Celtic and Rangers away fan lockout officially OVER as Old Firm ticket deal thrashed out and allocations revealed

AWAY fans are officially BACK at Old Firm matches – starting with next month’s derby at Celtic Park.

A frustrating fan lockout has been in place for two years and the clubs have been at loggerheads ever since.

The dispute dated back to 2018 when Gers reduced the away allocation for all visiting fans – including Celtic.

Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic around 700 away supporters were allowed to attend games at Ibrox and Celtic Park.

But this fell apart after nasty scenes during the New Year‘s clash of 2023, with Celtic citing fears over fan safety as their reason for refusing future allocations.

Rangers also highlighted negative experiences for their fans at Parkhead and both sides have struggled to agree on a solution ever since.

The SPFL stepped in last season to demand that the two Glasgow rivals end their feud over access to visiting supporters.

An agreement was reached to allow a five per-cent away allocation at each venue, starting this campaign.

But the freeze on away fans continued after Celtic wrote to Rangers ahead of the first derby fixture of the current season to say they would NOT be welcoming travelling supporters for the September 1 match at Parkhead.

Celtic had spent a six-figure sum on planning for Rangers’ visit but they claimed the Ibrox club hadn’t done the same on their end.

Of course, at that time, the Light Blues were still playing out of Hampden after delays forced them to up sticks from Ibrox for several weeks to start the season.

Gers responded to the fall out and said they had been “taking all steps” towards the agreement, and returned the favour for the next derby at Ibrox by saying no Celtic fans would be allowed in.

But after constructive talks involving all parties, the March 16 meeting between the sides WILL see away fans welcomed back.

Celtic wrote: “We can confirm that following the previous SPFL determination from last year and with necessary requirements being addressed, away supporters will be present at the next two Glasgow derby matches this season at Celtic Park (March 16) and Ibrox.

“Allocations will be around 4% of saleable capacity at both stadia.”

Further ticket information will be provided in due course.

Rangers will then reciprocate in the post-split fixture at Ibrox.

How to style this season’s must-have fabric & the high-street pieces actually worth investing in

Collage of women's fashion outfits.

SUEDE definitely had a moment last season, and it seems this luxury trend is here to stay!

It can be an investment but, with the high street on board, there are some great pieces that won’t blow your budget.

And with an impressive 7 million Google searches recorded in the last 30 days alone, it’s clear this trend will remain a key feature for spring.

Not only does suede elevate an outfit by adding an instant touch of luxury, but the rich, high-quality fabric is also versatile and pairs beautifully with everything, from denim to crisp whites and cool neutrals.

If you haven’t yet incorporated suede into your wardrobe, or you’re on the lookout for fresh pieces to elevate your spring outfits, now is the perfect time to embrace this timeless fabric.

With so many options available on the high street, it can be challenging to determine which pieces are worth investing in, so our fashion experts have picked out their top buys, including some real bargains!

Last season, my suede jacket became a wardrobe staple, but it was so popular it sold out quickly.

Thankfully, high-street stores have caught on and there are now plenty of new-season suede pieces available.

If you’re looking to embrace suede this spring, I highly recommend starting with accessories.

I’ve been carrying a suede bag everywhere – it adds a luxurious touch to any outfit – and this one from Mango is the perfect size for fitting all my essentials.

I’m also on the hunt for a pair of lighter suede boots to transition into the warmer weather.

Thankfully, this pair from H&M are the perfect height for all-day comfort.

As much as I love my suede jacket, I’m branching out into trousers.

This pair from Zara are the perfect chocolate colour, and I love the classic straight leg as it never goes out of style.

Suede trousers are more versatile than a jacket, because when I get to work or I’m out for dinner, I always take my jacket off, then the look is ruined.

But I won’t be taking my trousers off!

As a welcome break from jeans, they’ll slip into my wardrobe and are great paired with day-to-day looks like this go-to grey cardi and trainers.

I’m also loving these new H&M trainers, which are a brilliant dupe of the £150 Mexico 66 Onitsuka Tiger trainers.

Suede has never gone out of fashion.

This soft luxurious fabric brings an expensive touch to any outfit without being brash or flashy.

I love pairing suede with either slouchy denim or crisp whites, because a suede jacket is the perfect item to either dress down or smarten up.

I always think there is something very European about wearing suede, so I have given my look a French spin with a Breton striped top and neck scarf, plus these super-cute three-tone loafers from Parisian brand Isabel Bernard – j’adore!

If the tan colour feels too bold, they’re also available in a stylish off-white and black option.

When the trend for suede blazers made a comeback on the high street last season, this H&M style flew off the shelves, quickly becoming the must-have item of A/W ’24.

As expected, other high-street brands have now jumped on the bandwagon, and now there are plenty of options, although some come with a hefty price tag.

This faux-suede blazer from River Island offers the perfect length and a vibrant shade ideal for spring, making it one of our top picks.

This bag is from Primark – we couldn’t believe it either!

A similar style from Marks & Spencer has sold out multiple times in recent months, but now you don’t need to wait.

