‘Absolutely nuts’ people cry as bride reveals her mother-in-law’s look for big day & how she interrupted the first kiss
AFTER getting back her wedding day photos, one woman realised her mother-in-law’s strange behaviour was captured during a pivotal moment.
The bride explained the different ways the groom’s mum attempted to ruin her special day.

Posting on the Reddit group Wedding Shaming, one unnamed user shared a photo from her wedding.
Making sure to keep faces out of the image, she used it to illustrate her mother-in-law’s bizarre carry on during the ceremony.
As well as her attention-seeking behaviour, the older woman wore a dress to match.
“Flashback to when my mother-in-law wore this to our wedding,” the poster wrote.
And if you thought you had a monster-in-law, this woman’s actions will have you hugging your husband’s mum the next time you see her.
The older woman can be seen wearing a floor-length white gown, which along with the bouquet she is holding in the image made her look like a second bride.
And according to the Reddit user, one feature of the dress made it all the worse.
“You could also see her purple thong underwear through the material,” she explained.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, the woman also decided to insert herself into the most intimate part of the ceremony.
After being declared husband and wife, the couple embraced each other for their first kiss.
But while their friends and family who surrounded them celebrated the moment, the groom’s mother made a strange move.
And it was even captured forever in the newly weds’ album dedicated to the big day.
The image shows the woman standing to the left of the pair as they shared a kiss.
“See her hand reaching out! This was during the kiss when she grabbed him so she could kiss him,” the bride explained.
And while people were shocked by the woman’s behaviour, the poster revealed it was completely in character for her.
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you're struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here's a few rules on what not to wear so you don't get in trouble.
- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
- Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream – even if it’s not.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.
According to the Reddit user, she has set out to upstage her other daughters-in-law before.
“She wore white to one other sister-in-law’s wedding too,” she revealed.
“The third sister-in-law, she approved of so she wore purple.”
She went on to share that her mother-in-law is no longer in their lives “for many reasons”.
Reddit users shared their thoughts on the wedding picture in the comments section.
“Came here to say ‘that possessive paw’. It’s so common! Absolutely nuts,” wrote one reader.
“Why the hell do mothers of sons do this? Do they think they are psychologically marrying their own son? It is so creepy,” said another person.
“This is not normal or appropriate behaviour. Someone needed to call her out on it, in a public way. She needs some kind of professional help to let go,” commented a third Reddit user.

I moved from a five-bedroom house into a small bungalow & struggled for storage until I discovered an £18 Amazon buy
TRYING to get onto the housing ladder can be tough – but managing to find a place with enough storage can be even harder.
Luckily, there are tips and tricks to help you make the most of your space.

And one mum recently learned a clever trick to help when it comes to storing her belongings.
Taking to the online forum Mumsnet, she asked other users of the social media site for help after downsizing her house.
She wrote: “I’ve moved from a five-bedroom house to a tiny bungalow, and there isn’t a cupboard (apart from the kitchen – and only three drawers in there).
“I’ve got all my bed linen in plastic boxes under the bed, and my shoes and boots are still in a box.
“I’ve bought a shelf unit from Ikea for the bathroom, so at least my towels are easy to access.
“I only brought my beds with me and had to buy all the furniture. Just wondered if anyone has anything they think is great for storage?”
Her post received lots of attention, with many people rushing to the comments section to share their recommendations.
One wrote: “If you are considering built-in cupboards at a later date, the IKEA Jonaxel range is good.
“Internal rails, wire basket drawers, shelves etc., but it is all for standing, so if you wanted a cheap option to suit for now that wouldn’t be wasted later, worth considering.
“The folding ottoman boxes you can buy on Amazon etc. are good.
“A big one for the end of the bed would hold loads.
“Can sit on them too and surprisingly sturdy.”
The recommended storage ottoman can currently be ordered from Amazon for £18.99.
Sized at 38 x 38 x 38 cm, it offers a 40L storage capacity, which is great for pillows, folded clothes, or bed linens.
Shoppers have praised the storage device on Amazon, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts, giving it a five-star review.
It’s foldable, so it doesn’t take up too much space while not in use
Customer review
One wrote: “I like this product for its inside space, and it was simple to assemble.
“Very sturdy and looks tidy in the room.
“Very good as a seat for doing make-up and great for keeping bits and bobs that you need to use on a daily basis, as you can hide them away in this box, preventing the flat/house from looking over-cluttered!
“Definitely glad I purchased this item, and it will be used for many years yet to come.”

Another added: “Looks good in my living room. We can sit on it, use it as storage, use it as a coffee table, or relax your foot on it.
“Very sturdy and value for money.
“This size is like two people sitting on it comfortably. It’s foldable, so it doesn’t take up too much space while not in use.
“Easy to use. The lid is sturdy and comfy also.”
A third chimed in: “Really big storage box basically.
“Easy to ‘assemble’ – just put the bottom flat and have a Velcro divider to place in the middle. Can also sit on it, which is very handy.”
Fridge or cupboard? The essential food storage guide
Foods must be stored correctly to keep them fresh and prevent the spread of bacteria.
Nutrition expert Birgit Brendel said bread will last longer when stored in the fridge or freezer.
However, this can compromise the flavour.
Storing in ceramic or pottery containers is an alternative that allows for air to flow easily and slow the growth of mould.
Robert Morris, managing director of food safety consultants, Complete Food Safety, revealed the best place to store fresh fruit and vegetables.
He said salad foods should be stored in the fridge drawer, but away from anything grown in the soil such as carrots, parsnips and beetroot.
Tomatoes are an exception to the rule as fridges can alter the natural ripening process and diminish their taste.
He also advised against putting avocados and bananas in the fridge as this will cause them to blacken quicker.

Arsenal splashed £1.2MILLION on mid-season Dubai trip that backfired massively with injury crisis worse than ever
ARSENAL splashed out £1.2million on their mid-season trip to Dubai, according to reports.
Mikel Arteta thought lightning would strike twice after seeing his side receive huge benefits from a warm-weather training camp last season.

However, this time around the trip turned into a disaster as Kai Havertz was ruled out for the season after tearing his hamstring.
Even before the 25-year-old got injured the Gunners were crying out for more firepower, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus all sidelined.
Arsenal chiefs failed to add another forward to their frontline in the winter transfer window after offering £40m for Aston Villa‘s Ollie Watkins late on.
Fans were not happy about the lack of a new arrival and were even more upset upon seeing the Havertz news due to it being another massive dent in their title hopes.
The Mirror revealed the trip cost a total of £1.2m, with the Arsenal squad and a huge number of backroom staff travelling via a privately chartered plane.
The trip was designed to be a mix of rest and recuperation, with the report saying they had only one day off during the entire six-day trip.
It was debated whether a mid-season trip overseas or a full week of rest at home would be more beneficial.
Ultimately, everyone involved enjoyed it and saw it as a major benefit and a valuable bonding exercise.

The cost of the trip is also mitigated by the club’s strong sponsorship links in Dubai, which would have offset some of the cost.
Arsenal’s attacking hopes were placed in the hands of midfielder Mikel Merino after he scored twice off the bench against Leicester to seal a 2-0 win.
However, the Gunners were hit by wet powder in the following home game against West Ham as they lost 1-0 to all but end their title hopes as they fell 11 points behind Liverpool.
They visit third-place Nottingham Forest tonight knowing they could fall 14 points behind the league leaders by the end of the night.
Arsenal will then face PSV away from home in the Champions League last-16.
