2 days agoNews 1Comments Off on I’ve lost 3.5st with Mounjaro… trolls say I look ‘too skinny’ & it ‘kills people’ but it’s got nothing to do with them
A WOMAN has shared her epic weight loss success story after shedding almost four stone thanks to Mounjaro injections.
But experts and NHS medics have warned about the dangers of fat jabs and say they shouldn’t be taken without a prescription.

Megan Stokes decided to jump on the fat loss jab trend after struggling with ”no confidence” and feeling ”fat”.
The 22-year-old stunner, who started using the fat loss jabs in November last year, began the weight loss journey at 13.1st.
The brunette beauty, who forks out £150 for Mounjaro, has dropped from a UK size 14 to a slimmer UK size 10 – or a size Large to a size Small.
”I am literally seeing my body back because of Mounjaro,” said Megan who pays for the jabs ”private”.
Since shedding the pounds, Megan has had to chuck away ”the majority” of her wardrobe, most recently being left with just one pair of jeans and joggers each, a top and one jumper.
The young beauty also regularly shares what she eats, as well as some of the grocery essentials she buys, such as lettuce, corn, pomegranate seeds, heaps of other veggies, and even pizza.
Some of the easy meals the mum swears by are ready-made protein shakes, a packet of Pop Chips for a simple snack idea and a hearty curry with rice.
But Megan’s jaw-dropping weight loss, which happened in less than a year, has had brutal trolls coming for the mum, as they insist she is now ”too skinny”.
Mounjaro, known as the King Kong of jabs, is to be rolled out on the NHS.
Sun GP Dr Zoe Williams says it can save the lives of people with “life-threatening levels of obesity”.
But the NHS website warns: “Never take an anti-obesity medicine if it has not been prescribed to you. These types of medicines may not be safe for you and can cause serious side effects.”
About half a million Brits take weight loss drugs – and that number is expected to double in the next year.
Mounjaro is said to suppress the appetite, making people feel fuller for longer.
Weight loss injections are licensed for patients with type 2 diabetes and to assist those who are clinically obese – with a Body Mass Index of 30 or over.
One jab is administered each week but the duration is dependent on a person’s weight.
The drugs can be lawfully supplied only when prescribed by a practitioner – like a doctor, nurse or a pharmacist-independent prescriber.
But many people are buying them through online pharmacies with insufficient checks.
Earlier this year, figures from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency revealed fat jabs had been linked to 82 deaths across the UK – something concerned viewers pointed out to the single mother.
Despite the huge risks, Megan, who’s nearly reached her ”goal weight”, is amazed by the results and her new shocking body transformation.
Posting on social media, the 22-year-old showed followers her figure before and after, leaving many totally gobsmacked.
While just last year Megan struggled with confidence and following a ”poor diet”, it’s all changed drastically over the last few months.
Making sure she consumes healthier foods, the mum is now ”confident” and said the makeover has discovered a ”better version” of herself.
However, the parent has also been very transparent about how she once ended up in the hospital after upping her Mounjaro dose.
According to the 22-year-old, who was taking 7.5mg of the fat loss jab at the time, she was experiencing nasty ”sulphur burps” just three hours after injecting herself.
”I was constantly burping, like a rotten egg, acidy – it was not nice.
”What was coming up my mouth was physically making me gag. I was then gagging so much, I was throwing up,” Megan bravely opened up in the video, adding she had ”never had” this kind of symptoms before.
How to blast belly fat WITHOUT going to gym or dieting
Chew your food
This mindfulness trick is used to focus your brain on the food you are eating – how it tastes and feels – rather than scoffing it in a hurry. If the brain does not register that you have eaten, you’ll soon crave more food.
Avocado a day
Eating avocado every day can fight visceral fat in women, which collects around the organs in the stomach and can lead to diabetes, heart attack, and some cancers, according to a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign study of 105 people.
Avoid fizzy drinks
Losing belly “fat” may just be a case of preventing bloating, which can be onset by fizzy soft drinks. Instead, keep hydrated with water.
People are more likely to crave junk food when they are sleep deprived because, not only are they in need of an energy boost, but their appetite hormones are all over the place.
Reduce stress
Stress causes an imbalance of hormones, particularly cortisol. This hormone has been linked with obesity and excess belly fat.
Find ways to reduce your stress to avoid the so-called ‘stress belly’.
”12 hours it carried on to the point I was literally throwing up the lining of my stomach, my sick was physically burning – it was like I had nothing left in my body.”
At 5am that morning, Megan – who had her grandparents looking after her – was rushed to the hospital where she stayed until 12pm that day.
There, she was given anti-sickness tablets, as well as medication to stop her going to the loo all the time.
Megan went on: ”It wasn’t all related to the Mounjaro injection – I did actually have a cyst that was erupted on my ovary.
