Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch reveal controversial rule they’ve slapped on their four kids to ‘improve their behaviour’

ABBEY Clancy and Peter Crouch have revealed the strict rule they’ve placed on their four children to improve behaviour.

The parents implemented an iPad and phone ban at Christmas and it seems to be working wonders, with them insisting it’s led to a more positive attitude.

Screen time is now a thing of the past in the household[/caption]

Speaking on their The Therapy Crouch podcast, Peter, 44, said: “We said to them iPads and phones are gone and I feel we’ve stuck to that.

“We made a conscious effort amongst ourselves to cut them out and they’ve properly cut them out.”

They highlighted daughter Sophia, 12, and said it’s helped to instill a sense of gratitude in her life which radiates through the family.

Other rules they’ve put in place include being present with the kids after school, focusing on homework and making dinner before having their time as a couple once the kids are in bed.

The honest couple – who are also parents to Liberty Rose, nine, Johnny, seven, and Jack, five – often discuss and poke fun at their sex life on the show.

Abbey, 39, previously said Pete’s use of emojis to try and initiate sex were actually a turn off.

She said: “I just don’t know how long I can go on with these sexual emojis that you keep sending me.

“If the kids go to school and he hears me like, put the key in the door, I’m in and no one’s in the house, I just get a beaver and an aubergine emoji text.

“I’m not even gonna say the last one but you can imagine what it is.”

Peter confirmed: “There’s three emojis.”

Abbey described the third one: “I’ve got a bit of hydration in there. How vile is that? Am I supposed to go, ‘Oh yeah, now I’m bang up for it’.”

She added: “Do you think you’re going to get lucky with those messages?”

Peter replied: “I’m just letting you know, I’m just putting my cards on the table.”

Horror moment bungling fisherman slips on rock & lands on SHARK before beast makes terrifying lunge at him

THIS is the horror moment a bungling fisherman slipped on a rock and landed on top of a shark – narrowly escaping a fatal bite from the beast.

The man, seen wearing a pair of white Crocs, lost his balance and plunged straight into the water where a deadly shark attempted to bite his leg off.

Shocking footage shows the man standing on top of rocks at the edge of a coastal wall while his friend was reeling.

However, the man suddenly slipped and plunged off the rock – and was seen landing on the shark’s tail.

The beast, who was caught off guard, swished its head around and tried to bite him.

But he managed to scramble on top of the rock as the shark made a terrifying lunge at him.

He also lost both his Crocs to the sea.

The man was angling in the Florida Keys in the US last week.

The shocking footage has since gone viral on the internet, racking almost 3 million views.

One local said: “The story of how he came home without his Crocs is going to be funny.”

Another user asked: “Why the f is he dangling his toes so close to the water?”

A third person joked: “Those Crocs are in Cuba by now. You usually only see Crocs and sharks together in Australia.”

While another user quipped: “Never been hoping to see a shark bite so bad in my life.”

It comes after a man was airlifted to hospital after being attacked by a shark in waters off a popular tourist island.

The victim was found suffering from abdominal injuries and deep lacerations to his leg.

Emergency services rushed to the scene near Moreton Island, QueenslandAustralia.

The man was treated at the scene before being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokeswoman said.

It comes just weeks after 17-year-old Charlize Zmuda was fatally mauled by a shark at Woorim Beach, Bribie Island.

The teenager suffered horrific upper-body injuries and died at the scene despite efforts to save her.

The high school senior had been at the beach in Bribie Island with friends at the time of the attack earlier this month.

Meanwhile, a brave husband tried to save his wife as she was savaged by a 6ft shark which reportedly bit off both of her hands.

Witnesses claim the tourist rushed to save his partner from the predator as they swam off the coast of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Atlantic.

The couple – understood to be Canadian – were holidaying on the islands with their family.

They are believed to have been only a few metres from the shoreline when the shark attack took place.

It was reported by local media she lost both of her hands and a chunk of her thigh in the horrifying incident.

It is believed – but not confirmed – that the shark was a bull shark, a species known for attacks on humans.

‘Tiniest house in Britain’ that’s half the size of neighbours’ is so thin only one narrow window can fit on each floor

A HOUSE thought to be among the tiniest in Britain which is half the size of its neighbours has caught the attention of onlookers.

The three-storey building is sandwiched between a row of Victorian townhouses in Cambridge – but it barely fits a front door.

