Celtic hero at centre of major injury riddle as he’s dramatically removed from line-up minutes before Dundee Utd clash

HE’S been Celtic’s best player this season by a distance – and perhaps an early favourite for the player of the year awards.

But Nicolas Kuhn is at the centre of an injury riddle tonight after he was dramatically PULLED from Brendan Rodgers‘ starting line-up for the clash with Dundee Utd just minutes before kick off.

The Northern Irishman named an unchanged line-up from the 3-0 win over St Mirren.

But there was a shock on the way for Hoops fans when they saw that Korean winger Yang was in the starting line-up, and NOT the German.

While it appeared that Kuhn was on the bench, that could merely have been an administrative matter.

In any case, any injury to the winger would be bad news for Rodgers, considering how reliant the Hoops have appeared on the star.

Rodgers had previously indicated he was keen to strengthen in the wide areas

The development occurred on the same day we told you how the Hoops are set to make an offer for 18-year old Hammarby starlet Bazoumana Toure, according to reports in Sweden.

It’s thought the Parkhead side have sent scout Jay Lefevre to Sweden to watch the Ivory Coast Under 20s star and he was impressed with his performances.

English Premier League outfit Brighton are also reportedly interested in him.

Hammarby’s sports manager Mikael Hjelmberg has confirmed that he expects Toure to become the club and country’s record transfer sale.

He said: “Of course, that’s definitely the ambition.

There are many clubs who ask about him and there are many clubs who are curious about what it would cost to buy him.

“But we have been quite clear about what we think – and that may also be why nothing concrete has come yet.

“I’ve told Bazou and his representatives that if we’re going to sell this winter, it should be for a Swedish record.”

Toure – who is under a long-term contract for another three years – made 23 starts for Hammarby in the Swedish top flight and chipped in with eight goals.
