How cops snared UK’s worst paedo Matthew Falder & exposed sickening network of ‘abuse to order’ after vile doll ad trap

AFTER posting a Gumtree ad, looking for a particular doll for her young daughter, a grateful mum was touched when a woman named Liz offered to donate one for free.

Liz added: “Can I just ask one thing? I want to be a hundred per cent sure that the doll really is going to the little girl rather than a sneaky, adult collector. Could you take a picture of your daughter holding a sign which says, ‘I “heart” SB.’”

The unsuspecting mum took a photograph of her daughter in her pyjamas, holding the sign, and emailed it to Liz.

Within half an hour of receiving it, a dangerous child abuser, known as the notorious 666devil, was using it as their avatar on the dark web.

Chillingly, the initials SB stood for the depraved child pornography website, Scream, B****!

The young girl was about to become another victim of the UK’s most prolific online paedophile, Matthew Falder, who used blackmail to fuel his increasingly dark and dangerous desires.

The hunt for the abuser, who boasted of being untraceable, is told in the first episode of a gripping documentary series called Prime Suspect: Hunting the Predators, starting on Channel 5 on Wednesday.

Police bodycam footage shows the moment of Falder’s arrest while interviews with investigating officers, surveillance footage and examples of their vile online messages reveal how cleverly the predator managed to get away with it for years.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) deals with the UK’s most serious offences and their manhunt began in 2015 when intelligence reported that a user on the dark web was threatening to abuse their own daughter, giving her “the week of hell.”

An intelligence officer, known only as Luke in the documentary, explains: “It was to be a week of intense abuse against this child.

“One of the posts was of a little girl holding a sign which says ‘I “heart” SB,’ with the date on it, which referred to Scream, B****!, set up for the darkest type of child exploitation, including rape and murder.”

The person was asking other individuals on the forum to suggest what abuse should be delivered, which included starving her for 24 hours and keeping her in a cage.

“The online poster had gained VIP status because all the other like-minded individuals knew, or thought, they had access to a child,” says NCA Interviewing Officer, Jane Lawrenson.

“This was extremely worrying for us because at this stage we didn’t know that the picture was not their daughter.”

Immediately the NCA put out a national child rescue alert in which all the forces across the UK received the image and were to report any sightings to Luke.

Matthew Long, NCA Branch Commander, vividly calls, “I remember driving home and feeling an unbelievable pressure that it was Wednesday going into Thursday and there was a possibility that the child might die on Friday.”

The discovery of the Gumtree link was a huge relief to officers but it was apparent that the individual was causing much harm and distress by soliciting and then blackmailing hundreds of young and vulnerable people.

I remember driving home and feeling an unbelievable pressure that it was Wednesday going into Thursday and there was a possibility that the child might die on Friday.

Matthew Long

Jane Lawrenson and a social worker visited the home of the young girl whose image was being used on the website to make sure she was safe and to see if she and her mother could bring them any closer to the identity of the offender.

“I told the mother I was from the NCA and immediately she said, ‘I know why you are here,’” she says.

“She was devastated. She told us that Liz had asked for more pictures of her daughter and that’s when she got suspicious and reported them to Gumtree.

“After that, she never let her daughter play outside or let her out of her sight.”

Clearly, Liz was just a made-up name and further investigation led to a man in the UK.

But with an IP address that identifies a computer being masked on the dark web, finding him, says Matt Sutton, who headed the manhunt, “a needle in a haystack.”

Paedophile network

Officer Luke worked tirelessly to determine there was a link between three different usernames Falder had used[/caption]

In 2013, the FBI took down a dark child abuse website called Hurt 2 The Core.

It had been set up by a 21-year-old named Matthew Graham and ran from his bedroom at his parent’s home in Melbourne, where Australian police arrested him.

He was eventually sentenced to 15 years in prison and evidence from his arrest revealed details of an international paedophile network.

“There were a number of individuals believed to be UK-based and those usernames were shared with the UK,” says Matt.

“One of the abusers had the username of InTheGarden. He was posting about a girl he had managed to blackmail into producing indecent images which were then shared on the website for the benefit of others.

“When he had got the images is when the blackmail started and the victims became scared that the images would go viral or be sent to their loved ones or their school,” says Jane.

Luke adds: “One of the victims was encouraged to do more and more degrading acts of self-abuse such as licking toilet bowls, writing degrading messages across their body with lipstick while posing nude and attaching bulldog clips to body parts.”

