A member of the government’s Communications Team, Dr. Samuel Ayeh, has alleged that some chief executive officers are rejecting appointees from the president.
According to him, these chief executives claim there is no space in their organizations to accept persons sent to these offices by the president of Ghana.
The worrying development to him should not happen, especially when the president created space for them to occupy.
He is of the view that these condescending actions must not be made to fester in any state organization, as it demoralizes the base of the political party.
“I’ve received so many calls from our party base. Some CEOs are rejecting appointees sent to their offices. We all campaigned; some people died, some people lost their partners, among others. So after campaigning, you don’t lord yourself over others. They are behaving as if they appointed themselves. Someone is appointed as Corporate Affairs Manager and when they go to the office, the CEOs say there is no space for them. Some happened today.
We are only sounding a caution. If you are doing this to your colleague appointee, then what will you do to the ordinary party person? These people campaigned with their lives and resources. These are the things that took the NPP to the opposition, and the NDC party base will not allow that to happen,” he said.
“If you are a CEO, be careful. Let us work in the interest of the country and the interest of the Party. You are just one person and we will not allow you to destroy the good work that the people have done to bring the party to power,” he stated.
