‘I’m weak for a denim dress’ cries shopper as she tries on new €45 midi denim piece from Zara with hidden styling detail
A FASHION fan has found a new must-have denim dress from Zara – and it has shoppers racing to the tills.
Shops across the country have been surprising fans with a whole new range of summery clothes in recent weeks.

A number of the pieces have already sold out online, and this one is set to follow.
Instagram user Aisling Larkin shared a short video to the platform for her followers, showing off her new find.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “I have never been more indecisive about a dress!”
“I think the length is throwing me – what do you think, is it a YES or a NO?”
In the video, Aisling can be seen wearing a gorgeous denim dress that reaches just above the ankles.
It features short sleeves and a plunging v-neckline, making it the perfect dress for the warmer weather.
The denim piece also has buttons up the centre, with a cinched waist creating a flattering silhouette.
In the comments section of the video, while replying to one commenter, Aisling let viewers in on a fabulous secret detail.
She said: “The buttons are fake; there’s a zip at the side.”
Another commenter wrote: “Love that on you, very flattering”.
In response, Aisling said: “The shape at the waist is gorgeous, and it’s only helped by the ruching and balanced shoulder; I think I love it for all those reasons.”
Another viewer reassured her that it’s very on trend, saying: “I love this, the longer length is more in now I think”.
Someone else said she looked “awesome”, while others said she looked “fab”.
The Midi Denim Dress is selling for just €45.95 in Zara.
It is available in sizes XS to XL, and is sure to be a spring staple.
In the official item description on the Zara website, fashion chiefs wrote: “Collared, v-neck dress with short turn-up sleeves. Fitted waist with gathers at the sides.
“Faux front buttons.
“Concealed zip fastening at the side.”
DUNNES LOOK
But if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, Dunnes Stores is also selling another denim midi-dress for a chic and elevated look.
The Belted Utility Denim Midi Dress is available in stores and online now.
It is priced at just €30 and comes in sizes XS to XXL.
The retailer said: “This lyocell denim utility dress is a lightweight piece that is perfect for transitional weather.
“Cut to a regular fit and a midi-length, it features a zip fastening, two hip pockets, and a self-tie belt for shaping.”
The dress can be worn with heels, trainers, or sandals depending on the occasion.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit.
Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.
During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.
Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.
The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.
“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.
“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”
The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.
They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.
“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”
Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.

Watch the dramatic moment Geordie Shore’s most bitter feud explodes and security rush in to hold rowing rivals back
GEORDIE Shore’s most bitter feud exploded and security had to rush in to hold rowing rivals back, on Tuesday night’s episode.
The huge row happened between Abbie Holborn and Chantelle Connelly, and saw the rest of the cast trying to break things up.
The cast have been out in Thailand filming, and all went along

Sitting in the bedroom Abbie confronts Chantelle over comments she’d made in the taxi home.
Abbie had been snogging Scotty T as they returned to their accommodation, and Chantelle could be heard making comments about it in the back of the car, to the other Geordie Shore cast members.
Sitting in the bedroom, Abbie turns to Chantelle and says: “You were saying ‘how do you feel knowing Scott wants to get with Chloe instead of you, how embarrassing.’”
Chantelle fired back: “It is embarrassing for you – Chloe can you back me up or not?”
Chloe Ferry can be seen sitting between the two girls, and tries to diffuse the situation.
But Abbie interjects: “Fight your own arguments, fight your own arguments. You’re just nasty.”
Chantelle can then be seen talking to the camera, and says: “I am f****** sick of Abbie sticking her nose in everyone’s business and God forbid anyone says anything about her.”
Kyle Christie and the rest of the cast stand up to try and end the argument, shouting: “Right, come on then girls.”
But things get worse, as Abbie and Chantelle start shouting at each other.
Abbie tells the camera: “Who the hell does Chantelle think she is? Slagging m off in the taxi? This is what you get.”
She then screams across the room: “You started on me, you started on me, you idiot.”
Chantelle is guided out of the room but refuses to go, yelling: “I’m going nowhere, this is my room just as much as it is yours.”
Abbie yells: “You’ve never been in it the whole f****** time,” as she’s held back by one of the boys.
Things get even more heated as Chantelle shouts: “What are you going to do? F*** all, f*** all.”
And it’s at this point that security comes in to stop the situation from escalating further, as they all attempt to pull Chantelle away from the situation.
Despite Abbie’s snog with Scotty T, she’s since moved on with someone else.
Abbie broke her silence on her new boyfriend, revealing she’d been secretly romancing Jack Rigden since the end of last year and has so far kept coy on the relationship.
Jack appeared on ITVBe reality show Towie for two series in 2017 but has since stepped out of the spotlight whilst Abbie has become a reality TV success story after joining the cast of MTV show Geordie Shore in 2017 where she still remains to this day.
In her first interview about her new-found love with The Sun, Abbie has confessed she is happier than ever with Jack and has even suggested she is likely to upsticks and leave the North East for good to move in with Jack in his native Essex.
Abbie told The Sun: “Things are going really good and I’m finally really happy.”
The pair first met years ago and initially started off as friends but it eventually grew into something more with Abbie admitting Jack had always “had a thing” for her.
She revealed: “So we actually met, obviously, when Sophie [Kaseai] and Jordan [Brook] got together because he’s Jordan’s best friend. So we’ve actually known each other for about two years.
“We’ve just been friends. And then it kind of at the back end of last year, really just grew into something more.
“I think I really like the fact that we’re friends first as well.
“He’s always said he’s had a bit of a soft spot for me and he would always compliment me, but I always just thought like, you know, he’s just being nice.”
Abbie laughed as she said: “We’ve always had a little bit of a flirty kind of friendship but yeah after a couple of drinks it became more and then it was just – was one of them!”
Although the pair are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, Abbie revealed there was no grand over-the-top gesture with Jack opting to keep asking the question more simple and low-key.

“Like I’ve always kind of hated dating and never really gone on dates.
“I think I went through a whole process of being a bit of a man hater and just thinking that all men are the same and I just did not want to go on dates and I just wasn’t bothered.
“Everyone used to always say to me because I think I did want to have a boyfriend and everyone would say it’ll happen when you least expect it.
“I used to say if one more person tells me it’s going to happen when I least expect it then I’m going to punch them clean in the face.
“I was sick to death of hearing that, it becomes all you hear and I was like I can’t bear it.
“But then actually I was like, they were right, like it really, really was unexpected.”
But whilst it is still early days for the couple, Abbie admitted that a move to live with Jack in Essex looked likely in the future.
Much of Abbie’s work is based in London and hers and Jack’s best pals Sophie and Jordan live there – making a potential relocation a no brainer.
Abbie told The Sun: “I would definitely consider [a move] in the future.”
