ml bottle on Snappy Shopper for £1.25 while Amazon is selling a 2litre bottle for £3.35.

Heineken

Pint of Murphy's stout beer on bar.
Heineken has brought back its Murphy’s Stout after three years away

Heineken has re-launched a new stout to rival Guinness, after three years off shelves.

The decision to revive Murphy’s comes amid unprecedented demand for the drink, with stout giant Guinness even facing shortages late last year.

Shoppers can get their hands on four and ten-packs of the 4% tipple, priced at £5 and £10, respectively.

Murphy’s has not been stocked in supermarkets since 2022, when it was in Tesco.

Before then, it was available from Asda in 2021 and Sainsbury’s in 2019.

Mars

Milky Way Crispy Rolls box.
Tesco shoppers can snap up the Milky Way Crispy Rolls

Mars’s Milky Way Crispy Rolls are back on shelves after being discontinued almost three years ago.

Tesco is selling the iconic chocolate in its Express stores, while stocks last, for 45p a pop.

Iceland also brought them back for a week only at the start of last month, alongside new Bounty and Twix versions.

Shoppers could pick up the three crispy rolls for 50p each or three for £1.20.

M&S

Chocolate Easter egg with orange candies and chocolate pieces.
M&S has unveiled a host of new Easter eggs

M&S has launched a series of new Easter eggs and shoppers can’t get enough of them.

This includes a new “Dippy Whippy” egg which comes packed with a mixture of orange mini eggs, orange jelly and marshmallow.

The 345g Easter Egg is priced at £12.

How to save on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

Airline with UK flights introduces new baggage size limit and it’s good news for hand luggage passengers

AN airline has introduced new luggage rules which is good news for passengers who travel with just hand luggage.

WestJet, which is the second largest in Canada, has said it is changing the size of its accepted hand luggage for all its flights to make flying much easier for passengers.

WestJet’s hand luggage size is now in-keeping with that of most airlines[/caption]

WestJet has always had a unique hand baggage size and only accepted bags the size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm or under on its flights.

Compared to the average airline, the measurements are quite different, making it difficult for flyers to find a suitable hand luggage case or bag.

However, the airline has said it will be changing the rules, with its new sizing aligning with the majority of commercial airlines, like Delta.

Their new measurements are 53 cm x 23 cm x 38 cm, which include wheels and handles.

The airline has also added an inch to the accepted height to ‘increase stowage capacity, improve cabin comfort, and enhance bin functionality’.

New WestJet baggage sizing devices will be delivered to airports by March 13.

However, bags of the new and old sizes will be accepted until May 6 when the new rules officially come into effect.

Talking about the changes, Colleen Tynan, WestJet vice-president of experience management said: “We expect this change will help streamline check-in and boarding times by eliminating the inconsistency between WestJet and several other carriers.

“Introducing a new standard size ensures more bags fit on more flights, so we expect this to have a big impact on the overall experience.”

The adjustments will also apply to WestJet’s new Sunwing aircraft which will join their fleet in spring.

WestJet also offer a budget-friendly ticket for its customers[/caption]

WestJet operates flights from the UK to Toronto and Vancouver with additional seasonal flights to the likes of St John’s, Newfoundland, and Labrador.

They also offer a ticket option which is budget-friendly and has no frills whatsoever.

Announcing their cheapest ticket last year, WestJet allows customers to fly with only personal items that fit under the seat in front.

You can take a check-in bag, but that would be at an additional cost.

Passengers who decide to fly with the budget option will also not be able to choose their seats.

Upon booking, passengers would be automatically assigned their seats, and not necessarily with their travel partner either.

The cheapest ticket we found through WestJet was a return from London Gatwick to Vancouver for £302.76pp.

This budget airline is set to launch its first-ever UK flights this summer with a long-haul route.

And the UK’s biggest regional airline will launch a new flight from Southampton airport.

UK’s Eurovision 2025 act confirmed and song revealed a year after Olly Alexander came 18th and was branded ‘a flop’

UK’s Eurovision 2025 act Remember Monday have revealed the song they will be performing with at the competition.

The Sun revealed last month that girl group Remember Monday will be flying the flag for Brits come May.

The country trio joined Scott Mills in the Radio 2 studio to play their anthem What the Hell Just Happened?

The band told listeners: “Honestly, we feel like we’re on another planet, nothing’s sinking in, to be honest I think it’s just sunk in then, the lead up… You said ‘the global stage’ and I was like, ‘wait, what!’

Band member Lauren Bryne said: “We met at sixth form college a few years ago and, essentially, we always had free periods on a Monday which is when we just used to get together and sing and then that turned into us singing every single day of the week and not going to our classes and our teacher used to come and find us in random spare classrooms and knock on the door and be like, ‘Girls are you coming into class today?’ and we were like, ‘No Jenny, we’re just going to stay in here, sorry!’

“So we did that for years and years and it kind of became a little in joke that it was always happening on a Monday so that’s where Remember Monday was born and, yeah, about a year and a bit ago, we packed in the day job and went full time and it’s going OK! [laughs]. Here we are.

On hearing the song played live for the first time, they said: “That is crazy, we’ll cry later!”

Scott then got Jenny – their Performing Arts teacher from school – on the phone.

The host said: “They used to skip your class all the time?”

Teacher Jenny said: “Well yeah, but I used to let them get away with it ’cause they were that good… Congratulations girls I’m so thrilled for you. The song is amazing.”

The band continued: “You’re the reason we’re here together. We talk about you every single day, honestly, we genuinely do.”

