A radiator reflector is a tool designed to improve the efficiency of a radiator by reflecting heat back into the home rather than allowing it to escape through the wall.
They’re made of materials like aluminium or foil, and placed behind radiators to direct the heat into the room.
This can help reduce your heating costs and improve comfort by ensuring that more warmth is distributed throughout the room its in.
It reads on Aldi’s website: “Help to keep your home warmer in the winter with the SuperFOIL Radiator Reflector.
“Easy to install and can be cut to fit your radiator, it features an internal bubble structure for additional thermal performance.”
The product is from the hugely popular brand SuperFOIL and it comes in dimensions of approximately 0.6 x 3 metres.
It comes with bubble foil construction and built in adhesive strips which secures them in place against the wall.
What’s more, it cuts heat loss of up to 86 per cent and they’re cut to size to use behind any radiator.
The item is set to sell out quick, so shoppers must act fast.
This comes after Aldi Ireland has released lots of new winter staples including radiators for only €39.99 to help “conquer the cold snap”.
An oil-filled radiator is a type of heating device that uses oil as a heat reservoir.
The oil inside the radiator is heated by an electric element, and the heat is then radiated into the room.
These radiators are known for their ability to retain heat for a longer period of time even after they are turned off, making them perfect for homes during winter.
‘Perfect for cosy winter nights’
It reads on their website: “Get Set This Winter with Our Cost-Effective Oil Filled Radiator.
“It heats up quickly and stays warm long after the power is switched off. Perfect for cosy winter nights.”
The bargain buy has three heat settings and an adjustable thermostat – allowing buyers to choose what temperature they like.
It also has overheat protection and built in safety tip switches in place.
What’s more, it comes with easy moving wheels allowing you to transport it around the home.
The oil-filled radiator is available in stores nationwide on January 12.
THE HISTORY OF ALDI
The German discount supermarket chain came to Ireland in 1999.
Aldi’s first few shops opened in November 1999, with locations in Sandyford, Dublin, and Ballincollig, Cork.
By the mid-2000s, Aldi bosses had opened numerous stores, focusing on providing high-quality products at low prices.
As the recession hit 2008-2012, Aldi’s popularity grew as consumers became more price-conscious.
The supermarket giant continued it’s expansion in Ireland between 2013-2018, while refurbishing existing stores.
By 2018, Aldi had over 130 shops throughout the country.
The chain began to focus on expanding its range of Irish-made products and supporting local producers.
In 2023, Aldi had over 140 stores in Ireland.
The store invested in sustainability initiatives, such as reducing plastic packaging and increasing the availability of organic and eco-friendly products.
Aldi chiefs said: “At Aldi we are committed to supporting Irish suppliers. Developed in partnership with Bord Bia, Grow with Aldi is designed to help the very best Irish suppliers develop their brand.
“To date, we’ve invested €10 million in our Grow with Aldi development programme in a bid to find the very best Irish suppliers.
“As a result, for a limited time only there are over 47 new products, from 27 Irish suppliers available in store.”
Aldi have introduced technological advancements with self-checkout systems and contactless payment options.
