AN Irish holidaymaker has revealed how she upgraded to Aer Lingus’ business class on her honeymoon for FREE.

And she revealed how she was able to surprise her husband with an upgrade to business class on their honeymoon.
Using Aer Lingus Avios points, the couple were moved up from economy class – and it didn’t cost a cent.
She said: “Surprise my husband with an upgrade for our honeymoon.
“You upgrade to Business Class with Aer Lingus with Aer Lingus Avios points.”
You can earn Avios points by flying with Aer Lingus, and also with partner airlines like British Airways, Iberia and Vueling.
The number of Avios you earn depends on the distance you fly and the type of fare you book, with more points for longer flights and higher fare classes.
Beyond flying, you can earn Avios by booking hotels, renting cars or shopping with AerClub’s retail partners.
If you have an AerClub credit card, you can also earn Avios on everyday purchases like buying groceries or going to restaurants.
Once you’ve collected enough Avios, you can redeem them for Reward Flights on Aer Lingus and partner airlines – and it can cover all costs of the flight.
And like this savvy couple, Avios points can also be used for upgrades to Business Class on transatlantic flights.

What’s more, Ireland’s national airline is offering an Avios-Only flight to Faro this August.
The flight departs Dublin on August 17 and returns from Faro on August 24.
AerClub members can book return seats for just 15,000 Avios, including a 10kg and 20kg bag; however, taxes and fees are additional.
And if members don’t have enough Avios they can also use a Cash + Avios option.
This exclusive flight follows the announcement of Aer Lingus’ first-ever Avios-Only flight to Tenerife, which sold out in under three hours due to high demand.