Jenny praised the girls as a “natural talent, just incredible voices, incredible ears and just wonderful, lovely girls”.

The girls replied: Jennyyyyyy, we love you!

While Eurovision Rylan left a message saying: “Tell them I can’t wait for a night out with the girls!”

It’s a stark contrast to last year when Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander represented the UK with pop song Dizzy.

A source said: “As ever behind the scenes competition has been fierce to represent the UK.

“This year bosses have opted to shake things up and send a female trio, Remember Monday.

“The song is a stark change from Olly Alexander last year but the girls are sure to get the nation behind them.”

The British country pop trio is made up of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele.

It’s not the first time the group have found themselves in a televised singing competition.

In 2019 they took part in The Voice and caught the eye of BBC Radio 2 Breakfast host Scott Mills when they were played on the station last year.

They have also performed at a string of major UK events including Country to Country, The Long Road and Buckle and Boots.

Remember Monday have also amassed a following of 524,000 followers on TikTok alone.

His wife Tara Maynard was left in tears as she returned home to find it ransacked.

Tara, a fashion designer, revealed to her 675,000 Instagram followers that her house had been broken into.

She fought back the tears as she described the extent of the burglary, with countless watches and designer handbags taken from the property.

Even her antibiotics were stolen and her two boys’ safes broken into – stealing the money they had been saving up.

Tara, 35, said in an Instagram video: “Well I tell you what working hard gets you girls, and going out for a meal for your son’s 12th birthday – to come home to be absolutely everything has been taken, like everything.

“We’ve been out for an hour for Trey’s birthday and they’ve literally ransacked the whole place.

“Like even the little kids’ safes with the cash in that they’ve been saving for Christmas and birthdays, they’ve literally taken the lot.’

“Addressing her followers, she said: ‘”If anybody hears or they’re selling any of my bags girls, everybody knows what I’ve got.

“You all know what jewellery I’ve got. Then please, please tell me.’

Showing how the burglars even broke into their sons’ money boxes, she added: ‘Like, what scum on earth?’

The family had been out celebrating their son Trey’s 12th birthday at the time of the incident.

Maynard, 38, said he heard footsteps in the gravel as they returned home – but their neighbours were not aware of the burglary taking place.

A camera was later found in the bushes outside their home which is believed to have been used to spy on them.

In another video taken in the morning after the burglary Tara again broke down in tears as she described the “eerie feeling” she has been left with.

Police are investigating the incident as Tara spoke about needing her mum with her to re-enter the property.

Both Maynard and Tara have put out appeals to the public to keep an eye out for the belongings, with at least 30 handbags, as well as Cartier and Rolex watches and three Van Cleef bracelets all gone.

Tara believes a “highly professional” gang targeted their home following a spat of burglaries in the Cheshire area.

Jack Grealish fell victim to a burglary nearby on December 27 when he was playing for Manchester City.

TV star’s child dresses up as Claudia Winkleman for hilarious Book Day snap – can you guess who it is?

A TV star’s child has dressed up as Claudia Winkleman in a hilarious World Book Day snap, leaving fans so impressed.

The adorable tot looked so cute in his outfit and the star had really gone all out for her little boy.

Fans said the resemblance was uncanny[/caption]

The star’s son had perfectly recreated Claudia’s long fringe, tan and heavy eyeliner.

He sported The Traitors presenter Claudia’s iconic hairstyle, a black cloak and a white dress.

The little one also had heavy black eye makeup and held up a book with The Traitors written on it, in a bid to look as much like Claudia as possible.

And he certainly pulled it off, with fans in hysterics at the amazing dress up.

In another clip, he was seen turning around and pulling her hood down and in another snap he could be seen holding up a lantern.

It’s none other than Gogglebox star Izzi Warner’s little boy Bobby, and she penned as the caption: “World book day and the most convincing @claudiawinkle I have ever seen!

“We have never laughed so much on a school morning, didn’t even have to buy any make up turns out I’m the same shade as Claudia herself.”

Fans and friends were loving it, as Sian Welby penned: “Ok, she actually looks more like Claudia than Claudia does.”

Scarlett Moffatt added: “This is truly amazing,” and Lisa Baggs wrote: “Omg this is brilliant !”

And Claudia herself commented on the iconic photo, writing: “Amazing,” followed by a heart emoji.

Izzi responded to her: “Thank you! Bobs is happy to step in any time you need cover,” to which Claudia said: “DONE XXX”

It comes as proud mum Izzi set tongues wagging after posting pics of her in Paris with a mystery man.

The TV star revealed she had split with her partner of ten years back in October.

However, on an Instagram post in January, the star was seen celebrating her birthday in the City of Light and Love.

She captioned the post, which she shared with her more than 400,000 followers by saying: “Had the best time birthday-ing in Paris.”

However fans were quick to spot the new man as Izzi was pictured linking arms with him as they posed for the camera by the Eiffel Tower.

One fan commented: “Who’s the new man?” while another said: “New boyfriend?”

She also posted a picture of the pair together in her round-up of 2024 alongside the caption: “2024 was certainly one to remember for all of the right reasons. Here’s to making more memories with all my favourite people in 2025.”

The TV star, 30, and her ex-parter Grant had been together for ten years and share their 10-year-old son Bobby and four-year-old daughter Bessie Rose.

She announced their separation publicly while speaking to her sister, Ellie, as they sat on the couch during an episode of the hit show.

And while fans were shocked to hear the news of their split, they were more shocked to find out the couple had secretly split 18 months prior.