Just run to your local Primark instead.

It’s the perfect size, making it a great option as a work bag that can easily fit a laptop and it’s £100 cheaper than the one from Marks & Spencer – a win-win in our eyes.

Hottest fashion trends of 2025

Fabulous’ Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street.

The East/West Bag

Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s’ shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber.

In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder.

They’ve been on runway models’ arms at nearly ever designer show – think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta – and are hitting the high street now, too.

Powder pink

Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025.

Pantone may say that it’s the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own.

If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour.

The shell jacket

The ’80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025.

We all know we’re likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket.

Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in ‘80s windbreakers’.

Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion!

The turn-up jeans

While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we’re styling them is different.

This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups.

For this look, size doesn’t matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good – but only as it’s just one single fold.

Peep-toe shoe

Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event.

After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style.

From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street.

Sheer blouses

See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life – until now.

Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S ’25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season.

Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.

Nestle recalls iconic breakfast cereal loved by kids and warns ‘do NOT eat it’

NESTLE has been forced to recall an iconic breakfast cereal and urges families to “not eat it.”

The cereal giant has warned customers that a rogue ingredient might be found in their breakfast bowl.

The food conglomerate has recalled Frosted Shreddies over health concerns[/caption]

Anyone who has grabbed themselves a packet of Frosted Shreddies has been told to toss it in the bin by Nestle.

The company fears a hard piece of sugar might be found in 14 specific batches of the cereal.

Both a 500g batch and a set of 40g boxes might be hazardous with affected Shreddie-fans being issued a refund.

If you have one of the following codes on your 500g cereal box you’ll be in for some cash back:

  • 42850952 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 42860952 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 42870952 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 42880952 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 42890952 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 42900952 (expiry date 07/2025)

The following 40g boxes were also affected:

  • 42913451 (expiry date 06/2025)
  • 42923451 (expiry date 06/2025)
  • 42933451 (expiry date 06/2025)
  • 43173451 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 43183451 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 43193451 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 43203451 (expiry date 07/2025)
  • 43233451 (expiry date 07/2025)

Customers were told to snap a photo of the batch code at the top of the pack and send it to Nestle to get their money back.

A spokesperson said: “Safety and quality is our first priority and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

This isn’t the first time food has had to be urgently recalled over customer safety.

Cheese products sold in Spar and Tesco Ireland were urgently recalled over “listeria contamination” fears.

The Food Standards Agency warned that dangerous bacteria could cause illnesses such as flu, sickness, diarrhoea and meningitis.

Shoppers were told “do not eat” the products and were offered a full refund.

There was another scare in Cheshire over an undisclosed ingredient in ice cream.

Cheshire Farm was forced to recall its Caramelized Biscuit Ice Cream as it contains undisclosed hazelnuts.

The FSA stated: “This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.”

What to do if someone is suffering an allergic reaction

  • Your skin, tongue or lips turn blue, grey or pale (if you have black or brown skin, this may be easier to see on the palms of your hands or soles of your feet)
  • You suddenly become very confused, drowsy or dizzy
  • Someone faints and cannot be woken up
  • A child is limp, floppy or not responding like they normally do

How to use an adrenaline auto-injector

This Morning chaos as Josie Gibson turns up late on crutches after A&E dash

THIS Morning has been left in chaos after host Josie Gibson turned up late – on crutches.

Josie hobbled into the studio after the show had got underway and revealed she’d suffered a horror accident while on holiday.

She said the accident ruined her trip to Dubai with her son[/caption]

The star, 40, was wearing a supportive boot and told co-host Alison Hammond she had suffered a bad injury while in Dubai.

Josie, who cryptically shared a snap of herself in A&E this week, had been on holiday with her son Reggie when the drama unfolded.

She explained how she had been cleaning her teeth in their hotel room bathroom when the vanity unit fell off the wall and smashed onto her foot.

Alison had opened the show on her own, telling viewers: “You’re probably wondering, ‘Why is Alison on her own?’

“Josie was meant to be hosting with me today but unfortunately she hasn’t turned up.”

Josie then hobbled into shot, as Alison exclaimed: “What’s going on? You’re on crutches!”

Josie told her: “I had a holiday disaster on the second day.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Dubai with my little boy, so we went to Dubai in half term.

“I was just brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot. It cracked over my foot.

“I spent whole holiday in my with leg in air and I was in a wheelchair.”

Josie was whisked to hospital in Dubai and was told she had fractured her foot.

However, after returning home to the UK, she was diagnosed with soft tissue damage.

Josie said the accident ruined the holiday, adding: “I wasn’t even able to make a sandcastle with my little boy.”

Alison told Josie “where there’s a blame, there’s a claim”, before presenting her with a gift.

Josie was handed a tinsel-covered mobility This Morning branded scooter, which she began riding around the studio.

She then told Alison that travelling by an aeroplane in a wheelchair had been a “nightmare, before praising disability campaigners who are fighting for it to be made easier.

