Rangers legend Barry Ferguson ‘meeting Ibrox chief Patrick Stewart about stunning return’

BARRY FERGUSON could be closing in on a stunning return to Ibrix, according to a report.

The former Rangers captain is one of the names in the frame to take over from Philippe Clement on an interim basis.

Clement, 50, was axed by Gers chiefs last night and the club have now started their hunt for his replacement.

CEO Patrick Stewart and chairman Fraser Thornton will lead the search, with many names already being linked with the vacant position.

Steven Gerrard is the favourite to take over, while SunSport understands former Rangers defender Russell Martin is also a leading contender after being sacked by Southampton.

But it’s suggested another former Light Blues man is also at the forefront of discussions.

Ferguson, 47, is believed to be one of the names Stewart and Thornton are considering.

Reports last night claimed the ex-Gers skipper was the frontrunner to replace Clement on an interim basis.

Now it’s being reported there’s been a further development with Ferguson.

TalkSPORT presenter Jim White has suggested the former Clyde, Kelty Hearts and Alloa Athletic boss will meet Ibrox chairman Stewart for talks this morning.

Speaking on this morning’s breakfast show with Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling, White said: “Barry Ferguson, a Rangers legend, will meet with Patrick Stewart this morning with an eye to the manager job until the end of the season.”

White went on to suggest that Ferguson will be joined by fellow ex-Gers Neil McCann and Billy Dodds in the dugout should he get the job.

SunSport understands however that McCann may not be part of the interim coaching team should Ferguson get the nod.

McCann, 50, was highly critical of Clement’s tactics over the weekend as Rangers crashed to a 2-0 defeat to St Mirren at Ibrox.

He dismissed Clement’s claims regarding his players being too nervous during the match and instead blamed the manager’s “negative” style for the shock result.

He said: “It’s a huge concern. You can talk about nerves but this is negative and that’s got to come from the manager.

“That ball should be going down the line to keep St Mirren in, this negative throwback from Jefte allows St Mirren to do that aggressive press. Now Nsiala must find Raskin, Raskin’s asking for it but he has to demand it, want the ball there.

“Then it’s a rollback to Butland, then back to Nsiala, the first pass is to Jefte but he doesn’t and goes into Raskin. What has Butland got on then?

“You have to work on these things, if you’re going to play out from the back, you have to find solutions, you have to work on what-ifs.

“I feel that Rangers over the last few games, there’s a lack of spark. I don’t think it’s nerves, it has to be demanded from the sidelines.”

DETECTIVES have taken a step closer in solving the case of a mystery man found floating in a remote Welsh reservoir.

Claerwen Reservoir is the largest and most remote of the Elan Valley dams in Powys – but around 55 people die in inland waters in Wales each year.

WHO IS HE? Mystery as man in £200 extra-large wetsuit found floating in remote Welsh reservoir with NO belongings, clothes or a car
Pictured: Dyfed-Powys Police is continuing efforts to identify the body of a man who was found in the Claerwen Reservoir, Powys on Friday, 18 October 2024.
Officers attended the reservoir after receiving a call from a member of the public who had seen a body in the water at just before 8.30am. It is estimated that the body could have been in the water for up to twelve weeks.
Detective Inspector Anthea Ponting, Senior Investigating Officer said: "I would like to thank everyone who has already came forward with information following our previous appeals.

A mystery swimmer is yet to be identified four months after police pulled his body from a beauty spot reservoir. Puzzled officers have repeatedly appealed for information after the man - aged between 30 and 60 - was found dead. Police said the body may have been in the water for up to three months before it was pulled from the reservoir in the Elan Valley in mid-Wales. He was spotted wearing a Zone 3 swimming wetsuit popular with open water enthusiasts and triathletes. Detectives appealed for anyone who may have found clothes of belongings near the reservoir which could help in tracing him. The man could have been a holidaymaker visiting the area which is popular with day-trippers including walkers, cyclists and bird-spotters. Dyfed Powys Police said the body was found at Claerwen Reservoir by a passerby on Friday October 18 last year - but was still yet to be identified. After someone spotted the floating body last October, Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the scene.