After the closure of Hurt 2 The Core, its successor, Scream, B****! was set up, once more enabling thousands of child sex offenders to engage with each other.

“In order to access these forums you have to register,” says Luke.

“So you have to create a username and password. I did this and for months was collecting information, watching users, looking for opportunities to safeguard our children.

“It’s quite challenging mentally, due to the material you are exposed to.”

How to spot your child is in danger online and what to do

ONLINE grooming is a growing threat, with predators using social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps to target children. Here’s how to spot the warning signs and what to do.

Warning Signs

  • Secrecy – Your child becomes secretive about online activity, quickly switching screens or hiding messages.
  • New “Friends” – They talk about a new older friend or receive gifts, money, or gaming credits.
  • Mood Changes – Anxiety, withdrawal, or anger when asked about their online interactions.
  • Excessive Time Online – Spending increasing hours online, especially late at night.
  • Inappropriate Content – Receiving sexual messages or being asked to send explicit images.

What to Do

  • Talk to Your Child – Approach them calmly and encourage openness.
  • Check Devices – Monitor chats and apps for suspicious contacts.
  • Report It – Contact CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command) via the NSPCC or police.
  • Restrict Access – Use parental controls and educate them about online dangers.

Grooming can escalate quickly—act immediately if you suspect it. For support, visit NSPCC.org.uk.

A connection between the usernames of Liz, InTheGarden, EvilMind and 666devil was eventually made leaving the police confident that they were all the same person.

‘Liz’ was also found to be on a babysitting website in America and also one for young people with anorexia nervosa, where she was posing as an artist who would pay hundreds of pounds for topless or fully nude photographs.

They would later be used to blackmail them for sexually degrading videos.

He would sometimes get them to give him control of their Facebook accounts and would pose as them and send abusive messages to their friends which could lead to physical attacks when they arrived at school.

“The volume of children who were being abused was bordering on the unprecedented,” says NCA Branch Commander Matthew Long.

‘Rap sheet from hell’

When cops read out his charges during his arrest, Falder said it sounded like the “rap sheet from hell”[/caption]

Four years after the online abuser was first discovered, police finally had a breakthrough.

“The level of communication with him on forums over the years meant it would be likely that at some point he would have a hiccup,” says Matt.

“In March 2017, we identified, through a tiny piece of intel, a possible IP address that was linked to a home address in the UK.

“I can’t be specific on how the hiccup occurred but there was enough to identify a real world identity that was behind EvilMind and the other usernames.

“You always have some idea who you think you are looking for and it never ends up being right.

“It’s not the old bloke in the brown ‘flasher’ mac outside the school gates. It can be virtually anybody and they can be of any age.

“He was a Cambridge alumnus, who was 28 and worked for Birmingham University as a geophysics lecturer. Not someone we expected.

“He had a long term girlfriend and came from the north of England from a well-to-do family. By all accounts had a vast network of friends and associates and was well liked.”

Police bodycam footage of balding, bespectacled Matthew Falder’s arrest at Birmingham University show him startled and in disbelief that his dual life has been discovered.

When he is read the horrific list of sexual charges, he responds, “It sounds like the rap sheet from hell.”

After his arrest, he was interviewed by Jane Lawrenson who remembers, “He looked like a normal person who you would walk past in the street and wouldn’t have a second glance at.”

At first, he replies “no comment” to every question but for his second round of questioning, his solicitor reads out a statement from him, in which he admits that he is EvilMind.

Devices seized from his bedroom contained nearly 14,000 indecent images and 1251 videos of children from around the world, making him the most prolific online paedophile the NCA have ever investigated.

In court he pleaded guilty to 137 offences against 46 victims and was sentenced to 32 years in prison – the biggest sentence that an online predator had received in the UK.

Following an appeal, his sentence was reduced to 25 years.

Ruona Iguyovwe, of the Crown Prosecution Services, said Falder had shown no sympathy or humanity towards his victims, who were left too ashamed to tell family and afraid to leave the house.

When one said they were ready to “end it all”, he told them the images would still be circulated “so what good is that going to be to you”.

For the NCA the lengthy sentence was a huge win.

“I take great satisfaction that I still think he doesn’t know how we managed to catch him,” says Luke.

Jack O’Connor pays emotional tribute to ‘father-figure’ Kerry GAA legend following his sad death

JACK O’Connor has hailed Johnny Culloty as a ‘father-figure’ to him during his early days with Kerry.

