The former star of The Only Way Is Essex said she was “paralysed by upset” as she shared the link to a petition to end animal testing.

Gemma has encouraged her fans and followers to sign a petition to immediately ban the use of dogs in scientific and regulatory procedures.

Taking to her Instagram stories on Tuesday morning, the blonde beauty rocked some pink Hello Kitty pyjamas as she ditched makeup for an emotional video.

“Good morning guys,” Gemma began the video sombrely.

“My day hasn’t gone as planned because [I’ve] obviously seen the disturbing videos of those dogs,” she said, choking back tears.

She explained how the video had affected her so much.

“We’re gonna save the dogs,” she added.

“Animals are sat in parliament last year and animals don’t need to be tested on anymore,” she went on.

She then referred to the video that brought her to tears when she said: “And you’re all gonna watch it, and I hope none of you are gonna turn a blind eye to it.”

Becoming even more emotional, Gemma said: “My day has totally blown up by this, let alone the dogs.

“I mean, I’m just paralysed today, with upset, for the dogs.

“To think, them animals,” she signed off.

The petition, which is on the UK Government and Parliament website, is described as the “first step to end animal testing”.

The petition reads: “We want an immediate ban for dogs.

Everything to know about Gemma Collins

“They are commercially bred in what we see as bleak and inhumane factory-like conditions.

“We believe there is evidence suggesting that dogs are left being unattended for extended periods in a Government-licenced establishment.”

Gemma shared the link to the petition on her Instagram page several times.

She shared the link alongside the video that left her feeling upset.

And then she shared it again alongside the video of her talking to fans.

The petition has now had over 150,000 signatures.

‘Wow you look so much younger’ people cry as mum, 51, wipes ‘years off her face’ by REMOVING a makeup step

WE all have a tried-and-tested make-up routine that we reckon compliments our features the best.

But after years of sporting the same eye make-up look, one woman shaved years off her face by ditching one popular step – and people can’t believe the difference.

The blonde beauty and TikToker Jen Jeep joked that it wasn’t until she hit menopause in her 50s that she realised she had fallen victim to ”eyeliner blindness”.

Before that, Jen would ”religiously” apply jet black liquid eyeliner on the bottom waterline – a key step in her routine for the past five years.

”It was pointed out to me that this is no longer in style, that this is no longer acceptable.

”I just don’t understand how black eyeliner could ever, ever go out of style underneath your eyes – I was planning on wearing this until I was 85.

”The kids would be taking me to the nursing home and the first thing that I would do is ask ‘Did you pack your mum’s black eyeliner?’,” she joked in a recent video.

But although getting used to the more natural look was by no means easy – with Jen bravely admitting she wasn’t sure whether she’d even make it past an hour – the mum eventually got there.

It’s now been more than a year since Jen ditched the heavy eye make-up look – a milestone which she celebrated by posting an epic transformation video on her page.

The video, which has been viewed close to a whopping 750k times in just two weeks, sees Jen sharing what she looked like before the makeover – and after giving up the black eyeliner.

Not only did the viewers insist her eyes looked brighter, but hundreds of people were stunned by how much youthful and fresh Jen appeared.

One social media user was lost for words, writing: ”Wow! You look so much younger and fresh faced makeup free.

”Crazy how much of a difference it makes. Beautiful.”

Someone else chimed in: ”THAT TOOK OFF YEAAAARRRRSSS.”

”You look PHENOMENAL,” a third commented.

”You most certainly do not look 51!” said another person, as many reckoned Jen now looked like a famous Baywatch star.

Biggest beauty mistakes

Fabulous' Beauty Editor Tara Ledden has shared the do's and don'ts when it comes to beauty.

“No matter how much time and money you spend on your beauty routine, if you’re not getting the basics right, the rest is wasted.

“There aren’t many non-negotiables, but these are the biggest beauty mistakes sabotaging your regime.”

  • Not wearing SPF: Sun-damage is the main cause of premature skin ageing, so if you want to keep your skin looking plump and glowing, sun cream is vital.
  • Using expired products: Best case, they’re ineffective and don’t deliver the results they promise, worst case they cause irritation and infection. The shelf life of beauty products differ – for example, mascara is usually good for 3-6 months while lipstick can last for 9-18 months. Check the ‘POA’ symbol on the packaging (it looks like a jar and will have a number inside for how many months it’s safe once opened. If you can’t remember when you opened your product, throw it away and start again, marking the month and year with a permanent marker on the packaging.
  • Not knowing your undertones: If you’re using make-up with the wrong undertones, it’ll never look natural no matter how much you blend it! An easy trick to work out whether you have cool, warm or neutral undertones is to check the veins on your wrist – if they look blue, you have cool undertones, if they’re green, you have warm and if they’re a mix you have neutral.
  • Skipping heat protector: It might feel unnecessary, but much like sun damage on the skin, excess heat is the most common cause of hair damage. So, if you want shiny, healthy hair, or you’re trying to grow it longer, using a heat protection product is key.
  • Not washing your face before bed: it’s as simple as this, if you’re not washing your face before you go to sleep, everything that’s been on your skin during the day is sitting there for even longer, clogging your pores and drying out the surface. Any skincare applied on top isn’t going to be effective with a layer of dirt underneath, and you’re probably going to end up with dirty pillows too – yuck!

