In the galaxy-spanning war of Helldivers 2, Super Earth’s finest need more than just grit and a love for Managed Democracy™. They need firepower, and lots of it. Enter the Warbond system, Arrowhead’s refreshingly player-friendly take on the battle pass.

Unlike other games that treat your wallet like an expendable grunt, Helldivers 2 Warbonds never expire. You can even earn them through good old-fashioned bug-squashing, bot-busting, and squid-zapping—no credit card required! It’s almost like Arrowhead believes in non-predatorily letting players enjoy their game. Radical concept, we know.
But with eleven Warbonds now available, which ones are worth your hard-earned Super Credits? Join us as we rank these freedom-fueled progression tracks, from “meh” to “mandatory for spreading liberty.”
Best Warbonds in Helldivers 2

Not all Warbonds are created equal in the eyes of Super Earth. Some will turn you into a one-person army, while others might leave you feeling like you brought a peashooter to a Bile Titan fight.
Let’s break down these progression tracks and see which ones truly deserve a Helldiver’s salute.
11. Chemical Agents

Released in September 2024, the Chemical Agents Warbond promised to let us wage war like it’s 1915 all over again. Unfortunately, it ended up being less effective than it looked.
Sure, the idea of gassing your enemies sounds great on paper (don’t quote us on that), but in practice, most Helldivers found themselves choking on their own supply more often than not. The SG-8P Punisher Plasma is decent, but not enough to salvage this stinker of a Warbond.
10. Polar Patriots

Released in May 2024, the Polar Patriots Warbond is the perfect choice if you’ve always wanted to cosplay as a Helldiver who got lost on the way to Hoth. The arctic-themed gear looks “cool”, but that’s about where the excitement ends.
The AR-61 Tenderizer is as lukewarm as a snowball in summer, and the SMG-72 Pummeler feels like it’s firing snowflakes instead of bullets. At least the PLAS-101 Purifier can melt some ice… and occasionally an enemy.
9. Urban Legends

December 2024 brought us the Urban Legends Warbond, clearly designed by someone who thought fighting aliens in a city would be just like paintball, but with more property damage. The SQC-19 Stun Lance is a fun toy, sure, but it’s about as practical in most fights as bringing a selfie stick to a gunfight.
The E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement stratagem is nice, assuming you can convince your teammates to stand still long enough to use it. Overall, this Warbond is more style than substance—perfect for those who prioritize looking good over, you know, surviving.
8. Viper Commandos

June 2024’s Viper Commandos Warbond tried to make close-quarters combat cool again. Spoiler alert: it’s still a great way to get up close and personal with a Charger’s mandibles. The AR-23A Liberator Carbine is decent for those who like their guns like they like their democracy—short and punchy.
The SG-22 Bushwhacker, with its triple-barrel design, is great for when you absolutely, positively need to turn everything in front of you into swiss cheese. Just don’t expect to hit anything further than spitting distance.
7. Democratic Detonation

Released in April 2024, the Democratic Detonation Warbond is for those who believe the best solution to any problem is to make it explode. The BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle is surprisingly effective, proving that sometimes democracy is best served one precise shot at a time.
The R-36 Eruptor Rifle, on the other hand, is for when you need to deliver freedom in a more… widespread manner. Just remember, with great explosive power comes great responsibility—and a lot of apologizing to your teammates.
6. Truth Enforcers

October 2024’s Truth Enforcers Warbond is all about spreading “truth” faster than a rumor in a Super Earth high school. The SG-20 Halt shotgun lives up to its name, stopping enemies in their tracks—and sometimes your teammates too, if you’re not careful.
The PL-15 Loyalist Plasma Pistol is a nice sidearm for those who like their secondary weapons to pack a punch and possibly melt their holster. The Dead Sprint Booster is great for those times when you need to deliver democracy at Mach 3.
5. Freedom’s Flame

August 2024 brought us Freedom’s Flame, because nothing says liberty like setting everything on fire. The SG-451 Cookout is less of a shotgun and more of a handheld barbeque, perfect for when you want your enemies well-done.
The FLAM-66 Torcher is great for area denial, or for Helldivers who always dreamed of being a walking fire hazard. Just remember, “friendly fire” is still fire, no matter how patriotic your intentions.
4. Cutting Edge

Cutting Edge, released in March 2024, brought us weapons that make you feel like you’re in a sci-fi movie—until you accidentally shoot your own foot off. The LAS-16 Sickle, although it could use some of that Destiny 2 Trace Rifle flair, is still a beast, capable of slicing through enemies like a hot knife through butter.
The SG-8P Punisher Plasma is for those times when you absolutely need to turn an area into a light show. Just be prepared for your teammates to complain about lens flare every time you fire.
3. Servants of Freedom

February 2025’s Servants of Freedom Warbond is for the Helldiver who thinks subtlety is for cowards. The LAS-17 Double-Edged Sickle takes the already potent Sickle and cranks it up to 11. It’s like Arrowhead said, “If at first you don’t succeed, double the laser power.”
The GP-31 Ultimatum grenade pistol is for when you need to make a point, and that point is “explosion.” And let’s not forget the B-100 Portable Hellbomb stratagem—because sometimes, you just need to carry around a miniature sun in your back pocket.
2. Steeled Veterans

The Steeled Veterans Warbond, one of the earliest premium offerings, remains a top-tier choice for any serious Helldiver. The SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary takes the already powerful Breaker shotgun and adds a spicy kick of fire damage.
But the real star here is the P-4 Senator. This double-action revolver isn’t just a sidearm; it’s a statement. Nothing says “I’m here to liberate” quite like a hand cannon that can punch through heavy armor. The Servo-Assisted armor passive is just icing on the cake, turning you into a walking, talking, democracy-spreading machine.
1. Helldivers Mobilize

Old is gold, and sometimes, the original is still the best in Helldivers 2. The free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond might not have the flash of later offerings, but it packs a punch where it counts. The SG-225 Breaker remains a top-tier choice for turning enemies into mincemeat at close range.
The PLAS-1 Scorcher is a versatile beast, equally adept at clearing hordes or taking down tougher, medium armored enemies. And let’s not forget the variety of armor sets (the Democracy Protects passive is still in fashion) and cosmetics that let you customize your look as you spread managed democracy across the galaxy.
What really sets this Warbond apart is its accessibility. It’s a testament to Arrowhead’s philosophy—giving players a solid foundation of powerful tools right from the start, no purchase necessary. In a world of microtransactions and paywalls, that’s something truly worth saluting.
So, fellow Helldivers, which Warbond is your go-to for spreading liberty across the stars? Are you a fan of the classics, or do you prefer your weapons with a bit more… experimental flair? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
