Charles Nii Armah Mensah has taken a swipe at Communications Minister and the President over the Independence Day bundle packages.
He is of the firm opinion that Ghanaians do not need free data for anything but rather opportunities to make their lives better.
Shatta Wale as he is popularly called, emphasized that the bundle will not change a thing about the poor lives of the Ghanaian people.
Rather, opportunities to create wealth for the people is what should be considered by the leadership of the country.
His worry was that as the leadership of the country gives citizens free data, they will be siphoning the country cash and resources to enrich themselves while the people continue to remain poor.
He stated in a post shared via social media that “This is not what Ghanaians need massa ..You think this is what can make you stay in power Abi .. You didn’t even say 1000ghc for every Ghanaian and small time you will be planning to buy properties abroad …Next Joke please !

It will be remembered that on Independence Day, Communication Minister, Sam Nartey George announced that government had directed the various telcos to provide the citizens with data packages.
All three telecom companies – MTN Ghana, Telecel Ghana and AT Ghana agreed to offer a GHS10 bundle which would offer 6GB of data instead of the usual 1GB regular offering or 3GB offerings on holidays for the same price.
