When is Scottish Cup semi-final draw as Celtic and Hibs bid to join Aberdeen and Hearts in semi finals

THIS SEASON’S Scottish Cup hopefuls are heading back to Hampden.

Teams will do battle at the National Stadium once this weekend’s quarter-final schedule is complete and the semi-final pairings are made.

The entrant numbers have dropped into single figure territory since the tournament took off way back in August with the qualifiers.

And that means we’re now at the business end of the competition.

From 130 teams involved the last eight are becoming the final four and taking a place in the hat for semi-final weekend in April.

Among them could be some history.

Livingston have never won the Scottish Cup, while Aberdeen have had a fairly long wait of 35 years too.

Hibs, St Johnstone and Hearts have all won the trophy this century and holders Celtic are still aiming to defend their trophy this weekend.

But there are seven rivals bidding to topple them and each is aiming for a spot in the semi-final draw and the coveted place on the pitch when the tournament turns back to Hampden.

The Jambos were first to book a place in Mount Florida next month with a 3-1 win over Dundee at Tynecastle on Friday night.

And Aberdeen shrugged off the challenge of Queen’s Park in straightforward manner with a 4-1 win over the Spiders at Pittodrie on Saturday afternoon.

In the meantime, here are all the details you need ahead of this weekend’s games and the draw to set up the semi-finals of this season’s Scottish Cup.

When is the Scottish Cup semi-final draw?

  • The Scottish Cup draw for the semi-finals take place on Monday – March 10.
  • The draw will follow the last match of the quarter-final weekend – Livingston v St Johnstone.
  • That kicks off at 7.45pm so the draw will be 9.30pm – at the earliest.
  • If extra-time is needed it could be after 10pm or even later if the clash requires penalties.

Can I watch the Scottish Cup semi-final draw?

  • Yes. It will be shown on the TV coverage after the match with BBC Scotland holding the rights to Livi v St Johnstone.
  • The game, and therefore the draw, will be shown on BBC Scotland channel.

Who is in the draw?

  • Neil Critchley’s Hearts are through after a 3-1 win over Dundee on Friday night – and they’ve just been joined by Aberdeen.
  • The winner of each quarter final will earn a place in the hat.
  • Quarter final games have been spread over the weekend, with one Scottish Cup clash on each day from Friday through to Monday.
  • The semi-finals are scheduled for March 19 and 20.

Teams involved

The semi-final draw will include the winner from each of the quarter final ties:

Most recent win of each quarter-finalist

  • 2024 – Celtic
  • 2021 – St Johnstone
  • 2016 – Hibs
  • 2012 – Hearts
  • 1990 – Aberdeen
  • 1910 – Dundee
  • 1893 – Queen’s Park
  • Never won – Livingston

Becky, as friends know her, will share an insight into her life as a mother to her five children and as a businessman with her new SKTL vodka brand with retired footballer Dennis Wise

She will pip her Wagatha Christie rival Coleen Rooney to the post by doing her own reality show.

A telly source said: “Rebekah’s gearing up for her best year yet, the show will showcase her at her best as a brilliant businesswoman, wife and mother.

“It will give the public an insight into her life and for them to see the real Rebekah.’

“She’s also in talks on other exciting projects this year which will show off Rebekah’s skills at connecting with people.

“Her vodka brand SKTL has launched an influencer campaign which is gaining traction too.”

Becky previously appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2017 and Dancing on Ice in 2021.

It comes after Coleen, wife of former England player Wayne, is in talks to do her own reality series with several streaming services.

Speaking to Sun last year Becky said: “Everyone seems to think I have this massive problem with Coleen going into the jungle.

“But do you know what? If you want to fan the fire, the flames are going to get higher. I wasn’t going to carry on talking about this, I had no intention of talking about it, but she clearly can’t let it go.

“I mean, we’ve done a book, we’ve done a documentary, we’re going into the jungle. What’s next — Dancing On Ice?

“She’s following in my footsteps. I think she always wanted my life.”

“You can’t pretend it wasn’t there”: Drive to Survive May Have Created Fake Drama, but I’m Glad Netflix Stood on Business With Christian Horner

Drive to Survive has always been steadfast in its ability to perceive drama at the heart of the show despite adding flair to the storyline. The Formula 1 docu-series has little to show for itself when it comes to authenticity and realism. However, it was not a total waste of resources as the show learned […]
