Stacey Solomon thrilled as ‘jetwash season’ returns and she gets her green, mossy garden playset looking brand new again

STACEY SOLOMON sounded thrilled as she told fans ‘jetwash season’ has begun again.

The Sort Your Life Out star took to Instagram to update her six million followers that with the weather warming back up, she’s able to do her “favourite” thing – jetwashing her garden.

Spring is coming,” Stacey gushed, as she showed viewers her children’s garden playset, which looked weathered by the damp and cold winter.

“Their little play gym is green with algae.

“So I’m going to jetwash it and then I’m going to stain it and treat it for the summer.”

She showed fans a clip of her in action, giving the grotty old playset a new lease of life by blasting away the algae and moss with her powerful hose.

Stacey jokingly overlaid her clip with Marvin Gaye’s ‘Lets Get It On’ in a nod to her love for the cleaning method.

She captioned her clip: “I don’t really need anything in my life but my jetwash tbh, my jetwash is my hobby.”

Every part of the playset received a hose down, including the climbing rope, monkey bars and wooden cabin.

Once her climbing frame had dried, Stacey went back over with a wood stain for an added layer of protection.

She applied a generous coat of stain before showing off a video of the results of her handiwork.

Then, the Loose Women star posted a ‘tap to tidy’ before and after, showing the huge difference her DIY had made.

The tired, grotty looking climbing frame looked brand new again – and was perfectly protected for the upcoming months.

She captioned her results: “Really though, there is nothing more satisfying in life.”

Stacey’s fave hobby

It’s not the first time Stacey has shown off her unusual passion, last Easter she used her jetwash to bring Pickle Cottage’s old fence pannels back to life.

Posting a clip of her moss-covered fence to her Instagram story, the star said: “Jet wash season is upon us.

“My favourite summer hobby”.

The star added that she had had countless messages from her fans asking “Stace, surely it’s jet wash weather by now”.

“I love that you’re as excited as I am”, she said.

Stacey blasted her fence posts with a pressure washer, until the moss was gone, and the fence posts were sparkling.

She then moved on to a wooden bench, blasting it until there wasn’t a trace of moss in sight.

The mum of five finished off by spraying her paving stones until they were squeaky clean.

Stacey Solomon’s cleaning tips

IF you want a home that gleams like Stacey’s, you’ll need to listen up!

Label Everything: Stacey swears by the power of labelling. From pantry jars to storage bins, clear labels help keep everything organised and easy to find.

Daily Tidy Routine: Dedicate 15-20 minutes each day to tidying up. This prevents clutter from building up and makes weekly deep cleaning less daunting.

Baking Soda Magic: Stacey uses baking soda for a variety of cleaning tasks. It’s great for deodorising carpets, cleaning grout, and even freshening up mattresses.

Upcycle Containers: Repurpose old jars, tins, and containers to store cleaning supplies, craft materials, or kitchen ingredients. It’s both eco-friendly and cost-effective.

Shine with Vinegar: White vinegar is a staple in Stacey’s cleaning arsenal. It works wonders on windows, mirrors, and even limescale build-up in kettles.

Make It Fun: Turn on your favourite music or podcast to make cleaning less of a chore and more of a fun, productive activity.

Use a Toothbrush: For those hard-to-reach spots, a toothbrush can be an excellent tool. Use it to scrub grout lines, around taps, and in other small crevices.

Declutter Regularly: Stacey advises a regular declutter session to get rid of items you no longer need. This keeps your home neat and creates more space for the things you love.

Air Fresheners: Create your own natural air fresheners using essential oils. Stacey loves using lavender or citrus oils to keep her home smelling fresh.

Microfibre Cloths: These are essential for dusting and cleaning surfaces without leaving streaks. They are reusable and can be easily washed.

Incorporate these tips into your routine for a cleaner, more organised home, just like Stacey Solomon’s!
