Black Clover season 5 is yet to deliver any updates regarding its release, but that can’t stop fans from hoping. Black Clover season 4 ended at the exact moment that the manga was entering the best arc, making the wait for the next season even more excruciating.
But rest assured, once the anime returns, fans will have the ultimate battles and twists served up on their plates back to back. The Spade Kingdom Raid arc is going to get better than ever and will be followed by an even better arc!
Black Clover season 5 will get worse before it gets better

Defeating the Dark Triad and suppressing the devils from wreaking havoc on the continent was never the final goal. In fact, the Dark Triad aren’t even the main villains because once they are suppressed, the real villain, Lucius, will appear to challenge everything that Asta and the rest of the magic knights have known.
Lucius’ ultimate plan is to destroy humanity, rebuild everything from scratch, and be the unquestionable ruler. Of course, the magic knights can’t have that, which ultimately leads to a massive fight. Unfortunately, all the heroes soon find out that they have been severely outmatched.

He uses foul ways and slashes Asta across the chest when he is distracted. Asta is then left on a rooftop, mortally wounded. Lucius considers that his biggest obstacle is gone and announces that Judgement Day will begin in seven days from then.
A foreign land with foreign techniques
Thankfully, Asta is not dead; he is saved by someone and ends up on the shores of an unknown region. Soon, he discovers it is the Land of the Sun, the distant homeland of Yami Sukehiro. There he earns some important allies as well as learns an ability that would soon save him as well as his magic knight comrades.

Soon, Judgement Day arrives, and Asta returns to clash with Lucius and his forces. Lucius is in his Godlike form and uses uses Soul Magic and gravity-based magic to overwhelm Asta. However, Asta is no longer the same guy as before, and his Anti-Magic Zetten can nullify Lucius’ spells. As the fight escalates, Lucius is forced to take his opponent more seriously.
Lucius then resorts to creating multiple clones of himself, each of whom wields a different power. But Asta, who has begun to master Zetten, can now cut through them one by one while Yuno assists with his Star Magic. Asta’s training in the Land of the Sun suddenly becomes crucial to counter Lucius’ time manipulation.
Asta will attain the ultimate technique in Black Clover season 5

The ultimate power-up that will help Asta go head to head against Lucius is Zetten, a skill that he learned at The Land of the Sun. Zetten is used by manipulating ki, not mana, which means even an Anti-Magic user like Asta can pull it off. In fact, the Land of the Sun was important because it gave Asta the exact development that he couldn’t find in the magic-dominated kingdoms.
To use Zetten, one has to build up magic within their body and concentrate it into a limb. Then, a swift physical motion releases a blast of energy which is capable of slicing targets from a distance. Asta replicated Zetten with Anti-Magic to make it his own, a skill that came into use while fighting Lucius. Once animated, Asta’s Anti-Magic Zetten is bound to be the cherry on top for every Black Clover fan.

During his final bout with Lucus, Asta unleashes a decisive Zetten slash infused with the power of Devil Union. The resulting attack sliced straight through Lucius’ magic. His final blow on the devil is a scene to watch with awe.
Black Clover manga is available to read on Viz Media, and the anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
