A source said the intensifying chemistry between reality star Pete, 36, and Polish pro dancer Jowita, 30, is the talk of the show backstage.
They told The Sun: “The chemistry between them has been pretty clear since the moment they met.
“But the last few weeks something has changed and they’ve started seeing each other away from the show.
“They’ve tried to keep it low-key but they often travel together rather than getting separate cars to different locations.
“And they’re so tactile backstage — it has become pretty obvious something is going on.
“Everyone is talking about the fact they seem closer than ever.”
Motorbike-loving Pete, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, was seen on a date with Maura, 33, earlier in this year’s Strictly series.
But when the ex-Love Island star landed in Oz this month, she said: “I date, but I’m very much single.”
Jowita split from her long-term lover, dancer Michael Danilczuk, in 2022, the same year she won the BBC ballroom show with Hamza Yassin.
Our source went on: “It might be that Pete was waiting to see what was going to happen with Maura. They’re both single.
“And she clearly feels the same way from watching them away from the cameras, so good for them.”
