Her ex-husband and icon, David Hasselhoff, released an official statement soon after. He confirmed the news of his ex-wife’s death and thanked everyone for supporting his family during this difficult time.

An excerpt from Hasselhoff’s statement – “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Bach and Hasselhoff were married on December 8, 1989, with the couple welcoming their first daughter, Taylor-Ann, on May 5, 1990, and their second daughter, Hayley, on August 26, 1992. After, Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January 2006, claiming irreconcilable differences as the major reason.

What followed was an ugly legal battle between the two for the children’s custody rights. In the end, Bach got custody rights for her two daughters, and Hasselhoff was granted visitation rights. After their public split, Bach accused Hasselhoff of domestic violence.

Although he denied the allegations, the severe allegations had taken the Hollywood industry by storm, resulting in Hasselhoff’s reputation taking a severe hit. However, Hasselhoff denied the domestic violence accusations, and the matter was soon ended without a major fuss in the media, ending a very public spat. They then both went on to have very full lives.

The iconic Hollywood actress is no longer with us, but she will always be remembered for her works like Route 66, More than Puppy Love, Knight Rider, Superboy, Baywatch, Baywatch Nights, Viper, and many more.

We stand with the Bach family and offer our deepest condolences for a life lost and a star lost too soon.