Culloty served as a selector for O’Connor during his first stint in charge of the Kingdom

He helped his county lift Sam Maguire five times as a player, including captaining the Kingdom in 1969.

The Killarney Legion clubman also attained All-Ireland success as a hurler since he was part of their junior title-winning side of 1961.

Prior to Mick O’Dwyer’s reign, he served as Kerry manager and guided the Kingdom to Munster SFC glory in 1972 and back-to-back National League titles.

Culloty was part of O’Connor’s backroom team when they claimed the All-Ireland in 2004 and 2006.

Speaking to The Kerryman, the 64-year-old praised: “Johnny was a like a father-figure to me, he was a great friend and he will be sadly missed.

“We worked together with the under-21s in 1998 and 1999, winning the All-Ireland the first year, and he was a selector with me from 2004 when I took over the senior team.

“He was a great man, he had fantastic experience, and had a huge knowledge of the game.

“He made me very aware of the traditions of Kerry football, he always wanted Kerry to play football in the right way, with a bit of style, almost regardless of the results.

“He was a link back to Dr Eamonn O’Sullivan – he would have played under Dr Eamonn – and a lot of the stuff Dr Eamonn believed in Johnny would have passed that on to the next generation.

“Johnny was a very understated, unassuming man, but he was very intelligent and he was a great judge of a footballer.

“I used to say that Johnny was as good a judge of a footballer as Vincent O’Brien was of a racehorse.”

Sadly, Culloty’s death hasn’t been the only high-profile loss suffered across the GAA fraternity in that region this week.

Former Cork hurler Ray Ryan, brother of Cork senior manager Pat, died on Tuesday at the age of just 43.

His local club Sarsfields led the tributes, with Ryan having been part of teams that won county titles in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014.

‘HEAVY HEARTS’

The club said: “It is with heavy hearts that we at Sarsfields Hurling Club must share the heartbreaking news of the unexpected passing of our Minor Manager and club stalwart, Ray Ryan.

“His loss has left an immense void not only within our club, but also within Glanmire Football Club and the wider Glanmire community.

“Our deepest condolences go out to Aisling, his beautiful children, the Ryan family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

“Ray’s unwavering dedication and passion for the game, as well as his kindness and commitment to our club will forever be remembered.”

After helping Sarsfields to the 2008 county honours, Ryan joined the Cork senior hurling panel in the absence of the existing panel that withdrew their services.

He remained part of the panel when they returned and made his championship debut in the 2010 Munster semi-final win over Limerick.

Chelsea old guard tip ex-team-mate as new contender for Rangers manager job – but it’s not Frank Lampard

FRANK LAMPARD came close to landing the Rangers job when Philippe Clement was appointed.

Now THREE of his former team-mates reckon the Gers should be looking at their star-studded Stamford Bridge squad again.

Carlton Cole, Joe Cole and Wayne Bridge discussed the vacancy on The Dressing Room podcast

Joe Cole, Carlton Cole and Wayne Bridge had halcyon days in west London.

The Blues enjoyed mid-noughties success during the first coming of Jose Mourinho with captain John Terry lifting the Premier League title twice and Frank Lampard scoring from midfield.

And the trio reckon there was a future Gers gaffer amongst them.

But not Lampard – now in charge at Coventry City.

And not his old pal John Terry either – most recently coach at Leicester.

Instead the trio have pulled another name out of the blue – not widely linked with the job. At least, not so far.

Lampard and Kevin Muscat have been mentioned – as previous candidates – so too has out of work ex-bosses Steven Gerrard and Gio van Bronckhorst, plus the likes of Steve Cooper, Sean Dyche and Gary O’Neil.

Sunsport revealed Russell Martin is a name being considered by the Ibrox hierarchy in the immediate aftermath of Philippe Clement‘s sacking.

However the team at The Dressing Room podcast reckon another Englishman is being unfairly over-looked.

Step forward former England first-team coach – Ashley Cole.

Wayne Bridge said: “He was a great player, obviously one of the best but also like he he knows football. He’s read the game.

“You can see the dedication he’s put into the coaching.”

And Joe Cole, who raised his name, explained: “I’m gonna throw him in because, I know he’s got a great job working in England under-21s but Rangers had such a great spell with Stevie G – another ex-England legend.

“I can see Coley going to that job.

” I worked with him doing a bit of media in foreign country. We were sitting with an afternoon off on the sun beds lounging at the pool.

“We ordered a cup of drinks, laughing and I thought ‘this is all good, just watching the world go by in 90 degrees.

