AN EXTREME cheapskate has revealed the bizarre ways he saves money.
The self-proclaimed frugal freak, who previously confessed to re-using bin bags and claimed to only own one plate, has now shared more of his savvy money saving methods.
tiktok/@baddie.bradA self-proclaimed frugal freak has opened up on the unique ways he saves money[/caption]
tiktok/@baddie.bradFrom skipping showers to stealing loo roll, you’ll be shocked when you find out how much cash Bradley has saved[/caption]
So if you’re looking to cut costs and pocket some extra pounds, you’ve come to the right place.
But 32-year-old Bradley, who steals loo rolls and re-uses snotty tissues, claimed that some of his tricks might be controversial.
Despite earning over £16,000 in just one month alone, the content creator, who has enough money to live lavishly, instead opts for an incredibly frugal lifestyle.
Posting on social media, the influencer, who lives in a ‘cute’ and ‘cosy’ studio home in Connecticut, USA, explained: “I’m frugal and will do anything to save money, so welcome to another episode of Extreme Cheapskates and I’ll show you everything I did to save money last week.”
Bradley, who earns at least £8,000 per month through multiple jobs – including TikTok content creation, financial coaching, dog sitting, answering calls on a crisis hotline, cleaning houses, and mowing lawns – now has £200,830 in savings.
But despite his more-than-comfortable earnings, he still lives the simple life and not only does he re-use cleaning pads to mop his floor, but he also shared: “I’ll try to charge my stuff anywhere – I’ll literally charge battery packs and my shaver at work, I’ve charged stuff at orchestra practice or at the gym, anywhere there’s an outlet.”
In addition to this, he claimed: “I don’t run the heat in my apartment to keep the electric bill low, so sometimes I’ll crack my door open to let the heat in from the hallway – not for long, maybe like 10 minutes, but it’s literally warmer in the hallway than my apartment.”
As well as cooking homemade meals every day, he also makes sure that he washes his plates and cutlery at work.
He confessed that whilst it might be “controversial”, it “makes sense” to him, as there is soap and sponges at his work, so he may as well “utilise” his resources.
As well as this, whilst he often re-uses kitchen roll and paper towels, he also claimed: “Sometimes I’ll grab one from the gym before I leave and I’ve been able to build up quite the stash over the past few years – I’ve never had to buy paper towels.”
Not only has he been able to build up a stash of kitchen roll, but he also confessed to taking toilet paper from public places, which he uses to fill his “toilet paper scrap bin”.
But if that wasn’t enough, he also admitted: “This one probably will be controversial, but I reuse tissues – just hear me out, I find tissues to be pretty big, so instead of throwing it out after one use, I will just use a part of the tissue that was not used.”
5 Money-saving tips for autumn/winter
1. Draught-proof your home
It takes time and money to heat up your home, so it’s important that you do as much as you can to keep in the warmth. Close your doors and windows, and fill any gaps with a draught excluder.
2. Dial down your thermostat
According to Energy UK, turning down your thermostat by just one degree Celsius could cut your heating bill by up to 10%, and save you around £85 per year. Plus, if you don’t have a thermostat, installing one could save up to £70 per year!
3. Move furniture around
Make sure not big, bulky furniture like sofas are blocking radiators.
4. Wash clothes on a lower temp and add an extra spin
Unless it’s bedding, towels or really dirty items, dial down the temperature to 20 or 30 degrees, and do a double spin to remove excess water.
5. Heat the person not the home
There’s not point heating up a room that no one is sitting in, so be mindful about which radiators are on.
Bradley also keeps his fridge on as low a temperature as possible to save money on his electric bill and when leaving his home for a weekend, he will also unplug his fridge.
Bradley even claimed that he will “always” take plastic pots to work and will take leftover snacks from meetings to eat for dinner.
In addition to showering at the gym, when at home, Bradley will sometimes wash his hair in the sink “instead of having a full-blown shower”, as he claimed his apartment is so cold because he doesn’t use his heating.
I reuse tissues – just hear me out, I find tissues to be pretty big, so instead of throwing it out after one use, I will just use a part of the tissue that was not used
Bradley
Not only this, but Bradley, who has been living a frugal lifestyle since 2013, also admitted: “Anytime I see things on the ground like paper clips or rubber bands, I’ll grab them because I typically don’t need them, but I always like to have a few on hand in case I do need them, because why waste money on that stuff when you could just find it for free?”
Whilst Bradley recognised that many may not agree with his way of living, he claimed to be “very happy” and “wouldn’t want to live any other way.”
Money saving tips for parents
WE'VE put together six top tips to cut costs, nab freebies and to make sure you're not fined.
Free prescriptions and dental care – Prescriptions cost £9.15 a pop in England, while NHS dental costs vary by location. You can get both for free while you’re pregnant and for 12 months after your baby’s due date. Ask your doctor or midwife for a maternity exemption certificate (MATEX) to claim the free care.
Free milk, infant formula, vitamins or fruit and veg – Under the Healthy Start programme, you may be entitled to the freebies if you’re at least 10 weeks pregnant or you have a child under four and you’re on certain benefits, such as Universal Credit.
£500 free grant – In England, Northern Ireland and Wales you may be entitled to a Sure Start grant of £500 if you’re on certain benefits and expecting your first child or expecting more than one baby – such as twins. To claim, you need to fill out the following form on Gov.uk and get your doctor or midwife to sign it.
Register the birth in time or face a £200 fine – You need to register the birth within 42 days of your baby being born with your local registry office. This costs £11 in England and Wales.
Update a will or update it – If you don’t have a will, in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, where one parent dies, children will only inherit cash if the estate is worth more than £250,000 – otherwise all the money will go to the surviving spouse. If you don’t want that to happen, you need to get a will stating your wishes.
Consider getting life insurance – No-one likes to think about death but if something happened to you, could the family survive without your salary? If not, you many want to consider life insurance. Use a comparison service to find not only the cheapest, but the most suitable cover for your needs.
Social media users react
At the time of writing, the TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @baddie.brad, had quickly gone viral and racked up 1.7 million views in just one day.
But social media users were gobsmacked by Bradley’s claims and eagerly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.
Some of this is just so unsanitary

One person said: “Cleaning your dishes at work is INSANE.”
Another added: “So you realise taking toilet paper from somewhere is stealing right?”
A third commented: “Some of this is just so unsanitary.”
Meanwhile, someone else questioned: “Why do you do that?”