”But the doctors said that because of Mounjaro, I’d lost too much weight too quickly, my body can’t handle it.”
The horrifying experience, which saw Megan pass out at the hospital twice, nearly caused her to ”end” her Mounjaro journey.
”I’m very real and I am very open. I am not going to sit here and say ‘Mounjaro is the best thing and it’s the easiest thing I’ve done’ – it’s not.
”It’s the best thing I’ve done in terms of losing weight – it’s not the best thing I’ve done now these symptoms have happened.
”Please, please, be careful, use it correctly.”
Big divide
Megan’s journey and experience – posted under the username @megxnjxde – has since sparked a huge divide online.
Whilst many praised the mum’s weight loss and thought she looked ‘’fabulous’’, not everyone was as keen on the idea of using fat loss jabs.
”Unreal, well done,” one praised the parent.
Another chimed in: ”Girl u look good ..ignore the haters ..I do..I’m so happy now I’ve lost weight it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
But one person wrote: ”the real work gets harder when you stop using it.”
”Is it really worth it?” a fourth wondered.
To all the haters on social media, Megan simply wrote: ”Leave me alone.”
The dark side of Mounjaro
Last year it was revealed that Scots nurse Susan McGowan, 58, died after taking low-dose injections of Mounjaro over a fortnight.
A probe also found that nearly 400 people have gone to hospital after taking weight loss drugs.
Side effects include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea leading to severe dehydration.
But doctors say they have also seen “life-threatening complications”, including seizures, bowel obstruction and inflammation of the pancreas.
The makers of Mounjaro, Lilly UK, said patient safety is its “top priority”.
Lilly UK stressed: “Regulatory agencies conduct extensive independent assessments of the benefits and risks of every new medicine and Lilly is committed to continually monitoring, evaluating, and reporting safety data.
“If anyone is experiencing side effects when taking any Lilly medicine, they should talk to their doctor or other healthcare professional.”

MILLWALL fans stepped up their hate chants over the Liam Roberts incident with a series of sick songs over the injured Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.
PAMillwall fans here celebrate scoring in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Watford but other visiting supporters were also heard to aim chants at Jean-Philippe Mateta[/caption]
GettyLiam Roberts was given a six-game ban for this challenge on Crystal Palace attacker Mateta in the FA Cup the previous weekend[/caption]
The French striker was given oxygen before being taken to hospital and needed 25 stitches for a severe gash to his left ear, with Palace chairman Steve Parish describing the challenge as the ‘most reckless’ he had ever seen.
Roberts’ original suspension was for three games, but it was doubled after the FA demanded stronger action.
But Millwall fans were in no mood to back down during yesterday’s 2-1 win at Watford.
Every time a home player went down injured, they chanted: “Let him die.”
They also backed their keeper with: “One Liam Roberts, there’s only one Liam Roberts.”
There was also: “It isn’t enough, it isn’t enough – 25 stitches, it isn’t enough.”
The abuse piled on with: “Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, Mateta’s in A and E.”
There was also a minute’s applause for Roberts from the Millwall fans in the eighth minute – the time he was sent off at Palace.

The hate mob finally piped down to join in the celebrations when Josh Coburn headed Millwall’s 81st-minute winner.
Lions boss Alex Neil said after the Watford match: “Now we can draw a line under the Liam stuff.
“You know, we’ve supported Liam. Liam’s made a bad decision. He’s mistimed the challenge.
“I think it’s then been trial by media at that point afterwards, which we are not in control of.
“We’ve spoken to Liam. He’s fine. He understands. He spoke to me, and it’s done. Draw a line under it. Liam will serve a suspension. That’s the way it is, and then we just move on to the next game.”
Neil insisted that the controversy over Roberts had not affected the team.
“We don’t really get sort of caught up in that sort of stuff. Social media is not something I get involved in whatsoever. I get feedback so I’m conscious of what’s happening.
“But the last thing I need is to scroll through and know what some 14-year-old who lives at the bottom of the road thinks of me. I’m past that stage. So yeah, I’m not fussed.”
2 days agoNews 1Comments Off on Mystery deepens over mum-of-two, 30, who disappeared SEVEN years ago without a trace as detective launches fresh plea
INVESTIGATORS have launched a fresh appeal to find a Brit mum who shockingly vanished seven years ago without a trace.
Georgina Gharsallah, then 30, disappeared from her seaside hometown of Worthing, West Sussex, in broad daylight on March 7, 2018.
Prime Features AgencyGeorgina Gharsallah has been missing for nearly seven years[/caption]
Georgina was captured on CCTV inside a shop on March 7, 2018, the day she vanishedSussex PoliceCops uncovered another CCTV clip showing a woman believed to be Georgina walking with another female later on that same day[/caption]
She had left her mum Andrea Gharsallah‘s home on that spring morning and headed to a shop to get her phone fixed.