One mum wrote: ”I’m telling my kids this is Pamela Anderson.”

Responding to all the kind comments – almost 400 so far- Jen also noted that saying goodbye to her eyeliner routine was all thanks to TikTok users.

”I’ve come so far, and it’s all because of all of you on here.

”Habits. All of them. Are hard to break. Love all of you for getting me here.”

She went on: ”I look back at these pics and was like why didn’t I see it. Definitely had black eyeliner blindness.”

Dublin weather: Sunshine hits capital after record 11-day gloom as Met Eireann warn of gale force winds & rain in DAYS

IRELAND will be battered by heavy wind and rain this weekend – and Dublin does not look set to escape the miserable weather.

The capital today experienced its first taste of sunshine after it went 11 days with zero hours of sun, marking the longest-running sunless streak since records began.

And after the sun made its return across Dublin today, people were warned to make the most of the brighter conditions while they last.

Forecasters have warned that a powerful weather event is hurtling in from the Atlantic and towards Ireland’s coasts, with conditions set to take a turn on Saturday night.

And fears are growing that conditions, which experts have said may be named as a storm by Met Eireann, could cause power outages and travel disruptions, though neither would be on the scale of Eowyn.

Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel confirmed that there will be two very windy episodes, each bringing strong to gale force winds, hitting Ireland this week.

The weather boffins said the first windy episode will hit on Thursday night into Friday – and Dublin can expect to be impacted.

He explained: “Southerly winds bringing some locally strong gusts to coastal areas of the west, south and east of the country with some disruption to services possible. The strongest winds will reach up to 100km/h.”

Met Eireann said conditions will be mostly dry in Dublin on Thursday night before a wet and breezy rain extends from the southwest.

The weather bosses warned that the rain will be heavy in places, with localised flooding possible, but pinpointed the south as the expected worst-hit area.

The forecaster said: “The rain will be accompanied by strong and gusty southerly winds. Temperatures will not fall below 7C to 10C.”

Met Eireann said Friday will be another wet and breezy morning with widespread rain resulting in spot flooding.

But the forecaster confirmed that Dublin will dry up early on as the rain starts to clear eastwards in the morning and early afternoon with sunny spells and scattered showers following.

Met Eireann confirmed that there will be a chance of isolated thunderstorms and said temperatures will reach their highest that day between 10C and 13C.

Cathal Nolan from Ireland’s Weather Channel confirmed that the second bout of powerful wind will hit Ireland late on Saturday night and remain into Sunday morning.

Dublin is not likely to be hit as hard as other areas of the country during the second bout of weather, it has been confirmed.

Nolan said: “The second windy episode occurs late Saturday night into Sunday when an Atlantic storm passes close by the northwest coast of Ireland.

“This storm depression will bring wind speeds widely across the west and northwest of the country up to 100km/h, with localised gusts approaching 120km/h likely in exposed locations from Ceann Mhása to Mizen Head and on to Fair Head.”

FULL LIST OF STORM NAMES 2024/25

THE Irish meteorological service, along with the national weather services of the UK and the Netherlands, each contributed seven names to list of storm names for this season.

The new storms list runs from early September until late August the following year, coinciding with the beginning of autumn.

The system of naming storms was first launched in 2015 so that the communication of severe weather is easier.

And Met Eireann’s contributions were taken from a list of more than 500 suggestions by primary school children participating in ESB Science Blast last February.

Ireland contributed the names Conall, Darragh, Hugo, Izzy, Naoise, Poppy and Vivienne.

Letters Q, U, X, Y, Z are not included, which is in line with the US National Hurricane Centre naming convention.

The full list for 2024/25 is:

  • Ashley
  • Bert
  • Conall
  • Darragh
  • Eowyn
  • Floris
  • Gerben
  • Hugo
  • Izzy

Met Eireann said wet and “rather windy” conditions will move in from the west on Saturday night.

Dublin will remain dry at first but rain will become widespread in the morning as temperatures reach their lowest between 6C and 9C.

Looking towards Sunday, Met Eireann warned that it will be “rather windy” with strong to near gale force and gusty southwest winds, reaching gale force at the coast.

The forecaster said: “Heavy rain which may lead to spot flooding along Atlantic coastal counties will clear eastwards in the morning and early afternoon with sunny spells and scattered showers following. Highest temperatures of 11C to 14C.”

Assassin’s Creed III Introduced a Narrative Nuance Responsible for Becoming the Foundation For Many Future Titles

Although Assassin’s Creed III is one of the most divisive titles in the Ubisoft series, it excelled at narrative nuance. It should come as no surprise that the game’s opening sequences are set in the present, but it takes an interesting and rebellious turn once the narrative delves into the past via the Animus. In […]