There they found a highly decomposed person in a £200 extra large wetsuit with no belongings, clothes or car.

It’s thought the body could have been undiscovered for up to twelve weeks.

But now a post-mortem examination has confirmed the sex, age, race, height and weight of the person.

Senior investigating officer, detective inspector Anthea Ponting, told The Sun today: “A post-mortem examination has confirmed that the body is a white man, aged between 30 and 60.

“He is approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a Zone 3 Agile wetsuit, similar to the one pictured.

“The size of the wetsuit is XL, so the man might have been 6ft – 6ft5, around 202-220lbs with a 44–48-inch chest.

But despite such details being recovered, the identity of the man remains unknown.

DI Ponting added: “We have carried out numerous inquiries, including checking missing people records with other forces and conducting forensic inquiries both locally and wider in conjunction with law enforcement partners.

“Unfortunately, these have not led to the man being identified.

“We are keeping an open mind into the circumstances and continue to work towards finding out who he was, any family and what happened to him.

“We would still like to hear from anyone who has visited the Claerwen reservoir, or the surrounding area, between the beginning of July 2024 and October 18, and hasn’t spoken to police yet.

“We also continue to appeal for anyone who does have information – who thinks that something mentioned could relate to a missing person in their own life or who they may know – to come forward.”

But the DI also revealed to the BBC that it “is an unusual situation to be three or four months down the line” and to not have identified the person or their loved ones.

However, they do not believe criminal activity is involved.

Alan Austin, who chairs a local rambling group and regularly walks in the area, told the BBC he has “never” seen anyone swimming in the water of Claerwen Reservoir.

He added: “It can be extremely dangerous.

“The water can get very cold, water from the reservoir pours over the dams when it’s been raining.”

The Claerwen dam and reservoir were featured in the final series of the BBC show Top Gear with Richard Hammond.

Huge change to parking rules in major city with motorists soon to be stung with soaring £160 fines

Motorists could be slapped with staggering £160 fines after huge changes to parking rules.

The change will see penalty charge notices (PCNs) in a major UK city rising by £30.

Londoners already pay huge penalties if they are caught violating parking restrictions.

Charges are categorised into severe Band A fines and less severe Band B fines, with both categories having lower and higher tiers.

In higher charge Band A areas, drivers can see penalties of up to £130 and in Band B areas drivers can be charged up to £110.

However, a new proposal has been signed off by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan which will raise the fines.

Higher-level Band A charges will be increased to £160 and lower-tier fines will be raised from £80 to 110.

Band B charges will be increased too.

Higher-tier Band B charges will be raised to £140 and lower Band B charges will be raised to £90.

Bus lane and moving traffic penalties will also rise to £160.

The change comes after London Councils – the representatives for the capital’s local authorities – asked City Hall to stop “anti-social and obstructive parking”.

Ahead of the increase in fines, City Hall have said: “PCNs are a vital way we keep London moving by deterring inconsiderate driving and protecting road space such as disabled bays”.

A spokesperson for Sadiq Khan confirmed that the number of people receiving PCNs has increased by 50 per cent in the last 12 years, with enforcement costs also rising.

This has fuelled concern that the “penalty charge regime isn’t sufficiently recovering costs”.

The changes will need to be signed off by the Secretary of State for Transport Heidi Alexander.

Ms Alexander made headlines in December 2024, when she named South Western Rail as the first to be renationalised by Labour.

The government hopes that nationalising rail will improve performance, hold down fares and create a “system that the British public can trust and be proud of again”.

PCN rises in London

PCNs will rise in London as City Hall hopes to cover enforcement costs.

Here are all of the PCNs which will rise in London:

Band A:

Higher level, rising from £130 to £160

Lower level, rising from £80 to £110

Band B:

Higher level, rising from £110 to £140

Lower level, rising from £60 to £90

Bus lane and moving traffic penalties

These fares will rise from £130 to £160

British Gas is giving people free hot water as part of major new trial to slash bills

BRITISH Gas is trialling a new way to pump homes with hot water, which could drastically cut down household bills.