Josie’s shock entrance on This Morning comes two days after she shared a photo taken in hospital on social media.

She had snapped a picture of a sign that directed patients to the ‘fracture & orthopaedic’ and ‘trauma assessment’ units.

The Bristolian telly star did not elaborate further on her hospital visit.

Scottish Premiership club’s ‘astoundingly good-looking’ matchday food divides fans – ‘It’s not a kids’ tea party’

GONE are the days of spearmint chewing gum and macaroon bars served from trays around the terraces.

Instead there’s scalding hot Bovril and a steak or scoth pie that’s stuck to the foil – food at the football can get a bad rap sometimes.

The 25th world pie championships were launched at Hampden earlier this year with Sunsport’s Killie legend Kris Boyd[/caption]

Not the famous Killie pie though.

The Ayrshire delight is renowned as one of the best in the SPFL – and is held in such high regard it’s sold in shops far away from Rugby Park.

But the Killie Pie appears to have a rival as clubs come up with alternative culinary delights to replace the staple diet of Saturday afternoons at Scottish football.

An internal rival no less.

And one that has been hailed a sweet success.

Well, with some fans at least.

To others, what’s being served up in Kilmarnock‘s family stand simply isn’t to their taste.

The dish has been profiled by popular social media account ‘Footy Scran’.

It highlights the best – and worst – of stadium snacks.

And 70 percent – more than 1500 X.com users – dubbed the dish of donuts, marshmallows and cream topped with Nutella ‘Scran’.

It featured on the site hours after Derek McInnes’ side faced Rangers on Wednesday night and costs £5.50.

It’s certainly different from a pie and bovril and one fan admitted: “I’m tempted to sit in the Killie end just for this.”

Another said: “Astoundingly good looking; scran and pass the insulin pen.”

A third joked: “Needs to be paired with the doner kebab pie.”

Kilmarnock’s dish of donuts and sweet treats was popular with online fans[/caption]

But it was maybe not one for the football purists who seemed to prefer a more traditional snack.

One replied: “It’s supposed to be a football match, not a kids tea party!”

Another cried: “Get in the bin. What is this – a hen night in Benidorm?”

And one Killie fan was on hand to explain: “Should be noted for context that this dish is only available in the Family stand – which is home fans only.

“None of the other three stands have anything just as sweet as this. It’s served from a food truck which is sited within the kids fun zone below the rake of the Moffat stand.”

Sour Cherry, Sweet Ricotta & Honey Pancake

Serves: 2
Prep time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 5 mins

Ingredients:
*125g plain flour
*1 egg
*300ml whole milk
*1tbsp butter, for frying
*2tbsp sour cherry conserve
*1tsp icing sugar
*4tbsp ricotta
*1 handful flaked almonds, toasted
*1 drizzle honey

Method:
1. Sift the flour and a pinch of salt into a mixing bowl, make a well and crack the egg in. Add half the milk and slowly stir into the flour. Beat to make smooth, and stir in the remaining milk. If you have time, let it stand for a few mins. Stir again before using.
2. Heat a small frying pan until hot, then turn to medium. Melt a knob of butter and ladle in enough batter to coat the base of the pan thinly. Swirl to spread evenly.
3. Cook for 2 mins, or until set and just crisping at the edges. Turn and cook the other side.
4. Meanwhile, stir a drop of warm water into the sour cherry conserve to loosen and whip the icing sugar into the ricotta.
5. Serve the pancakes, dust with icing sugar, if liked, and top with a spoonful of each topping, the almonds and a drizzle of honey.

*175ml milk
*75g wholemeal flour (or you can use spelt flour)
*½tsp baking soda
*1 egg
*1tbsp coconut oil, for frying
*1 handful pecans
*2 bananas, sliced 2cm thick
*2tbsp maple syrup
*4 heaped tbsp Greek yoghurt

Method:
1. Place the porridge in a large bowl and stir in a splash of the milk to loosen, then add the flour, baking soda and egg. Mix together, adding the rest of the milk slowly, until it’s the texture of thick double cream.
2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Pour enough batter into the pan to make a small, plump pancake. You might be able to fit a few in the pan. Cook for 2 mins, until just set. Flip and cook for 2 mins more. Cook in batches until all the batter is used. Remove and keep warm.
3. Place the pecans and banana slices in the pan, fry for 2 mins on each side until golden. Stir in the maple syrup, let it bubble for a second and serve over the warm pancakes with yoghurt.

