It’s now more important than ever that Amazon’s Fourth Wing adaptation is developed perfectly, especially after Hulu’s A Court of Thorns and Roses TV show was canceled after nearly four years in development. The update is disappointing but not entirely shocking, as Hulu announced last year that it was no longer moving forward with the project—but there were hopes that 20th Century Television would bring the rights to another streamer. Unfortunately, this means an even longer wait time until fans of Maas’ fantasy series will see ACOTAR on-screen, leaving Fourth Wing to pave the way for upcoming romantasy adaptations.
