ANTONY celebrated with coaches and team-mates when he was told his red card had been overturned and he can play Real Madrid.

LaLigaAntony saw red for this needless sliding tackle in injury time[/caption]
And that looked set to prompt a suspension – and crucially the Brazilian winger would miss Real Madrid’s visit to the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Saturday.
The game will have major implications on both the LaLiga title race and battle for European places.
Los Blancos are second but level on 54 points with leaders Barcelona while Betis sit seventh as one of three teams on 35 points.
And Antony’s absence at the weekend could have been hugely significant.
However, Betis appealed the red card, arguing the tackle was reckless but not dangerous or displaying serious foul play.
And the Spanish FA’s disciplinary committee agreed – and wiped out the sending off, thus making Antony available for Saturday’s crunch clash.
Real Betis’ social media team captured the moment Antony heard the good news from first-team coach Alexis Trujillo alongside manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Antony hugged Trujillo then shook hands with various coaches and fellow players before sharing a joke with Pellegrini on the training pitch.
The £85.5million man vowed to make the hassle and stress worthwhile.
He said: “I was always hoping. I’m very happy, very happy.
“I’m ready for Saturday’s game. I was just leaving training and someone from the staff told me and everyone is very happy now.
“I have to be focused. We know what we’re playing for in front of our fans.”
Playmaker Isco added: “Have they taken it off? Thank goodness.”
And ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian joked: “Don’t throw yourself on the ground like that again or I’ll kill you.”

The out-of-control vehicle is seen taking off from the ground, before overturning and landing on its four wheels again, missing the woman by just a few inches.
The parked car is then seen ramming into the wall of a nearby shopfront.
As the pick-up truck comes off the ground, the terrified pedestrian runs to safety on the pavement.
The video went viral after it was shared on social media on Saturday.
The woman was miraculously unharmed by the collision, but extremely shaken up.
Employees from the store opposite came to the woman’s aid soon after the crash.
One of the employees, Erica Figueiredo, said she could “barely speak” because of the nervousness.
Another passer-by also ran to take shelter near a store after the event.
The driver of the pick-up truck was unharmed.
He was wearing company clothes and said he had simply been in a hurry to do a job.
The police were called to the scene but the woman had already left when they arrived.
A police report was filed and the damaged vehicles were removed.

AlamyA sow is seen inside a high-rise pig farm at Yaji Mountain Forest Park in Guangxi, China[/caption]
YouTubeThe shocking vertical farms are 26-storey’s high[/caption]
YouTubeThousands of pigs can be seen crammed into tiny individual pens in the factory-like farms[/caption]
The 26-storey building that resembles a concrete housing block towers above the rural village and is home to millions of pigs being raised for slaughter.
Horrifying images from inside show rows and rows of pigs crammed into individual pens barely wider than the animals themselves, with feeding tubes dumping food into the troughs in front of them.
Sows moved into the so-called “hog hotel” in 2022 when the high-rise was constructed, and the second building soon followed, with both reaching full capacity.
Jin Lin, general manager of the £500 million farm told Global Times that each building has floors covering 390,000 square meters and can produce 1.2 million pigs a year.
The animals are used for both their manure and their meat with China consuming half of the world’s pork and having little farmland.
The multi-storey pig farms see the animals carted into industrial sized lifts and sent to higher floors where they reproduce and are fattened up.
Each floor is dedicated to a different part of their life cycle with pregnant sows on one level, piglets on another, and mature hogs being prepared for the butcher on another.
Like in a factory, their feed is distributed throughout the site on a conveyor belt and automatically dumped into troughs; over a million pounds of feed is given to them every day.
Uniformed operatives who run the pig farm observe operations from a bizarre command centre surrounded by CCTV screens as they merge agriculture and technology to create an unusual urban farm.
Everything from ventilation to feeding the animals is controlled by operatives using monitors and they are given daily baths.
With over 800 members of staff, each employee is responsible for around 1,500 hogs in the high-living facility.
As well as tackling the demand for pork and farmland shortages, the facility uses innovative technology to help reduce the challenges associated with farming, such as water and energy consumption.
It “boasts labour efficiency, green ecology, and lower comprehensive cost” experts claim.
Future of farming
Hubei Zhongxin Kaiwei Modern Animal Husbandry built the farms alongside the company’s cement factory, and says the high-rise pig farms symbolise China’s ambitions for the industry.
Zhuge Wenda, the company’s president told The New York Times in 2023: “China’s current pig breeding is still decades behind the most advanced nations.
“This provides us with room for improvement to catch up.”
All of the feed is calculated and automatically distributed depending on the individual needs of the animals while their waste is collected and re-used.
But the huge complex has enraged animal lovers in China which prompted promoters to address concerns over sanitation and poor treatment, ensuring that the pigs have space to move.
Others have raised concerns about the spread of diseases not just among the animals but also to humans.

Dr Justine Butler, a senior researcher with vegan campaigning charity Viva, spoke on factory farms in 2020 saying that they are “a perfect storm.”
“We’re providing viruses with the perfect environment – factory farms, where animals are bred for fast growth, their immunity is low, and they’re kept in horrific conditions,” she said.
In 2018, giant Chinese pig farms caused outrage by setting fire to the animals to stop the spread of African swine flu that killed millions of the country’s pig population.
But Wenda claimed that this modern style of farming is better for the animals and they address biosecurity concerns.
He told Global Times: “Pigs are inherently clean animals. Each floor of the building is divided into various functional areas, making pig farming cleaner.”
“The waste water is treated on site,” said Zhuge he added in an interview with local Hubei television.
“In addition, our biosecurity control system, added to a scientific diet, makes it possible to improve the quality of the meat in order to meet the demand of the population for pork of a good standard and less expensive.”
Multi-storey ‘milestone’
Pig meat is so vital to China that in 2019, the State Council ruled that all government departments needed to support the pork industry including giving financial aid to boost large farms dedicated to pigs.
It was that year that Beijing said it would allow for multi storey farming which resulted in the urban high rise farms.
President Xi Jinping said: “A country must strengthen its agriculture before making itself a great power, and only a robust agriculture can make the country strong.”
The leader has prioritised agriculture warning that without self-reliance for food, China would “fall under others.”
The executive director of Yu’s Design Institute that designs the multi-story farms believes they will become an increasingly common sight.
Yu Ping told the NY Times: “This is a milestone and not only for China, because I think multistory farms will have an impact on the world.”