Cambridge is a historic city meaning many of its buildings dotted have been around for hundreds of years. The city has a lot of interesting architecture to explore with interesting stories behind it or enough mystery to get people talking. A lot of the houses closer to the city centre are small townhouses lined up in rows down the city's quaint side streets. It is only until you get a bit further outside of the city centre that you start to see large family homes appearing. If you have taken a walk around Chesterton recently, one townhouse in particular might have stood out to you. Surrounded by homes with large bay windows and plenty of space, 149 Chesterton Road is visibly smaller with three floors that can fit only one window on each and just enough space for a front door.

Each neighbour boasts a large bay window, alongside a thinner aperture on each floor.

Aside from this gaff on Chesterton Road, which tightly fits one narrow window on each floor.

Members of the Odd Things About Cambridge Facebook group have debated the purpose of the building.

One person claimed the house is a “pretty modern” one bedroom home with a bathroom and open-plan living space, Cambridgeshire Live reports.

But apparently the house used to be part of the property next door until the developer turned it into flats.

Another person supported this theory, seeing as the bricks are interlaced and the cornering matches.

However, she went on to admit this could be a later adaptation.

Meanwhile a third person suggested the narrow house might be the original as its stairs look more dated.

He believes the building on the left may actually have been added later.

Another commentator told how his cousin lived in the narrow house years ago and that it used to be a furriers house.

Other people compared the house to the fictional home of Sirius Black in Harry Potter of number 12 Grimmauld Place.

Another person joked that if you touch the right bricks, they might become wider.

Enthusiasts can even buy a copy of an old photograph of the building from the James Bentley Archive.

The photograph shows two people standing outside of the house in what looks like Victorian dress, which would suggest that house has been there for quite a long time, but the photo has not been dated.

British Soap Awards host revealed as show returns a year after being mysteriously axed

THE BRITISH Soap Awards is returning this year with a very familiar host.

The long-running ITV celebration of all things soap as the best and brightest from Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders and Hollyoaks face off to win awards.

And after a year long hiatus after the show was mysteriously cancelled last year, it returns to screens this summer.

The Sun can reveal that Jane McDonald will host once more after stepping in in 2023 to replace disgraced presenter Phillip Schofield.

A show source said “The soaps are as popular as ever and currently delivering some brilliant must see TV so fans can expect a night to remember when The British Soap Awards returns.

“The British Soap Awards were hugely missed by everyone last year, it’s the biggest night in the soap calendar so there’s great excitement it’s back”

The Sun revealed last year how the bash would be back this year – and it’s been a bumper year for soaps.

EastEnders will no doubt be expecting to win big after its 40th anniversary live episode.

The BBC soap drafted in old favourites from its 40 year history in the run-up to last week’s special.

And it pulled off a major shock with a ghostly appearance from original Queen Vic landlady Angie Watts with Anita Dobson reprising her role.

ITV rival Emmerdale also pulled out all the stops for a dramatic limo crash stunt week that saw FOUR shocking deaths revealed.

Coronation Street has also been riding high on the devastating death of Paul Foreman last year, and the huge house fire as David Platt spirals out of control.

And Hollyoaks has revived itself after a tough few years that saw its weekly episodes slashed by 40 per cent – down to three per week.

However it’s year-long time jump and strong storylines have revitalised the show just in time for the awards.

I’ve lived in a CAVE for 2 years after quake destroyed my home – I have snakes and rats for roommates but I love it

A DAD of three transformed a cave into his dream home after an earthquake destroyed his house.

Ali Bozoglan, 55, traded his comfortable life for sleeping with snakes and rats after being left homeless when his house in Hatay, Turkey was torn down two years ago.

The quake left Ali terrified to live in a normal home again.

The Defne District Governship offered Ali temporary housing but he declined, choosing a remote cave in the Yaylica hills instead.

Ali has now lived there for two years.

Ali said: “It’s not for everyone but it suits me.

“Since the earthquake I’ve been living here for two years and I’ve found peace in this cave.

“It hasn’t been destroyed for thousands of years.”

He added: “I am far away from everyone and in touch with nature.”

Photos of his cosy residence show the layout of the cave, complete with a grand entrance, bedroom and kitchen.

A rocky ledge at the back of the cave marks the bedroom, fitted with a sleeping bag, mattress and bed-side gas lamp.

The cave’s kitchen has all the appliances Ali might need including a sink, fridge and gas cooker.

Here he cooks his meals with whatever ingredients he can forage from outside.

Nearby streams are used to wash his dishes and do his laundry.

And that’s not all, with Ali’s plans to install a solar panel the cave could soon generate its own electricity to run all his appliances.

When asked if the cave gets cold Ali said that because there is no window, no matter how much it snows or rains it stays warm.