The mum-of-two was then supposed to go to the local JobCentre in the hunt for work and on to meet her dad Gasem – but she never showed up.
Nearly seven years on, cops are no closer to finding out what happened to Georgina.
Senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme has now launched a fresh plea to help find what happened to Georgina.
He wrote in a letter: “We’re asking you to do the right thing and share the information with us. Do it for yourself, to be free from that burden of knowledge.
“Do it for Georgina’s family and friends, to ease the anguish of not knowing what happened to her. Do it for Georgina, because she deserves justice.”
Georgina was captured on CCTV at around 10 in the morning she disappeared.
It shows her entering the Clifton Food and Wine shop in Clifton Road, Worthing, where she asked for help with her phone.
The owner spoke to her for around five minutes before directing her to a nearby phone shop, but she never made it there or visited the JobCentre.
Tracking of her mobile phone at the time showed it left the network shortly after 11:30 am – while still connected to a local mast in Worthing.
She was next seen in an eight-second CCTV clip walking with another woman – her last verified sighting.
Georgina’s family were not initially worried as she had drifted between friends in Brighton and a former partner.
But when she failed to make arrangements for her two young sons, who are now teenagers, she was reported missing.
After a police investigation, the case was recorded as a homicide in 2019.
Officers said there was “no proof of life” although admitted they have no evidence of what happened to her.
Sussex police's letter in full
SENIOR senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholm made a fresh plea to find the missing mum.
“Seven years. Seven long years, you’ve kept a secret that is causing so much pain and heartbreak. Isn’t it time you gave it up?
“Georgina is loved and missed by so many people – her mother, her father, her children, her sisters, and her friends.
“They are desperate for answers about what happened to her on this day in March 2018. Don’t you think they deserve to know?
“Put yourself in their shoes. They’ve endured sleepless nights waiting for Georgina to come home. They’ve replayed conversations and moments spent with Georgina, not realising at the time they would be the last ones before she disappeared.
“They’ve not been able to move forward with their lives for fear of leaving Georgina behind. Imagine if that was someone you loved – how would you cope with such torment?
“You have the power to change that. The information you have could bring an end to all the unanswered questions and provide some form of closure to Georgina’s family. Keeping that to yourself is a lot to have on your conscience, isn’t it?
“We know you might be scared, but that’s why we give people the option to report anonymously through Crimestoppers. No one ever needs to know the information came from you.
‘You might not know the whole truth, and you might think the small snippet of information you have is irrelevant. It’s not.
“Are you protecting someone? If so, ask yourself the question – would they do the same for you if things got tough or the tables were turned?
“We’re asking you to do the right thing and share the information with us. Do it for yourself, to be free from that burden of knowledge.
“Do it for Georgina’s family and friends, to ease the anguish of not knowing what happened to her. Do it for Georgina, because she deserves justice. What’s stopping you?”
No trace of her has ever been recorded despite a £20,000 reward, Crimewatch appeals and a Crowdfunded campaign by her family.
However, a second grainy CCTV footage was released showing a woman who could be Georgina walking through the town with another woman at around 3.30pm on the same day.
“We have no idea who the other woman is at all. Nobody’s come forward,” says Andrea.
Andrea has been plagued ever since by horrific thoughts of what has happened to her daughter – with armchair detectives spouting theories.
Flurries of grisly messages from people claiming to know what happened to Georgina have continuously been sent to Andrea.
Some suggested she was butchered and burned by a drugs gang, who then scattered her remains “all over”.
Andrea has pleaded with online sleuths to stop spreading stories that “are not supported by evidence”.
She said: “Whatever theories any of you may think you have come up with, there is absolutely nothing to confirm or corroborate those.
She said: “Whatever theories any of you may think you have come up with, there is absolutely nothing to confirm or corroborate those.
Mum’s agony
Andrea previously said her gut tells her that her daughter came to harm.
“I have gone through different stages. We had the trafficking [theory], the suicide…” says Andrea.
“Each one I have dismissed.
“A while back they thought she could have been trafficked out of the country, but other investigators said that’s very unlikely – they don’t traffick victims out, they traffick them in.”
Andrea recently said of Georgina’s disappearance: “Our lives have not been the same and never will be, for the emptiness of you not being here is with us every day.
“There are no words to say how much this has affected us, but I will never ever give up on you.”
Andrea also accused the force of failing to “conduct a proper CCTV search” around the time of Georgina’s disappearance, and of refusing to film a reconstruction for “strategic reasons”.
She claimed: “We’ve had to take the lead in the investigation and have been forced to because the police have been so reluctant to do the basics never mind go the extra mile.”
The mum staged her own video reconstruction of her daughter’s disappearance – with the help of former top Scotland Yard detective Clive Driscoll and investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre.
The pair managed to find an actress who looks just like Georgina for the shoot.