Matcha, White Chocolate, Raspberry & Pistachio Layered Crepe Cake

Serves: 10
Prep time: 20 mins
Cooking time: 25 mins

Ingredients:
For the batter:
*30g unsalted butter
*2 eggs
*350ml whole milk
*260g plain white flour
*1 large pinch salt

For the ganache and to serve:
*25g unsalted butter, plus extra for for frying
*600ml double cream, 150ml for toppings
*2tsp matcha green tea powder, or berry/açaí powder (optional)
*150g white chocolate, finely chopped
*1tbsp runny honey
*100g raspberries
*25g roasted pistachios, roughly chopped

Method:
1. Wipe a 20cm frying pan with butter or oil using kitchen towel and place on a medium-high heat. Pour in 60ml of the batter mix, tilting the pan to create a thin layer. Cook for 1-2 mins, and when the underside is golden brown, flip the pancake over and cook for another 1-2 mins. Repeat to use up all the batter, then keep the pancakes in the fridge until you need them. The mix should make 12-15 pancakes.
2. To make the ganache, heat 300ml of the cream and the 25g butter in a small pan set over a medium heat, until hot.
3. If you’re using one of the matcha or berry powders, put the powder into a mixing bowl, add 1tbsp of the hot cream and stir until you have a thick paste. Add the chocolate to the bowl, then pour over the remaining hot cream and add the honey. Leave to stand for 1 min, then stir gently until the chocolate has melted. Or, if you’re not using matcha or berry powder, simply put the chocolate into a mixing bowl, add the hot cream and the honey, and stir to combine until silky smooth.
4. Allow the ganache to cool a little, then chill in the fridge for 4-5 hrs (or overnight) until very thick and beginning to set. Remove from the fridge, add 150ml of double cream and use a balloon whisk to beat the mixture by hand until it’s thick and can hold its own shape.
5. To assemble the cake, place a pancake on to a serving plate or cake stand, then use a spatula or the back of a spoon to spread over 1-2 tbsp of the ganache. Repeat to use all the pancakes, then chill for 15 mins to firm up. Meanwhile, to make your topping, whip the remaining 150ml of double cream to soft peaks.
6. Remove the cake from the fridge, spoon the whipped cream on the top, then decorate with the raspberries and scatter over the pistachios. Cut into wedges and serve, or cover and chill for a few hours until serving.

Buckwheat Pancake Cannelloni

Serves: 4
Prep time: 40 mins
Cooking time: 15 mins

Ingredients:
*6 eggs
*300g buckwheat flour
*1tsp salt
*400ml whole milk
*800g spinach, washed
*400g crème fraiche
*1 lemon, zested
*1 small handful thyme springs, leaves picked
*200g gruyère, beaufort or cheddar, grated
*1 pinch nutmeg, grated
*100g butter

Method:
1. Beat together 3 of the eggs. Place the flour and salt in a bowl and stir in the eggs. Mix the milk with 200ml water and slowly drizzle into the flour, beating until you have a batter the consistency of single cream. Cover with cling film and place in the fridge for at least 1 hr.
2. Meanwhile, make the filling. Put the spinach in a large pan (you will probably need to do half at a time), cover with a lid and place over a medium-high heat for about 5 mins, stirring a few times, until the spinach has collapsed and wilted down. Drain the spinach in a sieve, pushing with the back of a wooden spoon to squeeze out every last drop of liquid that you can. Put the spinach on a board, roughly chop and then transfer to a bowl.
3. Whisk the crème fraiche with the remaining 3 eggs, lemon zest, thyme and two-thirds of the cheese. Season with salt, pepper and a generous grating of nutmeg. Mix half of this through the spinach and set aside.
4. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4. Melt half the butter and stir into the batter. Melt 1tsp of the remaining butter in a heavy-based frying pan over a medium-low heat and, when hot, add one-eighth of the batter. Swirl it around the pan so that it is evenly coated, then allow to cook until bubbles appear on the surface, about 2 mins. Toss the pancake and cook for 1-2 mins on the other side. Continue with the remaining batter to make a stack of pancakes, laying baking parchment between each.
5. Spread a couple of spoonfuls of the crème fraiche mix over the base of a small oven dish. Spread one-eighth of the spinach mix along one edge of each pancake, then roll up and place in the oven dish, seam down. Once you have rolled all the pancakes, spoon over the remaining crème fraiche mix, sprinkle over the rest of the cheese and bake for 15-20 mins until golden on top. Leave to cool for a moment before serving with a green salad.

Why are products axed or recipes changed?

ANALYSIS by chief consumer reporter James Flanders.

Food and drinks makers have been known to tweak their recipes or axe items altogether.

They often say that this is down to the changing tastes of customers.

There are several reasons why this could be done.

For example, government regulation, like the “sugar tax,” forces firms to change their recipes.

Some manufacturers might choose to tweak ingredients to cut costs.

They may opt for a cheaper alternative, especially when costs are rising to keep prices stable.

For example, Tango Cherry disappeared from shelves in 2018.

It has recently returned after six years away but as a sugar-free version.

Fanta removed sweetener from its sugar-free alternative earlier this year.

Suntory tweaked the flavour of its flagship Lucozade Original and Orange energy drinks.

While the amount of sugar in every bottle remains unchanged, the supplier swapped out the sweetener aspartame for sucralose.

The best new beauty products – tried and approved by a beauty editor, including a £14 serum that does it all

Collage of beauty products and a woman.

I TRY tens, if not hundreds, of beauty products every month – but they’re not all created equal.

These are the best beauty editor launches of this month.

