I tried Aldi’s new £4.99 anti-ageing skincare range – it left me glowy and hits shelves TOMORROW

ONCE you hit 45, getting the right skincare is key.

But there is so much out there that choosing the right products can be boggling.

And many of them come with a hefty pricetag too.

But in steps Aldi to the rescue with its brand new range of “science-driven” products designed to give aging skin a youthful boost.

I have been guilty of sticking to the same old make-up remover and moisturiser routine, which I am sure is doing my tired face no favours.

So I was intrigued to try out the new Lacura range, which launches tomorrow – Sunday, March 9 – to see how it fared on my skin.

First up is the Lacura HA5+ Serum – priced at £6.99, 50ml.

This has added Acacia and Citric Acid, making it a lightweight and fast absorbing serum which boasts ‘visible lifting and tightening properties’.

This was so smooth going on, and genuinely left my skin feeling silky.

I also like the squeezy applicator, which made it super simple to apply.

Next up is the HA5+ Eye Cream – which is £4.99 for 15ml.

An eye cream is a must for anyone over 40, even just to make you feel less tired.

This is a targeted product which is designed to reduce puffiness, minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and soothe the delicate skin around the eye area.

It also felt buttery soft going on the skin, and I feel it did make me look less exhausted – ideal for a busy working mum.

I also loved the HA5+ Day Cream, which comes in at £7.99 for 50ml.

This is branded “a secret weapon for intensely hydrated and youthful skin”.

The cream definitely felt like it was tightening up my skin, particularly around my cheeks – and I am impressed with the fact it has UV filters.

Night cream is something I often neglect, but it’s so important to give your skin a boost while you doze.

And the HA5+ Night Cream, priced at £7.99 for 50ml, has added Watermelon Seed Oil to prevent overnight moisture loss and support skin regeneration.

I tried the Lacura range for a week and really liked the glow I was left with after seven days of applying day and night.

It was also nice to get into a proper routine, and being able to do so at a bargain price.

My only comment would be that it’s quite a highly-perfumed product so might not suit more sensitive skin types.