“But he just gets out his laptop and he’s showing me throw-ins! That’s dedication. I love him. That would be perfect for him.”

Gerrard leads the permanent betting market at 7/1 alongside Russell Martin.

Interim boss Barry Ferguson is next, followed by David Wagner (10/1), Derek McInnes (12/1), Sean Dyche and Jesse Marsch (both 16/1).

What will Trump’s ‘Gold Card’ visa offer? US to sell $5m VIP ticket to America…& oligarchs fleeing Putin are welcome

DONALD Trump has proposed offering a “Gold Card” visa to bring the world’s elite to the US, setting them back $5million for the VIP ticket.

This immigration program could also offer oligarchs, seeking refuge from dictator Putin, a route to the US but this is how the special pass will work.

The new ‘gold card’ will set people back around $5million[/caption] Illustration of Donald Trump as Willy Wonka, surrounded by "Golden Ticket" details: open to oligarchs, $5 million cost, route to citizenship, attracts global citizens, no cap on numbers.

Trump sensationally announced the VIP visa could start in as little as two weeks and dubbed this new visa the “gold card”.

This path will also come with a route to citizenship for some of the world’s richest foreign businessmen in what Trump said was “somewhat like a green card, but at a higher level of sophistication”.

Trump told reporters in The White House: “You have a green card, this is a gold card.”

He also emphasised that this route will be open to investors planning to create jobs for Americans.

Trump added: “Wealthy people will be coming into our country by buying this card.

“They’ll be wealthy and they’ll be successful and they’ll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people.”

Who will qualify for the gold visa?

Trump revealed this route was for people “of wealth or people of great talent”.

He also announced this program will be a way to bring in investors who will build companies and provide jobs.

He did not give specific job creation requirements but said applicants will go through vetting to ensure they are “wonderful, world-class global citizens”.

Trump did not confirm if there will be a cap on the number of gold visas handed out but he suggested around one million could be sold to generate money for the government.

He added that more details about the big money visa will be revealed in two weeks.

How much will the visa cost and what will people get for that money?

This new visa will set the wealthy back around $5million per application.

The program will not give buyers American citizenship straight away.

Gold visa recipients will be lawful residents of the US and will have the right to work towards citizenship.

Typical green card holders must spend five years in the US before they can apply for a US passport.

It is not clear if this timeline will be different for Trump’s new visa holders.

Has the US previously had a similar visa?

EB-5 visas are open to foreign nationals who invest $1million in an American business that employs at least 10 people.

This path, which was introduced in 1990, gave these rich internationals green cards and the eventual route to citizenship.

The EB-5 has a limit of 10,000 visas per year for people who “make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States”.

Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, explained that the Trump administration intends to end the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program and “replace it with the Trump gold card.”

He described the EB-5 program as “full of nonsense, make-believe and fraud,” adding, “It was a way to get a green card that was low priced.”

How does the US visa system work?

The US currently offers a range of visas for foreigners who want to live and work in the country, each with its own set of requirements and limitations.

Broadly, visas fall into two categories: non-immigrant visas, which are temporary and typically issued for work, study, or tourism, and immigrant visas, which provide a pathway to permanent residency (a Green Card).

For those seeking long-term residency, the Green Card application process can be rigorous and time-consuming, often taking years.

Some applicants obtain Green Cards through family sponsorship, employer sponsorship, or humanitarian programs such as refugee or asylum status.

Others may qualify through investment-based programs like the EB-5 visa, which allows individuals to apply for permanent residency if they invest a significant amount of money in a US business and create jobs.

Nonimmigrant visas, on the other hand, include work-based visas such as the H-1B for skilled workers, L-1 for intra-company transfers, and O-1 for individuals with extraordinary abilities.

Many of these visas have strict eligibility criteria and annual caps, making them highly competitive.

The complexity and length of the US immigration process mean that many foreign nationals face long wait times and significant legal hurdles before securing the right to live and work in the country permanently.

What controversy has surrounded the new gold visa?

Trump did not rule against Russian oligarchs possibly benefiting from this new visa.

He explained that any of these Putin escapees would be vetted and could pass if they are “global citizens”.

Trump said: “Yeah, possibly. Hey. I know some Russian oligarchs that are very nice people.”

This golden ticket to the US has been a sharp contrast to Trump’s mass deportation flights for “criminals” and “illegals” in the US.

Seven countries so far have agreed to take back deportees just weeks after Trump reentered The White House.

These nations include India, Honduras, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