The energy giant, which powers about 7 million homes in the UK, is using the leftover energy from computer servers to heat water.

Computer servers can generate a lot of warmth.

All of the data they process makes the machines whirr and produce hot air.

Think about how hot your laptop can get – and then imagine a warehouse full of them. That’s a lot of heat.

And currently, most of that heat is being blown away by cooling fans inside the data centres.

Wasted heat is a problem for data centres, because it requires a lot of money and energy to cool.

But cloud computing provider Heata, which has partnered with British Gas, wants to put mini data processing units on hot water cylinders at home.

These units process Heata’s cloud computing workloads, while providing free hot water without using any gas.

The technology is expected to shave up to £350 off your annual hot water bill if you use electric, according to Heata, and up to £120 on gas-heated water.

It does mean you’ll have to install a hot water cylinder, however, as it can’t be used on a combi boiler.

The pair will be trialling this new method on 10 British Gas customers over the next three months.

“Innovative projects like this are another example of how the UK is becoming a leader in cutting carbon emissions,” Paul Lodwidge, Head of Energy Product & Propositions from British Gas, said in a statement.

The trial will help British Gas and Heata work out just how effective mini data centres at home could heat water, and slash energy bills.

The pair will also “co-develop customer propositions in 2025”, a statement from Centrica, British Gas’ parent company, said.

Demon appliances that drain your energy on standby

Appliances around the home can quietly guzzle energy adding extra pounds to your bill when you are not getting any use from them.

This can cost you a typical £45 a year but can be even more if you have a lot of appliances plugged in.
Here is a list of appliances that you should make sure are fully switched off or unplugged at the mains when not in use.

  • Television

Leaving your TV on standby all the time can feel easier, but is costing you in the long term.

  • Desktop computer

Keeping your computer switched on or on standby when you’re not using it wastes energy

  • Microwave

A microwave is one of the appliances that will eat up electricity when left on standby. Unplug it from the walls and you could save money on your energy bill

  • Outdoor security lights

Security lights can deter burglars by turning on automatically once someone is nearby.

But oversensitive lighting that turns on too easily can see you pay extra.

  • Electric towel rail

An electric towel rail can warm up your towels or help dry your clothes.

But there is a price to pay for this comfort, especially if it isn’t being used.

She described Victoria Beckham as her “style icon”[/caption]

Speaking to The Times, the brunette beauty, who describes her style as “muted” as a result of her love of “classic styles and comfort”, explained that she admired her mother, aunt and sisters’ style when growing up.

She confessed: “I never had to look far for an example of what a woman should be. I had really great role models in my family.

“My aunt was well travelled and always wore a scarf and perfume. She was – and is – so glamorous. That’s what I wanted to be like.”

Whilst she looked up to her family members for fashion advice, now, her celeb pal, Victoria Beckham, 50, is her go-to.

Eva beamed: “[Victoria Beckham] is my style icon. I aspire to be like her one day, and I never will.”

For those eager to look inside Eva’s wardrobe, you’re sure to find “way too many” pairs of white trainers.

But whilst Eva’s businessman husband José Bastón thinks her collection of similar shoes is excessive, the Desperate Housewives star claimed: “But I need them. I can’t say out loud how many I have.”

When it comes to the secret to red carpet dressing, Eva praised her hair, make-up and stylist team, as she explained: “They put so much thought into it that I don’t have to. They pull photos and references and create the illusion that is Eva Longoria.”

But for those without a load of professionals to hand, if you want great style in your forties, Eva advised: “I think less trendy, more classic and more investment pieces that will last longer. You can justify that expense over the years of wear you’ll get out of it.”

Whilst Eva is often dressed up to the nines for posh celeb events, when it comes to dropping off her six-year-old Ssantiago Enrique Bastón to school, Eva simply confirmed that her style is “sweats or yoga pants.”.

But despite keeping it simple for the school run, when it comes to her skincare routine, you can expect a host of pricey gadgets.

