Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong widely known in the Gospel music industry as Great Ampong has refuted the suggestion that engaging in politics has affected his career.
He insisted that he’s one of the legendary figures in the music scene and his recent release titled ‘Apology’ has proven that his music career hasn’t been affected at all.
Talking to Amansan Krakye in an interview, he said “I have said that when you sing up to the legendary status in the music scene then it’s finished and I’m one of the legends in the Gospel industry.
“Doing politics or engaging in a political campaign for NPP hasn’t brought down my music career because even the apology song I released is trending.
“When you check YouTube it is one of the most trending songs and this is the first time YouTube has placed my song on their chart as one of the most streamed songs.
“So there is no way anyone can say that engaging in politics has threatened or killed my career because I’m a professor of music so I’ve done everything already,” he added as MyNewsGh.com reported.