Person holding three beauty products: Benefit Roller Lash mascara, Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum, and Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm.

At the minute, everywhere I look, I see cherries.

Pinterest predicted the fruit would be a major theme this year, and it seems the social media site was right.

Cutesy cherries adorn supermarket pyjamas, celeb bikinis and, now, beauty products.

Glossier Black Cherry Collection, from £16

Glossier Black Cherry Collection, from £16, contains cherry-red shades of blush, lip liner, eyeliner and, my favourite, the lip balm.

It smells (and tastes) like tart cherry sweets, while delivering a universally flattering dark-berry tint that’s both hydrating and long-lasting.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm, £49

Another viral sensation, Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm, £49, is a limited-edition, upgraded version of the brand’s bestselling cleanser.

The cherry, almond and vanilla scent is so addictive, and makes removing my make-up feel like a treat rather than a chore.

Soap & Glory Limited Edition Cherry Wild Refreshing Body Wash, £4.99

Soap & Glory Limited Edition Cherry Wild Refreshing Body Wash, £4.99, is the latest cherry-themed product to make it into my routine.

It lathers well, leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturised, and the cherry scent is subtle enough not to be cloying or synthetic.

BEST NEW PERFUME

DIOR BEAUTY

Dior Miss Dior Mini Miss Solid Perfume, £67

Another major theme this month has been perfume.

My favourite of the lot is Dior Miss Dior Mini Miss Solid Perfumes, from £58, which I mistook for tinted lip balms when they landed on my desk.

Thankfully,  I clocked the scents before they got near my lips.

Available in three classic Miss Dior fragrances, you wind up the bullet and rub on to pulse points – genius!

Fenty Beauty Parfum Hair + Body Mist, £43

Fenty Beauty Parfum Hair + Body Mist, £43, shares the same rose, musk, tangerine and magnolia notes as Rihanna’s debut perfume, but it’s lighter and more subtle than the original spicy scent, which makes it perfect for spring.

Jo Malone London Taif Rose Cologne Intense perfume bottle.
JO MALONE
Take a chance on rose with this delicate cologne[/caption]

Jo Malone London Taif Rose Cologne Intense,  £112 for 50ml EDP

I’m usually not a fan of rose scents –  I generally gravitate to more unisex, fresh fragrances –  but from first sniff, I’ve been obsessed with Jo Malone London Taif Rose Cologne Intense,  £112 for 50ml EDP.

The rose comes from the Taif mountains in Saudi Arabia, where the cool climate means the rose isn’t at all heavy.

Plus, adding coffee and amber gives it a warming, invigorating twist that’s anything but old-fashioned, and makes it more gourmand than floral.

BEST NEW MAKE-UP

When it comes to make-up, larger-than-life, voluminous lashes are here to stay.

Benefit Bad Gal Bounce volumizing mascara.
BENEFIT
This mascara sweeps lashes to new heights[/caption]

Benefit Badgal Bounce Mascara, £27

Benefit Badgal Bounce Mascara, £27, has an innovative double-sided brush so you can load up your lashes with the ultra-black pigment right from the root, then comb it through to ensure there are no clumps.

I’ve been using it most days, and there’s an adorable mini version that has become a mainstay in my handbag.

Rabanne mascara and wand.
RABANNE
Boost lash health with this volumising mascara[/caption]

Rabanne Rockstar Mascara, £29

Just as volumising, Rabanne Rockstar Mascara, £29, contains conditioning castor oil to keep lashes strong and boost growth, and the XXL fibre brush has 600 bristles to catch every lash.

The one-step process makes it slightly quicker to apply than Benefit’s, but the latter’s smaller brush means you’re less likely to accidentally get mascara on your nose or brow bone.

Why do women lose hair in winter?

Anabel Kingsley, Consultant Trichologist and Brand President at Philip Kingsley spoke exclusively to Fabulous.

You can experience increased hair fall in winter for many reasons, such as due to dietary changes, illness, stress levels and compromised scalp health.

We do know that dandruff and a flaky scalp are more common in winter, which in turn can increase hair fall. People also tend to shampoo less often in the winter, which can lead to the illusion you are losing more hair than usual. The more days you leave between cleansing your scalp, the more hairs you will see when you do as they accumulate.

Another thing to note is that winter is flu season, and high fevers usually cause hair shedding. Due to the nature of the hair growth cycle, you don’t notice hair fall straight away – it takes from six to 12 weeks for it to occur.

BEST NEW SKINCARE

Wildsmith Skin is one of the most under-rated British skincare brands.

Every beauty editor I know loves it, but it flies under the radar outside of beauty circles.

So, consider this my attempt to change that.

The brand launched not one, but two treatment mists this month, and they’re both phenomenal.

Wildsmith Skin Stillness Pillow Mist bottle.
WILDSMITH SKIN
Refresh on the go with these innovative mists[/caption]

Wildsmith Super Treatment Mists, £40 each

Wildsmith Super Energising Treatment Mist, £40 contains uplifting daisy, lemon balm, bergamot and camomile alongside hyaluronic and amino acids to hydrate and brighten skin.

