“Lucy left Corrie in about 2005, then we got married in 2009. We then split up after Sienna was born,” Alan told campmates Dean McCullough and Tulisa Contostavlos.

“I love what I’ve got, even now I’m on my own I love just being dad. I’ve never done dating apps,” he admitted.

The Coronation Street star then admitted that with dating apps, he wouldn’t know how to navigate them, exclaiming, “I don’t even know what I’d do!”

Tulisa then weighed in with her thoughts, “I’ve only done Raya [the celebrity dating app],” she explained.

She added: “I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.”

Alan and his ex-wife Lucy-Jo, who he mentioned while talking about his dating life, split in 2018.

The pair met on the set of Coronation Street and were then married in 2009, and in 2013, they welcomed their daughter Sienna-Rae.

The couple then called time on their marriage in March 2016 but rekindled their romance mere months later.

2018 then saw the pair split for good, with Lucy-Jo moving on with a new man and going public with him just two months later.

Lucy-Jo left Alan feeling “like a mug” when she fell for panto pal Lewis Devine, who played her title character’s best mate Muddles in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.

Then things took a turn when Lucy-Jo’s new man Lewis called Alan’s daughter Sienna his own on social media.

SOCIAL MEDIA BUST-UP

“You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one & call her your own! But not my daughter,” Alan hit back on social media.

Lucy-Jo previously opened up about Alan’s social media outburst to OK! Magazine, saying, “I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere.

“He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it. I didn’t bother bringing it up with him.”

“I didn’t bother bringing it up with him. Lew and I were both too focused on Carter so it just didn’t get our attention.”

CO-PARENTING CLASHES

Lucy-Jo then admitted at the time that co-parenting with her ex can be difficult as they sometimes clash.

She continued to the magazine, “The thing is, everybody who has a blended family knows it’s not easy. You can’t pretend that it is.

“And me and Alan sometimes have different views on raising Sienna so trying to co-parent can be challenging. It’s probably like that for a lot of blended families.”

I’m A Celebrity 2024

i’m A Celebrity is back for its 24th series, with a batch of famous faces living in the Aussie jungle. The Sun’s Jake Penkethman takes a look at the stars on the show this year…

  • Coleen Rooney – Arguably the most famous name in the camp, the leading WAG, known for her marriage to Wayne Rooney, has made a grand return to TV as she looks to put the Wagatha Christie scandal behind her. The Sun revealed the mum-of-four had bagged an eye-watering deal worth over £1.5million to be on the show this year making her the highest-paid contestant ever.
  • Tulisa – The popstar and former X Factor judge has made her triumphant TV comeback by signing up to this year’s I’m A Celeb after shunning TV shows for many years. Known for being a member of the trio, N-Dubz, Tulisa became a household name back in 2011 when she signed on to replace Cheryl on ITV show The X Factor in a multi-million pound deal.
  • Alan Halsall – The actor, known for playing the long-running role of Tyrone Dobbs on ITV soap opera Coronation Street, was originally signed up to head Down Under last year but an operation threw his scheduled appearance off-course. Now he has become the latest Corrie star to win over both the viewers and his fellow celebrities.
  • Melvin Odoom – The Radio DJ has become a regular face on TV screens after rising to fame with presenting roles on Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1 and 4Music. He has already been for a spin on the Strictly dancefloor and co-hosted The Xtra Factor with Rochelle Humes in 2015 but now he is facing up to his biggest challenge yet – the Aussie jungle.
  • GK Barry – The UK’s biggest social media personality, GK, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has transformed her TikTok stardom into a lucrative career. Aside from her popular social media channels, she hosts the weekly podcast, Saving Grace, and regularly appears on ITV talk show, Loose Women. • Dean McCullough – A rising star amongst this year’s bunch of celebs, Dean first achieved notability through his radio appearances on Gaydio and BBC Radio 1. He was chosen to join the BBC station permanently in 2021 and has featured prominently ever since. He has enjoyed a crossover to ITV over the past year thanks to his guest slots on Big Brother spin-off show, Late & Live.
  • Oti Mabuse – The pro dancer has signed up to her latest TV show after making her way through the biggest programmes on the box. She origianlly found fame on Strictly Come Dancing but has since branched out into the world of TV judging with appearances on former BBC show The Greatest Dancer as well as her current role on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
  • Danny Jones – The McFly star was drafted into the programme last minute as a replacement for Tommy Fury. Danny is the second member of McFly to enter the jungle, after Dougie Poynter won the show in 2011. He is also considered a rising star on ITV as he’s now one of the mentors on their Saturday night talent show, The Voice, along with bandmate Tom.
  • Maura Higgins – The Irish TV beauty first found fame on Love Island where she found a brief connection with dancer Curtis Pritchard. Since then, she has competed on Dancing On Ice as well as hosting the Irish version of the beauty contest, Glow Up. Since last year, she has been working on building up her career in the US by being the social media correspondent and host of Aftersun to accompany Love Island USA. She even guest hosted an episode of the spin-off, Love Island Games, in place of Maya Jama last year.
  • Jane Moore – The Loose Women star and The Sun columnist is braving the creepy crawlies this year. The star is ready for a new challenge – having recently split from her husband. It will be Jane’s first foray into reality TV with the telly favourite having always said no to reality shows in the past.
  • Barry McGuigan – Former pro boxer Barry is the latest fighting champ to head Down Under following in the footsteps of Tony Bellew and Amir Khan. It comes after a tough few years for Irish star Barry, who lost his daughter Danika to breast cancer. He told The Late Late Show in 2021: “She was such an intrinsic part of the family that every day we ache.”
  • Rev. Richard Coles – Former BBC radio host the Rev Richard Coles is a late arrival on I’m A Celebrity, and he’s ready to spill the beans on his former employer. The former Communards and Strictly star, said the BBC did not know its a**e from its elbow last year. An insider said: “Rev Coles will have a variety of tales to tell from his wild days as a pop star in the Eighties, through to performing on Strictly and his later life as a man of the cloth.”
  • Lucy-Jo and Lewis welcomed their son Carter in 2020, with the couple still together to this day.

Alan eventually moved on with Tisha Merry, who played Steph Britton in Coronation Street, but the pair split earlier this year after several years together.

“Alan and Trisha split pretty amicably, but Alan has been keen for a clean break and has well and truly moved on,” a source told The Sun.

“They have a lot of the same friends and Alan has been spending lots of time with his Corrie co-stars and just concentrating on being a great dad.”

    ‘WE GET ON GREAT’

Lucy-Jo recently broke her silence on Alan’s jungle stint.

Reacting to speculation about their relationship since splitting, Lucy-Jo said, “First of all, me and my ex have been divorced seven years.

“I actually can’t believe it’s a topic of conversation because it’s pretty boring.”

She continued, “We share Sienna 50/50. We communicate. She’s a happy kid. We get on great.

“We have to work out weekends – what we’re swapping, certain days he wants, certain days I want.

“We don’t want her missing out so we change things for each other.”

She went on, “Second of all, myself and Lewis will be sat down with Sienna watching the jungle. We wish him nothing but the best.

“We are going to be there for Sienna supporting her throughout this journey because, yes, she’s going to miss her dad.

“He’s in her life all the time, so this is quite a strange thing.”

She then concluded by signing off with, “He is who he is to you guys, but for Sienna, it’s her dad and we’re supporting her through that.”
