Monica and Joey might have been the first couple to get engaged on Love Is Blind season 8 but does their plain sailing start mean their still happily together after the show? Let’s find out.
27-year-old digital marketer Monica Danús and 34-year-old physician associate Joey Leveille quickly became this season’s “golden couple” when the latest season of Love Is Blind premiered on Feb. 14 and with a fresh batch of new episodes on Feb. 21, things are still going well.
In the pods, Joey’s upbeat, easy-going demeanor quickly earned him the title of “Golden Retriever boyfriend” and the pair soon bonded over their loyalty to their families. Joey revealed that he turned down several football offers from Division 1 schools to go to a college near home so he could support his two younger sisters after his third sister died and his parents divorced. Likewise, Monica opened up about leaving her last job to help care for her elderly grandmother.

After getting engaged in the pods, Monica and Joey took their romance to Honduras where things went off without a hitch. Back home, though, the couple hit a snag when Monica’s sister Nicolle expresses her reservations after meeting her sister’s fiancée for the first time. “[Joey] knows what people want to hear, and he’s really good at delivering it,” she tells Monica.
Monica does her best to make them see eye-to-eye, telling Joey she wants them to speak one-on-one. She also makes it clear that she won’t marry him without her family’s blessing.
But, given that Love Is Blind season 8 wrapped up filming in March 2024, what do we know about Monica and Joey’s relationship now?
Are Monica & Joey Still Together After ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8?
We don’t know for sure whether Monica and Joey are still together after filming Love Is Blind season 8 but these two do follow each other on Instagram so they at least appear to be on good terms.
Monica liked several of Joey’s posts between April 2024, shortly after filming for Love Is Blind ended, and November but has not liked any posts since which may be an effort to keep their relationship hidden as the show airs.
For his part, Joey was regularly liking Monica’s Instagram posts from April 2024 until October 2024.
Monica also may have implied she was single in a Feb. 2 Instagram post when she responded to a commenter who wrote, “Queen of Love is Blind.” Monica replied, “Just need my 👑 .” Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Do Monica & Joey Get Married on ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8?
We don’t yet know if Monica and Joey get married at the end of Love Is Blind, so far only one season 8 couple is confirmed to have tied the knot, but we do know for sure that they make it to the aisle.
In a teaser clip played at the end of episode six, there is a clear shot of Monica and Joey at the altar which is a lot further than some couple go on the show! However, fans of Love Is Blind know anything can happen at the altar so it is possible that they didn’t say, “I do.”
