Keke Palmer’s 2-year-old son Leodis “Leo” joined his mom for a fashion shoot and completely stole the show! The toddler, who Palmer shares with ex Darius Jackson, took a snap with his mom, and one detail on his look is amazing!
In a new post on Instagram, the One of Them Days star shared several photos of her outfit, featuring her stunning short red hair clipped back in a middle part, her strappy black top, and her skirt with cut-out sides, which she paired with black high heels. She looked like one hot mama! But the first picture is our favorite, as it features an impromptu moment with baby Leo. He sits on his mom’s hip dressed casually in a white t-shirt and tan shorts. It’s obvious that it wasn’t planned for him to be in this photo, but he didn’t want to be left out either!
His little baby face is angelic with perfect rosy cheeks, and his hair is up in tight braids. The coolest part? Zoom in on the picture to see some of the beads in his braids spell out a message. On one side of his face, alphabet letters spell out “LEO” in between cute green beads. On the other side, the beads spell out “TWO” for his age. Isn’t that just darling?!
Leo got his braids for his birthday at the end of February. A post shared to his Instagram, run by his parents, explained, “I had the best birthday ever!! It started off with my mommy braiding my hair. She really annoyed me with that but we were watching Nemo so I was distracted enough 😅”
We are totally impressed Palmer was able to do this herself with just a little help from Finding Nemo! My sons scream when I approach them with a brush, so that’s a huge accomplishment.
At the end, the caption teased the fun beads in his hair: “You guys see my name in my hair? YUH!” Obsessed!
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the “Ungorgeous” singer revealed that her son has given her more self-confidence. “I attribute it to self-love, which has been ignited even more so by my son,” she told the outlet. Palmer continued, “You know, when you have a kid, you’re always trying to figure out what you can do better, how you can be better for the child, and loving yourself to me is No. 1.”
“I’ve been pouring so much more into myself so that I can be the best mom to him,” she added. “And it has made my life even more fulfilling.”
