Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has engaged with market women, head porters (kayayei), and other traders at Makola Market, listening to their concerns and expectations ahead of the 2025 Budget presentation scheduled for Tuesday, March 11.
Following the interaction, Dr. Forson described the experience as a privilege, recognizing the crucial role these traders play in supporting Ghana’s economy.
“It was a privilege to interact with these hardworking Ghanaians who break their backs daily to support our economy,” he stated.
In a separate post, he reiterated the importance of the engagement, emphasizing the significance of hearing directly from those who contribute to the country’s economic activities at the grassroots level.