But cave life comes with its challenges, sometimes in the form of unfriendly neighbours.

Ali said: “There are snakes and rats that come into the cave.

“I have a few prayers to ward off the snakes.

“They leave when I pray, and three months ago, I had a snake in my bed.

“I grabbed the sheet and grabbed the snake.

“I told it, ‘Go and be blessed’ and it left.”

The husband and dad of three also said that it can be lonely living away from family but said “not everyone can live the cave life”.

It is not known where his wife and children are living.

Locals are fascinated by Ali’s unconventional lifestyle, with many suggesting he turn his cave into an off-the-grid retreat for thrill-seeking travellers.

English holiday park reveals £2million makeover with new lodges, kids play area and beach upgrades

LADRAM Bay holiday park in East Devon has announced a huge upgrade.

For anyone heading over there this year, you’re in luck as all the work will be finished in time for the summer season and as it opens in March 2025.

Lots of the holiday homes have private hot tubs – including the 17 new lodges[/caption]

Ahead of the summer season, the holiday park has undergone huge changes and upgrades with an investment of £2million.

Ladram Bay is a family-owned business and has been developing 17 new holiday lodges on site.

They’ve also added more children’s play facilities and even a dog agility area.

On the sister site of Castle Brake 15 minutes away, they’ve invested £500k into the infrastructure and the refurbishment of the pub, Castle Bistro.

Zoe House whose family have owned Ladram Bay since 1943 and Castle Brake for the last 17 years, and is now the Director of Ladram Bay said: “As a family business, we understand how important it is to create precious memories.

“Holiday habits are changing, and staycations are ever more appealing as air fares increase. Families want to trust they are getting a fantastic experience for every moment of their holiday before committing time and money to a trip away.

“We’ve made it our mission to continually deliver the best quality experience for all the family, which is why investment has been so critical across our parks.”

The new holiday homes in Ladram Bay are luxurious with private hot tubs and designed for open plan living.

As for children’s activities, the park already has so many from the paddling at the private beach to an outdoor splash zone in the pool.

Outside, there’s a huge adventure playground that looks like a pirate ship and a Jurassic adventure golf course.

But thanks to the renovations there’s even more including a new children’s art studio that even has a pottery kiln.

While the children get messy with paint and clay, there’s a lounge area for parents to relax in.

Right next door is a brand-new soft play area and an arcade that has air hockey tables and retro arcade games.

At Ladram Bay holiday park you are allowed up to three pets per accommodation – and now you can show off their skills at the agility centre.

The agility course features a range of equipment, from ramps and a jump hoop, to weaving posts and a seesaw – it’ll be like a seaside version of Crufts.

At Castle Brake, there has been an update to the on-site pub that will also offer new food and drink options in March.

The two sites are only five miles apart, Ladram Bay is on the coastline and is for those who want to spend time at the beach.

Whereas Castle Brake is situated inland – but anyone who stays here can always hop over to Ladram Bay to use the swimming pool and go onto the beach.

All of the new updates will be in place and open for the visitors on March 7.

One holiday park expert named Ladram Park as one of his top stays in the UK.

And here are the other lesser-known holiday parks named among the best in the UK.

This travel expert reveals what to consider when you book your next holiday park break

Holiday Park Guru manager Robbie Lane reveals his top booking tips...

Robbie told Sun Online Travel: “I look for a holiday park that is walking distance to a beach, ideally with a sea view.

He added it makes it “much less hassle” especially when travelling as a family if you can avoid having to pack everything into a car.

He continued: “And it makes it much easier to fit in a quick seaside stroll after tea.”

He also said he tries to make sure the beaches that are at the holiday parks are both clean and safe for children, and gave some trips on where to find his favourites.

Earlier this year, Robbie revealed England’s top three underrated holiday parks – with private beaches, indoor water parks and jet skis for kids.

See the pic that ‘leaks’ MAFS reunion’s proposal was ‘scripted’ as fans say ‘I KNEW it was staged’

MARRIED At First Sight fans have accused Shona Manderson of staging her engagment at the reunion show after she posted a photo of Matt Pilmoor’s emotional speech.

Some viewers accused the couple of stealing the spotlight by staging a “pointless proposal” for TV.

They met on the series in 2023 but were invited back to share their love story success.

At the end of the episode Matt stood up and poured his heart out to her and offered her a ring.

Shona has now shared a photo of Matt’s speech and fans noticed that it included a prompt at the end for him to “give ring”.

Writing about it on Reddit, one said: “From Shona’s Instagram, I’m not a professional actor but I know a stage direction when I see one.”

