Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Cage Coppola proposed to his girlfriend, Jenifer Canter.
“She is the love of my life and I am committed to her forever,” Weston, 34, told People on Friday, March 7, of their engagement. “What I have with Jenifer is a God-given divine phenomenon, and therefore it is incomparable. She is the love of my life and our special love is uncanny.”
He added, “I am honored to be with the absolute love of my life. We look forward to changing the world and making our legacy.”
Hours earlier, Weston shared a similar sentiment via Instagram.

“@_babyjen_ I love you more than any man has ever loved in the history of humanity. That astronomically immeasurable love multiplies in every second,” Weston wrote on Thursday, March 6. “You are my first love, only love, the love of my life and my last love. Our sacred union is the god-given divine cosmic phenomenon I have awaited and envisioned since I was a child. I remember seeing your image before me when I asked God to show me who I was destined for 9 years after we were born in the same hospital.”
He continued, “You saved my life because I was born for you and I truly can’t wait to change the world with you. … You get the greatest version of me and that shall exist within my art as well. I can’t wait to release all my love songs to you.”
This will be Weston’s fourth marriage. He was previously married to Nikki Williams from 2011 to 2012, Danielle Cage from 2013 to 2016 and Hila Cage Coppola from 2018 to 2020. (Weston shares sons Lucian and Sorin with Danielle and daughters Venice and Cyress with Hila.)
Weston, Nicolas’ son with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton, was arrested for assault in July 2024 after an alleged physical fight with mom Fulton. Weston was released on bond within hours and pleaded not guilty to assault. (According to Fulton, she was trying to help Weston amid mental health concerns but he reportedly fought back.)
Fulton, 57, filed court documents in February, also claiming that Nicolas, 61, allegedly ignored Weston’s mental health concerns and enabled his behavior.

“Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals,” Fulton claimed in court documents. “Nicolas has been aware of Weston’s history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others.”
Nicolas, for his part, denied the accusations.
“The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous,” the actor said in a statement to Us last month. “Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother.”
In his Thursday tribute to Canter, Weston did subtly address his substance abuse issues while revealing that “full sobriety is so easy.”
“Our mystical and spiritual connection and knowledge combined is so uncanny that now my full sobriety is so easy I forgot I had a problem,” he noted in his Instagram post. “The way it was always supposed to be shall always be and I love you galaxies above human love.”
