DONALD TRUMP was labelled a “freak” and a “dirty b*****d” after Coleen Rooney opened up on her visit to the White House.

Wayne had spells as a DC United player and manager during the President-elects first spell in office.

The Rooney family were invited to the White House for a Christmas event many years ago.

Coleen, Wayne and their kids Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass mingled with the Trump, his wife Melania and son Barron.

Lifting the lid on the experience, she told SkyBet‘s Stick to Football podcast about what businessman-turned-politician said about her.

Coleen revealed he turned to Barron and muttered: “See, I told you all the soccer players get the good-looking girls.”

It led to podcast co-host and England legend Ian Wright calling Trump a “freak”.

While in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Coleen shared the same story and added: “I told my mum and mum was like, ‘dirty b*****d’.”

On being greeted by Trump, Wayne’s childhood sweetheart explained: “It was my first meeting with him. It was like, ‘Hello, nice…’ and then that was it.

“We didn’t spend that much time there.

“We went with the four kids, but I just remember my kids sitting – there were tables and chairs and everything – and they were eating chicken nuggets on the floor under the table.

“It was a bit of a strange set-up, but it was an experience.”

Wayne Rooney's record-breaking career

WAYNE Rooney took the football world by storm when he made his debut for 2002 with Everton.

He quickly became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer aged 16 years and 342 days and was named the BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year.

The striker joined Manchester United in 2004 and spent 13 years at Old Trafford. He went on to make 559 appearances for the Red Devils and scored 253 goals. To this day he is still the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Following his spell with United, Rooney returned to Everton for a season. He also spent one-season stints with D.C. United and Derby County at the end of his career.

As well as his impressive club career, Rooney is also England’s second-highest goalscorer with 53 goals in 120 appearances, behind only Harry Kane.

After hanging up his boots, the England icon turned to a career in management.

He took charge of Derby County in 2020 and managed to just about save the club from relegation from the Championship at the end of his first season.

However, with Derby handed a 21-point deduction the following campaign, he was unable to keep them up again and subsequently left.

Then came a 15-month spell in charge of MLS side D.C. United. He failed to impress during his time in Washington and parted ways with the club at the end of the 2023 regular season.

Rooney was controversially handed the Birmingham job in October 2023, replacing John Eustace with the club doing well and sixth in the Championship table.

However, in 15 games he suffered nine defeats and managed just two wins. He was sacked in January 2024 with Birmingham down in 20th. The club were relegated to League One at the end of the campaign.

He returned to management in May with Plymouth Argyle but managed just five wins in 25 games. The United legend now finds himself out of work once again.

SLIGO ROVERS have snapped up Waterford goalkeeper Sam Sargeant following the departure of Ed McGinty to Shamrock Rovers. 

McGinty, who was on loan from Oxford United, has joined the Hoops on a permanent deal that left boss John Russell without an experienced goalkeeper for the new season.

And having tied down promising teenager Conor Walsh to a new deal last week, he has now added Sargeant to his squad. 

The 27-year-old Londoner was out of contract at Waterford and jumped at the chance to move to the Showgrounds, having impressed in his 18 months in the League of Ireland.

He said: “I spoke with John (Russell) a few times over the phone and I had little doubt where I wanted to be after that.

“I was very impressed with his whole approach. We had conversations about how I will contribute to the team. 

“I feel it’s a really good fit and I can’t wait to get working with the staff up here as I feel I can really progress along with the team. 

“There’s a lot of experience already here. The players that the gaffer has signed from last year’s squad have proved already that they are more than good enough for this league. I am looking forward to building relationships with all these players. 

“Sligo, the town and county is football mad and it’s all about Rovers here. It’s a big club and I want to build on what I’ve already achieved in Ireland and help bring some success to Sligo.

“We can go as far as we want next season. If we stick together as a group and give everything we have, we know we can compete with anyone in this country.”

Sergeant joined Waterford midway through the 2023 season from Leyton Orient and was first-choice until a broken hand last July put him out of the remainder of the year.

He said: “The injury came at an unfortunate time really. I was in really good form when it happened and it just happened out of the blue. 

“As much as I hated being out injured, it did give me the chance to work on other aspects of my game in terms of strength and leadership and now I’m fully recovered and feel stronger than ever before.

“I want to be a leader both on and off the pitch and use my experience in as positive a way as I can. It’s become a big part of my game since coming into the league.”

TOMMY FURY has urged Conor McGregor to snub a fight with KSI and step in the boxing ring with him instead.

But yesterday fresh reports emerged casting doubts over Paul’s involvement.

The influencer has become a big player in the world of WWE.

And following the sport’s major move to Netflix, Paul is now considering devoting all his time to wrestling.

That has left a void to fill, with fellow influencer and Paul’s former boxing opponent KSI offering to step in.

He tweeted McGregor yesterday: “Let’s make this a reality.”

But now, pro boxer Fury reckons he should get a money-spinning shot instead.

Dismissing KSI’s credentials, the former Love Island star reached out to McGregor on social media.

And he told the Dubliner that if he wants a proper scrap, he knows where to find it.

Fury said: “Don’t waste your time with beaten fighters.

“Fight the man who’s beaten them all and still has his 0. I’ll be waiting…”

Fans reacted with delighted to Fury’s proposal.

Another declared: “Watch out Tommy.”

One noted: “Make it happen.”