One more said: “Anybody else find the promise ring thing just a bit… odd?

“Okay so you love each other and want to commit in the future.

“Lovely. Just say that and get engaged when you’re both ready.

“Definitely felt like it was done for the show.”

A third insisted: “It was really forced.”

Despite the sceptics, Shona and Matt‘s relationship has being going from strength to strength off camera.

Shona was originally coupled up with Brad Skelly on MAFS.

But Shona left the series because of their unhealthy relationship while Matt married Adrienne Naylor as the pair entered Married At First Sight as late entries.

The Sun was later the first to reveal how Matt and Shona were secretly dating, after they were spotted together in a Starbucks.

Today, Shona hit back at fans saying the semi proposal was pointless.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a video and said: “Thank you for the lovely comments you’re all so supportive we appreciate you!

“The low vibes we will ignore nobody can tell me it’s pointless & I’m not semi-engaged!

“Celebrate every milestone life is for living we must enjoy the magical moments.”

Continuing, Shona said: “Matty and I are so happy where we are in our relationship and we’re in no rush.

“Promise rings are so cute.

“I would love to know who else has a promise ring and the cute story behind it! Let me know in the comments.”

‘We think it’s a cliche’ – DWTS judge Karen Byrne and boyfriend Jake Carter open up on pressure to get married

DWTS judge Karen Byrne and her boyfriend Jake Carter have revealed they won’t be pressured to get engaged anytime soon.

The young stars became the original Dancing With The Stars couple back in 2018 when their romance brewed on the hit RTE series.

Karen and Jake have been together for over seven years

Karen was assigned as Jake‘s pro-partner on the series and the pair even went on the win the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Jake previously joked with RTE saying: “I secretly don’t want her to win with anyone else so I can keep saying that I was the reason we won.”

These days the couple lives together in Dublin and work at their beloved Jake and Karen Stage School, which is funded totally by the star‘s themselves.

And although they may be smitten with one another, it looks like their won’t be wedding bells anytime soon.

Jake admitted to EVOKE: “We think that’s a cliché. I think when you get when you’re with somebody for so long, that’s just the question everybody asks.”

Karen wholeheartedly agreed: “I don’t think it’s the be-all and end-all of a relationship really, is it?!’

The 32-year-old is six years older than her singer boyfriend, but the loved up pair have never been fazed by their age difference stating: “It doesn’t really matter to us.”

The Dublin beauty told EVOKE: “I think I’ve only seen the one article, and that was the only time that I actually thought about it.

‘Maybe it’s just me, like Jake’s brother was only slagging me the other day. He was like, ‘Karen, you barely know what age you are yourself!’ and I was like, ‘You know, it’s true’.”

This year, two-time winner Karen hung up her dancing shoes and took a seat beside longstanding DWTS judges Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond and Arthur Gourounlian.

Karen told The Irish Sun: “It will feel strange sitting on the other side of the desk. I can’t believe it — I have to pinch myself! It doesn’t feel real.

“I don’t think it will feel real until I sit in the chair. I’ve always looked at the judges’ seats and thought that must be the best seat in the house. Oh my god, I get to hold a (score) paddle!”

The Ballyfermot woman was a 24-year-old Latin dance champ with zero TV experience when producers cast her in series one of Dancing With The Stars in 2017.

Karen previously confessed: “I went into that show with not a clue what I had signed up for. I didn’t know about live TV. For instance, I didn’t know the red light meant we were live”.

ICONIC ROUTINE

Yet Karen choreographed one of the most celebrated dance routines in the history of DWTS when she did the ‘Dessie Swim’ with Sunday Game host Des Cahill.

Viewers watched as Des ‘swam’ across the dancefloor dressed as comic movie spy, Austin Powers.

One DWTS insider told The Irish Sun on Sunday: “Karen will be tough as nails as a judge because she’s done every dance.

“It’s a natural move, as Anton Du Beke started as a pro dancer on BBC’s Strictly and ended up as a judge.”

‘SHOW IN ITSELF’

While Head DWTS judge Loraine Barry has welcomed the move commenting: “Karen is fresh off the dance floor into the judging seat and I look forward to working with her.”

However things could heated with rival judge Brian Redmond, who regularly spars with Karen over his scores on the Sunday night show.

Brian joked: “It could almost be a show in its own right really, the guff that goes backwards and forwards”.

Commenting on her promotion to sit next to him, Brian said: “I’m sure she’ll challenge me, and maybe I’ll challenge her, but it all makes for great excitement ahead of the new year