Wildsmith Super Moisturising Treatment Mist, £40 contains the same hyaluronic and amino acid blend, as well as comforting rose, neroli and calendula to soothe reactive, irritated skin.

I use them interchangeably, both on a clean face after cleansing, but also over make-up during the day when my face starts to feel tight or dry.

If you have  a beauty-obsessed teen in your life (or maybe you’re spending as much time on TikTok as Gen Z), you may have already heard about the next two new launches.

Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum bottle.
BYOMA
Flood your skin with moisture while evening tone and texture[/caption]

Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum, £14.99

Byoma Phyto-Mucin Glow Serum, £14.99, is the vegan alternative to the snail slime K-beauty trend.

If you can get past the slimy texture, it’s a real powerhouse. Fear not, once on skin it isn’t sticky, and it hydrates while evening out tone and texture – I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t benefit from slotting it into their routine.

I’ve been struggling with dry skin this month, and the morning after I first used the serum my skin immediately felt better – so I’ve been using it twice a day since.

The Ordinary Multi-Active Delivery Essence bottle.
the ordinary
Moisturise, soften and increase skin luminosity[/caption]

The Ordinary Multi-Active Delivery Essence,  £10.60

The Ordinary Multi-Active Delivery Essence,  £10.60, also suits all skin types.

Glycerin, propanediol and glycogen work together to moisturise, soften and increase luminosity, and the water-like consistency pairs well with all skincare formulations, so you won’t have to change your  routine.

It’s also been clinically proven to double the penetration of The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, £5 – given niacinamide is my favourite skincare active, it’s a perfect match!

I fought Anthony Joshua for £5,000 but now live new life as a bailiff and expose some of the biggest secrets in boxing

PAUL BUTLIN was once a heavyweight fighting the likes of Anthony Joshua – but now he is a TikTok star from his van exposing boxing’s secrets.

Butlin, now 48, boxed top names in his career including Derek Chisora and Joshua before retiring in 2016.

Butlin is a big hit on TikTok exposing boxing’s secrets

Nowadays, he works as a debt collector while becoming a surprise hit on TikTok where he has almost 40,000 followers and millions of views.

No longer at risk of getting on the wrong side of promoters or managers, Butlin pulls back the curtain on boxing’s dark side.

Blowing the whistle on fighters’ pay, matchmaking and failed drug tests are all part of the reason fans can’t get enough of Butlin’s channel.

And he tells SunSport: “I just started making boxing videos and people seem to like the real side of me, because all they see is like Conor Benn and people like this.

“They just think you’re gonna make millions, so I’m just trying to distract people to the other side of it.

“The real side of boxing where you’ve got graft just to live really.”

His controversial claims have included suggesting several top but nameless boxers use performance enhancing drugs.

Butlin alleged in one video: “All the big names, I’m not gonna mention, I know they’re on it.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

“I’ve been training in gyms since 16-years-old, I know who’s on gear, who ain’t on gear. I can tell with the power.”

And he believes Jake Paul’s eight-round points victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson in November was an example of a rigged fight.

He said: “The whole fight was a fix, I watched it. Absolute b****s.

“He hardly threw a punch, (Tyson) could have knocked him out at any time. Absolute fix, the game is a con.”

Paul and his Most Valuable Promotions company did release a statement to deny accusations of the bout being fixed.

Butlin – a former bouncer – went viral himself when a video emerged of him having a row while collecting a debt.

Little did the man recording know that he was dealing with one of Britain’s most respected and experienced heavyweights.

But Butlin said: “It’s just one of them that you get used to. I’ve got nothing to prove, do you know what I mean?

“I don’t stand – even when I work at the door – I didn’t stand there and saying, ‘Well, I’m a professional boxer.’ Do you know what I mean? Or I used to be a professional boxer.

“I just am what I am, and then people can abuse me. That is part of the job.”

Butlin opened up about being verbally abused during his day job[/caption]

When Butlin speaks about boxing, fans will listen.

After all, he’s not a pretender with a big social media following, he has experienced it all in the ring.

Butlin only started his amateur career at 26 and turned pro after just two years and 12 bouts.

He went 4-0 before losing to Paul Buttery – in what he admits was a step up too soon in his career.

An up and down run of performances and results then forced the East Midlands man to the away corner to make reasonable money.

He said: “I realised the only way I could make money without selling tickets is going on the road if you like.”

Butlin also made a name for himself sparring the likes of Tyson Fury before the Gypsy King became a world champion superstar.

In fact, Butlin first crossed paths with Fury while the future British legend was still a teenager and knew he was destined for greatness.

First jab he hit me with – and I told this story before – I was like, Jesus! It was like a right hand off a good heavyweight. That’s how strong he was.

Paul Butlin on Anthony Joshua

Butlin revealed: “Even after sparring him the first time, I said to him, ‘You’d beat most heavyweights now.’

“Obviously at the time I was sparring Matt Skelton, Pele Reed, loads of heavyweights.

