The WWE Universe was at a loss for words after Elimination Chamber when John Cena, the poster child of virtue, took a dark turn and led a shocking assault on Cody Rhodes. Following the event, in the postmatch conference he decided not to comment on his actions. Thus, leaving the fans to anticipate that he will forsake his integrity for a 17th WWE Champion in his final run.

Cena’s actions made waves on the internet, and many still can’t bring themselves to believe that their childhood idol turned on them. However, it turns out that The Final Boss had a massive favor to ask his old rival to become a part of WrestleMania 41. Though it was a risky move, in the end, it played out well, as fans are now all-hyped as they await the greatest PPV in the history of sports entertainment.
The Rock discarded his original WrestleMania plans that involved Cody Rhodes
WrestleMania 41 is knocking at the door, and fans can’t get any more excited as they witnessed the greatest heel turn of all time, which changed the trajectory of WWE forever. While the fans did anticipate that John Cena would have one last heroic run before he hangs up his boots. He did the unthinkable as he sold out to Dwayne Johnson, breaking the rules, as he finally decided to get to the top.

His assault on Cody Rhodes proves that he is hungry for his 17th WWE title and will pull out all the stops at WrestleMania 41 as he faces the American Nightmare. Nevertheless, every fan would be flabbergasted to learn that the Leader of Cenation was not the first choice to go heel.
In a recent report from WrestlePurists (@WrestlePurists) on X, it was reported that Johnson wasn’t going to wrestle at the grandest stage of them all and wanted Rhodes to fuel the Homelander theories. The page also mentioned how Cena was the “second choice.”

The Brahma Bull had to go for his second choice because some executives believed that the current Champ going heel would have “hurt the company” and believed that “this current crowd is Cody’s crowd.” Additionally, in another tweet, it was reported how Cena turning a heel alongside The People’s Champ was booked for the WrestleMania main event.
However, last-minute changes took place that changed the decision of Cena going heel in the Elimination Chamber. The actions merged seamlessly as The Final Boss gave signs of how it was only a matter of time before Cena went rogue on the fans.
The WWE Universe calls it “wild” to see John Cena as a second-choice heel
Even though it is hard to see our childhood idol going heel, the words Cena being a second choice for going heel were harder to believe. What made them feel so reluctant was that the 16-time WWE Champion going heel incited a bigger reaction from the fans than Cody Rhodes could have created after his current run.

Consequently, the fans felt divided as they gave their burning take on how Cena going heel was not a last-minute decision. Some supported Plan B because they felt that Rhodes’ potential and his momentum would have been affected as a heel. The fans commented,
Ain’t no way in hell cena was a last second heel turn you don’t just do that out of no where

Cody Rhodes is the biggest baby face in WWE.
For him to turn heel right now would hurt his momentum.
John Cena turning heel was the right choice.

Cena was always the plan, on tv screenplay is different to what is planned for months💯🤞
I can tell you now that there is already a plan for the next 3 months on what should happen🤞💯
On whether who should win and when, that can always be changed or twicked.

Imagine if Cody went heel and went after John instead. John Cena would’ve been the ultimate babyface of all time. Everyone wanting Cena to win the title even more