A GLAMOROUS policewoman has lost her job after she was caught passing on confidential information about tragic mum Nicola Bulley.
WPC Molly Bury, 28, illegally accessed the Police National Computer to get intimate updates about 45-year Nicola – who sparked a major police hunt when she went missing – so she could pass on “tittle tattle” to friends and family.

CavendishShe illegally accessed the Police National Computer to get intimate updates[/caption]
When one pal kept pestering Bury for updates, the Lancashire Police officer said: ”I will get in s*** if they see me checking.”
When pressed again she added: “I have not checked. I cannot keep checking. I will get into trouble.”
The officer was arrested after a shocked member of the public overheard her mother Andrea Mercer telling how “Molly” had shared information with her about a rape after she “checked her police thing”.
Investigations revealed Bury had been accessing the police logs over a three year period between October 2019 and March 2023 to share ‘idle gossip’ for ”no policing purpose.”
She also obtained info on the death of a baby, a hit run and crash and a stabbing and in one day alone she accessed a log about a domestic violence incident and grabbed information about a pre-planned arrest of a robbery suspect.
When quizzed she admitted she had been ”stupid and nosey” but insisted she was not malicious.”
Most of the information was accessed when she was on annual leave or on the sick.
Nicola was found dead in the River Wyre at St Michaels on Wyre in February 2023 following a three week manhunt for her which sparked wild speculation online.
A coroner later concluded she had drowned after accidentally falling into the water whilst walking her dog.
At Chester magistrates court, mother of one Bury, from Accrington, Lancs, pleaded guilty to 32 offences of unauthorised access to police logs.
She faced up to two years jail under sentencing guidelines but was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for 12 months after a judge ruled she was ”profoundly immature” and ”not corrupt.”
Earlier Miss Gayle McCoubrey, prosecuting, said the unnamed member of the public contacted police in March 2023, after overhearing Bury’s mother sharing information about a rape.
The prosecutor said: “She was heard to say: “I asked Molly. She checked her police thing and she said it was a rape.”
She said Molly had told her about a victim a few weeks prior and she said it was a murder.
Police systems identified that WPC Molly Bury had viewed both logs on a police issued Samsung device whilst off duty.
Police raided Bury’s home and recovered a mobile phone which showed she had sent confidential information about various police incidents.
In October 2019 she sent details of a stabbing incident which she had attended to a friend called Elliot, saying: “The lad from stabbing survived.”
She later sent him further messages saying: “A hit and run just came in. Woman probably going to die. Car drove onto the pavement into this lad and girl.”
In a further message regarding a dead baby found in December 2019, Bury said: “Oh my God, it is a one year old child.”
When on a rest day she sent further texts saying to Elliott: “Undercover police are outside your address.” To which he replied: “F** the feds.”
The court heard Bury also shared information with a woman called Amy Sanderson about a local man wanted for a stabbing, another in jail for drugs offences and about a woman who jumped off a building.
Miss McCoubrey said: “On January 28, 2023, the defendant was showing as off sick yet she carried out a search for Nicola Bulley and messages were sent regards that. She sent a number of text messages with regard to that missing person.
“On January 29, she was sick but has again accessed the police system and viewed deployed patrols. At 10.59 Miss Sanderson asked: ‘Any update on Nicky?’ She replied, ‘I will get in shit if they see me checking.’
“At 11.01, she accessed the Samsung device and searched again and a further message was sent regarding Nicola Bulley.
“At 6.33 Miss Sanderson sent a message ‘Any update?’ and Miss Bury replied: ‘I have not checked. I cannot keep checking. I will get into trouble.’”
“In terms of culpability, this conduct takes place over a number of years, there are 32 occasions, so obviously the volume of the charges is an aggravating feature. She was spreading gossip or sensitive information.”
Bury, who was based at Blackburn police station, was also ordered to complete 30 days of rehabilitation activity and pay £154 in costs and surcharge.
Sentencing, Deputy Senior District Judge Tan Ikram, said: “These are not corrupt messages. There is no money involved. There is no suggestion this is a criminal fraternity.
“She clearly knew what she was doing was wrong. but the harm is damage to the reputation of police and confidence in policing. It was immature gossiping throughout. She was doing work without any insight into the job.
“It was tittle tattle nonsense much of it.”
He told Bury: “You made admissions and you were remorseful in the interview. I think it was real remorse. You described your actions as stupid and that you had been nosey. You did not think you were malicious and I accept that.
“But you conceded that it crossed boundaries and these undignified and unlawful disclosures demonstrated profound immaturity on your part.
“There was a complete lack of insight into the need for confidentiality in policing. You seem to find humour and positive pleasure in sharing information.
“On occasions it is clearly more than curiosity and it is clear that it gives the impression of idle gossip.”
The judge added: ”You are a police officer 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Just like I am a district judge 24 hours a day, seven days a week – it does matter where I am or what I am doing – I am accountable. I find your behaviour disappointing.”