“I said, ‘Mate, you beat all these heavyweights now as an amateur.’ That’s what I told him.

“And then he invited me up where he couldn’t get sparring. I went up to Manchester, I went to his uncle’s who sadly passed away.

“Tyson was living in a caravan back of there, and he was training in like the barn.

“And then I went to an amateur club in Manchester, so probably two or three times I sparred him, always got on well with him, he always looked after me and yeah, he’s a good lad.”

Butlin also helped welcome Joshua to the world of professional boxing – one year after AJ won Olympic gold in London.

And he admits to being blown away by the sheer power of Joshua – even with his lesser left hand jab.

Butlin said: “I squared with him in the casino where we had the weigh in, I looked at him and I thought, ‘Mate, you’re having it!

“Got in the ring, I wasn’t even bothered. I thought, ‘Do you know what, you’re having it! I’m fit as a fiddle.’

“First jab he hit me with – and I told this story before – I was like, Jesus! It was like a right hand off a good heavyweight. That’s how strong he was.

“I went back to Carl Greaves first round, and said, ‘Mate, I can’t deal with him.’

“He goes, ‘What are you on about?’ ‘I can’t deal with his power.’ He hits that hard.

“And the only reason I got up after that big shot is because I was fit. I mean, I had nine stitches in my eye. Great shot. I can’t fault him.”

Fans would assume fighting Joshua is a top payday – but Butlin is open in admitting he made just a tiny £5,000.

He said on reflection: “At the time I was working, I had my gym. I think we just got married. We had young kids, five grand helps.

I’ve been training in gyms since 16-years-old, I know who’s on gear, who ain’t on gear. I can tell with the power.

“Looking back now, obviously the older you get I’m a bit gutted I didn’t get more. But that’s life, innit? You’re gonna take it.

“If you don’t take it, someone else is gonna take it. So £5,000 at the time was a lot of money, and I just thought, ‘Yeah, why not?'”

But Butlin also caused damage of his own – just ask Chisora.

London’s veteran fan favourite once revealed Butlin was the hardest-hitting opponent he ever faced.

Chisora claimed Butlin hit so hard he had to get the referee to check his gloves and make sure it wasn’t loaded with weights in it.

“He never told me that afterwards,” Butlin says with a laugh.

Butlin’s career on the road as the opponent was filled with short-notice bouts.

Sometimes it was only 24 hours notice, other times while he had a BROKEN HAND.

But Butlin always showed up – until he packed it in to tell the tales on the grubby boxing business.

And while his career in the ring, all across Europe, may have gone unnoticed among some fans, his boxing exposes on TikTok certainty aren’t.

Butlin gets dozens of requests and questions sent in by his TikTok fans – but did he ever expect to be such a hit among social media?

He said with a grin: “No, not really. I thought, it’s bald old Paul just making videos.”

Heartbreaking moment Masked Singer’s Davina McCall breaks down and reveals ‘difficult year’

DAVINA McCall became tearful as she opened up about her tough year after her brain surgery.

The TV star, 57, choked up during a powerful chat with broadcaster Cindy Gallop, who asked how women could build confidence at a younger age.

Davina confessed she’s been struggling with people-pleasing and trying to truly find herself after a whirlwind of personal struggles.

Cindy, the founder of pro-sex site MakeLoveNotPorn, told her: “You know, people say to me, ‘Cindy, how do you get to be this confident?’

“I go, 65 years of life. But I want to shortcut that process for everybody else.”

Cindy explained that true confidence comes from knowing yourself.

She added: “Take a long, hard look inside yourself and identify what you believe in, what you value, what you stand for, what you’re all about. What are your truths?”

Her words hit Davina hard, and The Masked Singer judge replied: “Cindy, hold my hands again.

“I’ve just had a feeling. Oh my God, I feel like I’m gonna cry.”

The TV star, who had surgery last year to remove a benign tumour, admitted the experience left her feeling trapped in her own fear.

Welling up, she added: “I had a lot going on last year …

“And part of me has always been a people pleaser. Doing things that other people want me to do, or expect me to do. And I realised I wasn’t free.”

Davina shared how watching her partner Michael grow into himself inspired her to want the same for herself.

She added on the How To Have A Great Sex Life podcast: “We were at a party, and something happened. I looked at him, and I was like, wow, look how happy he is.

“He was kind of throwing some shapes, doing this thing, and I thought, oh my God, he’s so free.”

The presenter underwent an operation to remove a benign tumour in November.

Davina was diagnosed with a benign but very rare tumour purely by chance after being offered a scan a few months ago.

The star  — mum to Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18, from her former marriage to TV presenter Matthew Robertson — sought further medical advice before opting for a craniotomy.

‘3 in 1m’ colloid cyst is benign

By Sam Blanchard, Health Correspondent

DAVINA’S brain tumour is a rare type of growth called a colloid cyst and is benign, meaning it is not cancerous.

It will not spread to other parts of her body so it is less dangerous than a malignant tumour.