The beauty enthusiast opened up: “I’m currently obsessed with the TheraFace Pro [£375]. It’s this machine, it turns hot and cold and you can de-puff your eyes. It is the greatest invention ever.

I’m Mexican so I have great hair

Eva Longoria

“I also like the Facify Beauty Wand [£345] to use on my face.”

But where her luscious locks are concerned, she simply confirmed: “Well, I’m Mexican so I have great hair.”

2025 will focus on skin repairing and texture-enhancing treatments.

Skincare

Rejuran treatment, a celebrity-endorsed procedure, will see a rise in demand this year as many seek to enhance the skin’s appearance. The procedure entails injecting polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA to enhance skin texture and elasticity. “Rejuvenation is expected to dominate 2025 skincare trends as many seek to a achieve flawless, youthful complexion.

Skincare routines will also include back-to-basic products for a simplified routine.

Ginseng cleansing oil and panthenol cream are among the trending products for 2025. The cleansing oil is excellent for dissolving makeup and impurities without clogging pores and is enriched with nourishing properties to leave the skin feeling and looking refreshed and radiant.

Peel-off lip stains circulated the beauty industry in 2024 and are expected to dominate in 2025. The growing popularity of this product is due to its ability to provide long-lasting, transfer-proof colour to lips, enhancing a natural aesthetic. Additionally, cherry-coded aesthetics are expected to be everywhere this year as the deep, rich hue can be achieved using peel-off lip stains or bold lip looks for a dramatic effect.

Nails

2025 will be another year of countless, show-stopping nail trends. Goddess Nails and Aura Nails deserve an honourable mention as these designs channel an ethereal, celestial aesthetic for bold, self-expressing nails.

And although we think Eva always looks fabulous whatever the occasion, the savvy mum was eager to open up on her biggest outfit regret which still haunts her, all 20 years later.

Reflecting on the 2005 red carpet, Eva shared: “The first time I went to the Cannes Film Festival sticks out. I went to Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and bought a $39 [£31] dress because I was told I needed a dress.

“It looked amazing and people were like, “Who are you wearing?” I thought, why are they asking me that? It was this gold knit dress and even L’Oréal were like, “Maybe next time we style you.” I really didn’t understand the gravity of that red carpet.”

Bonnie Blue is back at taking the virginities of ‘barely legal’ men after being banned from AUS for similar stunt

CONTROVERSIAL OnlyFans model Bonnie Blue has claimed she will be doing another sick Spring Break challenge this year.

The 25-year-old, who left social media users stunned after uploading a cryptic ”cravings” post on Instagram last week, was banned from Australia for a similar stunt in 2024.

The porn star publicly advertised her unique service before getting banned from Australia[/caption]

The notorious Brit porn star sparked backlash after getting lads to queue up at British universities to have sex with her while she filmed the romps – and planned to do the same Down Under.

Bonnie, from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire, is known for sleeping with 18-year-olds to “help them lose their virginity” and recording it for her OnlyFans page.

Her sick stunts, which included attending Nottingham Trent University and offering students sex if they let her film the bizarre encounters, has led her to be branded as a “predator” by many critics.

Bonnie had planned to visit a uni on Australia’s Gold Coast for free “sex marathons” where she’d bonk freshers and film the X-rated sessions before flogging the footage online.

However, her plans suffered a huge blow after her visa was cancelled by the Department of Home Affairs on November 7.

Since then, the 25-year-old has allegedly broken the world record after she claimed to have bedded over 1,000 men in just 12 hours earlier this year.

And now Bonnie has revealed she has some mega plans set for this year already.

”Okay, so at last Spring Break I took so many virginities and saw so many different sized penises – and I cannot wait to do the same this year,” she told her followers on Instagram.

”And I’m even going to give a big present to the smallest [penis].”

This comes just days after Bonnie revealed that she is not pregnant.

She also said that the rumours had been started by “the media”, and she had no idea what she was being asked for a comment for when initially approached.

But as the speculation continued to swirl, Bonnie decided to try and start “giving back”.

