Indie rock favourites announce major Glasgow show
AN indie rock band has announced a major Glasgow gig.
English rockers The Enemy will take to the stage at one of the city‘s most iconic music venues.
The trio, dubbed the love child of the “potent swagger of Oasis” and the “nervy passion of The Jam”, last played in Glasgow in 2022 as part of their sold-out reunion tour.



Best known for their hit We’ll Live and Die in These Towns, the Coventry group are now in the midst of writing and recording their fifth studio album.
The ensemble comprises lead singer and guitarist Tom Clarke, bassist Andy Hopkins and drummer Liam Watts.
They came together as fresh-faced 16-year-olds in 2006 and, within a year, had more than 20 tunes in their repertoire.
The Enemy have opened for indie icons Kasabian and If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next hitmakers the Manic Street Preachers.
They struck a major label deal with Warner Bros, and their song Saturday featured on EA Sports‘ FIFA 12 video game.
Their UK tour will see them hitting the stage in Oxford, London, Sheffield, Glasgow, and a host of other venues.
It will round off with a homecoming gig at the HMV Empire in Coventry.
The Glasgow date at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom marks the band’s sole Scottish show.
Scots fans have gone wild at the news, flocking to social media to express their excitement.
One wrote: “Buzzing! Glasgow again for us.”
Another chimed in: “The Enemy at The Barrowlands will be insane.”
The Enemy will play at the Barrowland Ballroom on Thursday, November 6.
Presale tickets are up for grabs on Wednesday, February 26 at 10am.
General tickets go up on Friday, February 28 at 10am.