Benign tumours often need removing because as they grow, they put pressure on important parts of the brain — potentially crushing nerves or cutting off the flow of blood.

Colloid cysts only affect about three in every one million people. They are thought to be present from birth and grow slowly over time.

The cysts may only be found once they cause symptoms — such as headaches and memory trouble — or during tests for other conditions.

Doctors often choose to watch and wait if the tumour is small or they may remove larger ones.

I was prescribed yoga for anxiety – 18 months later I had open heart surgery and 204 ‘cancerous lumps’ removed

An image collage containing 2 images, Image 1 shows A young woman in a hospital bed with scars on her chest and neck from cancer surgery, Image 2 shows Woman with chest and neck scars from cancer surgery takes a selfie in a bathroom mirror

A WOMAN’S chests pains were dismissed as anxiety and she was told to do yoga and meditation.

But 18 months after being fobbed off, doctors discovered hundreds of cancerous lymph nodes in her body.

Saskia Clark underwent a bilateral neck dissection so doctors could remove 204 cancerous lymph nodes, as well as open heart surgery to remove a tumour in her chest.

The 24-year-old is now navigating life post-op and getting used to sporting red scars around her neck and down her sternum.

After sharing her story on TikTok in posts garnering up to 5.5 million views, Saskia often gets comments from people on her scarring – but has learned to embrace it.

“Surprisingly, the scars don’t bother me at all,” Saskia, a social media manager based in Manchester, said.

“I think your perspective changes after going through something like this – things feel way more real, that caring about my appearance is not something high on my list.

“I do feel though, as women especially, there’s so much focus and stigma on our appearance, especially after cancer, and especially now with social media and the younger generations wearing makeup as young as nine.

“I wanted to show how there’s no need to be scared about it, that it’s something to be proud of and to embrace because, ultimately, we only get one body and one life, and we need to be kind to it.”

Saskia underwent a total thyroidectomy, a bilateral neck dissection for lymph node removal, and a sternotomy – open heart surgery – to remove a tumour in her chest.

She went on to spend eight days in intensive care, and then moved to a ward for a further four days before being discharged.

The “intense” treatment followed a shock cancer diagnosis in August 2024 – 18 months after she first raised concerns about her health.

Saskia had been in good health, rarely drinking, never smoking and keeping active when she started suffering chest pain.

Having struggled with anxiety and fatigue in the past, she says doctors initially thought her long working hours were to blame.

She claims they even told her to try several wellness activities including yoga, meditation and acupuncture, to try and ease symptoms.

After “countless appointments”, a CT scan finally found the more sinister cause, and Saskia was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer.

‘Difficult recovery’

Having undergone the surgeries late last year, Saskia has since been focusing on her recovery.

She said of the experience: “Intense is how I’d describe it, a real whirlwind.

“You don’t ever expect to be somewhere like intensive care, and it really shifts your perspective on life, being around such incredibly vulnerable people fighting for their lives.

“Recovery has been really difficult.

“You don’t realise how hard relearning things really is – we’re so hardwired to get on with life that when you’re faced with something like this where you can’t, it’s so confusing.

“Little things like not being able to wash my own hair, or walk up the stairs, make my own cup of tea.

She had to get used to needing help with groceries and washing her hair[/caption]

“It’s taken me about 10 weeks to be anywhere close to feeling like I can manage little things alone, and even then I have my off days.

“I ended up in A&E a few times post-op with swelling and pain issues, and I’ve had to use a wheelchair for things like long distances, which is an entirely new experience and really makes you appreciate your ability to be independent.

“I can’t go anywhere alone still, and I can’t carry weight or be unaided in case of emergencies.

“I also wear a neck brace to support my neck so things like crossing the road alone are a no go.”

One of her vocal cords was also paralysed during an operation, leaving Saskia with a huskier, quieter voice.

‘Stronger every day’

Saskia was told that her cancer is chronic, though doctors are confident symptoms can be managed.

And Saskia is determined not to let her prognosis, her scarring, or any other changes get the best of her.

She added: “I’m getting stronger every day.

“Since sharing [videos of my scars online], I’ve received such positive responses and receive so many messages from other people who’ve either felt their symptoms weren’t addressed, or felt self-conscious about their scars or bodies.

“It’s been really rewarding to hear people’s appreciation for me simply sharing my scars.

“I think it offers a lot of perspective too, we push our health to the bottom of the list, and seeing my story really shocks people and reminds them to take their health seriously.”

What is medullary thyroid cancer?

There are many different types of thyroid cancer.

Most start in the follicular cells, but a small number start in the C cells. These are called medullary thyroid cancers.

This type of cancer is rare. About a quarter of cases are caused by an inherited faulty gene which runs in the family.

Medullary thyroid cancer can spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver or lungs.

The most common symptom is a mass or lump in the neck, which may be painful.

But people can also experience:

  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Problems breathing
  • A hoarse voice, pressure
  • Discomfort in the neck
  • A red face
  • Diarrhoea
  • Weight loss