“So the last 24 hours I’ve hinted at being pregnant,” she said.

“I have never confirmed I was pregnant because I would never, ever lie about pregnancy,” Bonnie added, saying that doing so would be a “step too far”.

Asked why she thinks it’s too far, Bonnie explained that she herself went through a period of trying to get pregnant for a “long amount of time”.

Who is Bonnie Blue?

Born in May 1999, Bonnie – whose real name is Tia Billinger – grew up in a small Derbyshire village, and attended the Friesland School in the village of Sandiacre.

She has two half-siblings – a sister and a brother – who have always remained out of the public eye.

She never knew her biological father, and considers stepfather Nicholas Elliott her dad.

Bonnie also became something of a dance star in her local area, and competed in the British Street Dance Championships alongside her sister back in 2015.

She also had a part-time job at Poundstretcher as a teenager.

After school, she began working in recruitment.

In October 2022, Bonnie married Oliver Davidson, who she had started dating when she was just 15.

Once they were married, they moved to Australia, where Bonnie continued working in recruitment.

However, it was in Australia that she decided to pursue a different line of work, and tried her luck as a ‘cam girl’ – crediting Oliver for giving her the confidence to enter the adult entertainment world.

She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, and was soon making £5,000 a week.

But while her work life was going from strength to strength, her relationship was crumbling, and she and Oliver split after almost a decade together.

She moved over to OnlyFans following her cam girl success, and once again found fame on there.

She quickly became a favourite on the site, especially thanks to her “niche” of sleeping with young male students – such as when she bedded 158 students during Nottingham Trent University’s freshers week in September 2024.

Bonnie is now estimated to be worth £3 million, and makes around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans.

Her family are also supportive of her work, with mum Sarah Billinger even claiming she’s her daughter’s PA, and helps clean up after Bonnie’s events – as well as handing out condoms to young clients.

In January 2025, Bonnie claimed to have broken the world record for the most amount of sex in 12 hours, after apparently sleeping with 1,057 men from 1pm to 1am at a secret London event.

“And it was honestly like the most lonely experience,” she sighed.

“Because you don’t really tell family and friends – it’s not something like that’s spoken about much.

“So if I was to have seen someone joking about pregnancy I wouldn’t have seen the funny side of it.”

Bonnie also revealed that the expense of the process of trying to get pregnant was immense, and even shelling out on pregnancy and ovulation tests, plus the vitamins and supplements she was advised to take, was a pricey process.

“It’s hard and then you see all these other people getting pregnant or people joking about it, and it’s something… l as a woman you’re like why can’t I get pregnant, I should be able to get pregnant.

“So yeah I knew like my only sort of options was potentially IVF or looking other options, and I didn’t have the money for that.”

Documentary maker Josh Lee Spooner then said that he and Bonnie’s team had suggested some things to the creator to do with the pregnancy “prank”, which she had turned down due to her “respect for women”.

‘Pay for somebody’s IVF journey’

The comment was possibly referring to Bonnie’s adult creator rival Lily Phillips, who posed with a large “baby bump” last week and started rumours that SHE’S pregnant.

Bonnie went on to say that with the “media attention and the extra income I have had over the last few days” she has decided to “pay for somebody’s IVF journey”.

“I want to do good and I want to do better,” she continued.

“I want to pleasure people – and I don’t just mean guys -and yeah I think paying for someone’s IVF journey is something I’m passionate about, something I want to do, and something that’s going to be good to do with my money.”

Bonnie insisted she “doesn’t mind the hate” or being “judged” because that means she’s then able to fund someone else’s IVF process.

“So yes I bonk barely legals, yes I will drain your husband on a regular basis – especially when you’re not doing it – but I also want to do other things like pay people’s IVF journey,” she said.

Bonnie went on to ask women or couples looking to start IVF to drop her a message on Instagram to let her know about their “journey” and “situation”.

As for how she’s planning to choose the lucky recipient of her funds?

“Maybe I should start a queue,” she laughed.

“An IVF journey queue.”
