One of St Mirren’s Rangers goal heroes to leave the club this summer while the other weighs up contract
STEPHEN ROBINSON has confirmed Toyosi Olusanya and Richard Taylor will leave St Mirren at the end of the season.
Striker Olusanya and defender Taylor have been mainstays of the Buddies success story over the past two seasons.

But boss Robbo revealed they have rejected new deals after being offered THREE times as much as the Paisley side can afford.
The Buddies have opened talks to try to persuade frontman Mikael Mandron to extend his spell.
Robinson said: “We’ve put our best offers to Richard and Toy and they won’t be signing. They’ve been offered probably three times what we could offer.
“I’m led to believe that from agents anyway – whether that’s true or not!
“There’s only a certain level this club can go to. That’s just the reality. We’re already trying to recruit players Martin Foyle’s looking in those positions to try and strengthen should both boys move on. If they do, they’ll move with our best wishes.
“Mika Mandron was offered a new contract three weeks ago now. We’re speaking to him and we’ve got two other players we’ve offered contracts to that we’re waiting on answers for as well.”
Robinson comes face-to-face with fellow Northern Irishman Rodgers this afternoon when Celtic come to town.
The pair never crossed paths growing up but Robbo revealed the Hoops boss has become a trusted advisor.
He said: “Brendan has been really good with me in terms of support when I’ve needed it when I pick up the phone to him.
“It can be about different things. Some bits and pieces outwith football as well. It can be when I’m looking to sign players and trying to get some of his players.
“It would be good if he’d give me one of them every now and again! Lots of different things like advice on how to handle certain situations.
“He’s been there, he’s managed at higher levels than me. If you can pick people’s brains, and I certainly don’t know the answer to everything, then you can try and help each other.
“I think Brendan’s done that for a lot of managers. What he’s done has been brilliant for Scottish football. I’m one of these people who when teams play in Europe I’m desperate for the Scottish sides to do well.
“There’s no tribal rivalry. Celtic’s performances against Aston Villa and Bayern Munich were brilliant. What a game the Bayern one was.
“It didn’t look like the same sport I see in Scotland sometimes. It’s credit to him.
“He’s probably built two teams within that squad and got better year on year with the quality of players he’s brought in and their style of play.
“That’s what everyone’s trying to get to. But it’s very, very difficult.”
Following tomorrow’s clash the Buddies have a free weekend after being KO’d from the Scottish Cup, meaning Robbo will give some of his regulars some rest.
The midweek loss to Hearts saw them slip out of the top six and Robbo added: “We’ll give all of them Monday off then boys who haven’t played regularly will be doing a mini pre-season on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
“We will look after the boys who have played a lot – your Marcus Frasers and Alex Gogics for example. They play week in, week out without moaning, without complaining.
“We need to reset them, refresh them and have them ready to go for the Motherwell game. Then we have another little break so it’s worked out quite well.
“By then, Alex Iacovitti will be fit and Conor McMenamin hopefully won’t be too far away then we can hit the last four games running.
“If you watch us play there’s a lot of energy in our performance and a lot of energy expended in how we press. We don’t sit back, we don’t play on the counter.
“We press teams aggressively for 96 minutes and sometimes rest is as good as the actual training sessions, especially for those boys who are playing.”

Sir Keir Starmer slams demands for Brits to give up two kebabs per week for Net Zero
SIR Keir Starmer has skewered demands for Brits to give up two kebabs a week to hit Net Zero targets.
The PM hit back at climate experts urging people to swap meat for beans and grains.

He said: “I’m not in the business of telling people how they should run their lives.
“I am absolutely clear we are going to get to clean power, and absolutely keep our commitment to Net Zero because it’s so important for the next generation and those to come.
“That does not mean telling people how to run their lives.
“That’s not the right way to go about it.”
Calls to slash meat and dairy consumption came in the Climate Change Committee’s latest report setting out a path to Net Zero.
It claims ditching two meat main meals a week, such as kebabs or cooked breakfasts, would help keep the UK within safe climate limits by 2040.
Other controversial and costly proposals include replacing gas boilers with heat pumps, and raising flight taxes.
However, the report insists that air travel could still expand by ten per cent while meeting emissions targets.
